About this villa rental
A ‘mosca bianca’ (white fly) is how the locals describe this magical location with its beautifully renovated lamia, private pool, outdoor kitchen with barbecue, pizza oven and very own orange grove, i.e., an exceptionally rare find.
The Lamia has been restored with its original stone features and vaulted ceiling and is situated just a few minutes walk from the old town of Ostuni, The White City, boasting unrivalled sea views, as far as the eye can see, as well as a picture postcard view of the old town.
However, whilst you are a stone's throw from Ostuni, the villa is situated in its own private orange grove where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The original lamia, which is now the sitting room, has been sympathetically extended to include a large kitchen/dining area and 2 double bedrooms, which lead straight out to the pool, all with ensuite bathrooms. The other 2 bedrooms are accessed from outside the main villa right next to the pool and are self-contained. Each bedroom has it's own private access but they are connected by an internal door, which can be locked for privacy. It is easy to access the main building, however, as the outside stairs take you straight up to the kitchen.
From the sitting room you can access the first of two terraces with stunning panoramic views of the beautiful Adriatic coast located just 8km away. The sea views stretch for miles in front of you and, to your left, you have the picture postcard view of the White City.
Ostuni is brimming with restaurants and cool bars and during the summer has a whole host of events in the piazza from live music to art exhibitions to street artists and is buzzing till the early hours. During the day you can relax by the beautiful pool overlooking the orange grove whilst gazing out to sea or enjoy a day at any of the variety of different beaches and coves along the coast. If you want a break from the sunbed there are plenty of day trips you can take to explore the beautiful medieval towns dotted around Salento and sample the amazing food and wines the region has to offer.
In the evening, savour a sun-downer on the top terrace watching the twinkling lights of Ostuni before enjoying a BBQ by the pool or trying your hand at making your own pizzas in the pizza oven. Whatever you do, you can be sure that all your senses will be awakened in this magical place. And if you want a winter getaway, the villa boasts underfloor heating and a beautiful original stone fireplace to keep you warm at night. It is truly an all year round experience.

Overall our stay was pleasant. We were two families with children aged between 1- 9yrs and whilst the layout was great for two families to enjoy with sufficient privacy, for safety reasons I would recommend for young toddlers.
Bedrooms and bathrooms lovely as was the incredible view from the top terrace.
On the negatives, the place does require some attention which did impact our stay. Air-con in the kitchen and one bedroom were not working. The pool definitely needs to be relined and all the cushions for the outdoor seating areas were very old and ripped. We could not even sit in the top terrace as the cushions were left out during the storm prior to arrival and still had not dried after 5 days. We could not enjoy the bbq on the first night as planned as no lighters worked nor were there any working bottle openers. Just some small attention to detail would have made the stay perfect.

It’s a great house - the outdoor space and views are great and a short walk into Ostuni. We were there as two families - 9 in total and 5 kids under 5. Lots of stairs but was easily manageable with small ones. Melinda sorted extra high chairs and cribs as needed and everything on site worked as expected. Francesco was also really helpful to sort any extras we needed incl taxis etc. Hopefully we can return one day!

We had a wonderful time in Ostuni. The view of the town from the terrace is priceless. We enjoyed the pool and ping pong. Everyone had their privacy and the accomodations were very clean and comfortable. The property and garden is so interesting- we loved exploring.
It is an easy walk to town but the road is narrow and the drivers are speedy so use caution at night especially. Thank you, Melinda, for sharing your little slice of heaven with us. It was a great introduction to Puglia.

This property exceeded expectations in every way. It’s interior design and furnishings were better than the photos suggest, it’s layout is fantastic - especially the pool area for daytime lounging and the rooftop deck for late night cocktails. The views in every direction are ideal. And the location is excellent- just a short walk into town which our group (including young kids) did daily. Highly recommend!

My husband and I and 4 of our friends recently stayed at Villa Aranciato in Ostuni and it was a magical time.
The villa is within a very short walk to Ostuni town and has unobstructed views of panoramic Ostuni and across to the coastline.
It was very comfortable for us 6 adults and we loved the amenity that this location provided.
It is a brilliant base for driving to other sites in Puglia, but also great just sitting around the pool or having the obligatory aperitivo up on the roof terrace.
Ostuni town is well provided with amazing restaurants, bars and other amenities and is very picturesque. Exploring the town itself provided for many hours of pleasure.
If you wish to have a Puglian summer holiday, this location and villa are perfect.
We will treasure our memories here for ever, especially since I celebrated a milestone birthday here. Perfect in every way.
Thank you.

We were a group of 4 couples that stayed in this beautiful villa. The views are breathtaking and we especially loved all the different seating areas outside. The pool was a plus especially on hot days.
It is about a 10 minute walk to the main piazza in Ostuni. The walk was easy, mostly flat with some uphill as you get closer to town. Its good to have a small flashlight or use your phone when walking at night since it’s a country road with no lighting until you approach the town.
The kitchen is well equipped and comfortable.
The bedrooms were comfortable all with en-suite bathrooms.
Things to note… if you don’t have a car ask the property manager Francesco to call a cab to take you to the supermarket (Famiglia) just outside the main town to buy what you need for your stay. There is also another grocery store in town to pick up stuff you can easily carry if you can walk for 25 minutes and carry a bag.
If you have mobility issues or young toddlers this house maybe be difficult to get around because of the multiple levels and steps and lack of railing, which can be typical in Italy.
Melinda the owner is very helpful and responsive. Francesco the manager is the best. We were able to check in early.

The property was wonderful, very modern additions to the traditional lamia lounge room. The property manager, Francesco went above and beyond to accommodate our late arrival and then to help out with transport. We couldn't thank him enough. The villa is only a short walk to Ostuni old town which is full of great restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend the villa to friends.

Great villa - 4 double rooms, all with aircon, (necessary with 40 degree heatwave!), well-equipped kitchen and only a 5-10 minute walk into the heart of the beautiful city of Ostuni. 10-15 minute drive to the beach, beautiful olive groves, and other picturesque towns to explore. Would highly recommend for families - although the layout of the house might make it tricky for those with toddlers or those with mobility issues.

Our family of 7 loved this place! Amazing location and beautiful views from all locations at the house. We could walk to town easily and yet be far enough to feel secluded. Host was very communicative and Francesco was very helpful with arranging transportation for us and super responsive whenever we needed him. Accommodations were very comfortable and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy this paradise again!

Home exceeded our expectations and there was more than ample space for our group of 4 women from the USA traveling through Puglia. We each had our own room and own bathroom. Extremely clean and obviously newly renovated. Furnishings were also clearly new. 10 minute (uphilll) walk to town, gated property so we felt safe. Ample space to park our car in the driveway. Beautiful pool - wish it was warmer so we could've used it! A few minor points we wanted to bring to Melinda's attention to assist her; 1) outside lighting could use some improvement, as its very dark at night, especially for bedrooms with the separate entrance, 2) for a house this size, a bigger coffee pot is needed! The stovetop espresso pot only makes 2 espresso servings - so every morning we needed to make at least 4 pots, 3) home was advertised as having a washer and a dryer. A hanging rack does not qualify as a dryer. It was very damp inside and outside during our stay, so we were unable to use the washer due to the fact that there was no dryer, as clothes would not have dried. Regardless, this stay was wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful home in beautiful Ostuni. Fernando was also very helpful and arranged for a private chef to cook us dinner one night - spectacular! Fernando also helped us with reservations and translating. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What you see online is what you get with this villa. It's simple and beautiful. The biggest bonus for our party is that it's less than a mile walk from the historic Ostuni district. The house is really built toward the outdoors, which we loved. We wrapped in shawls and spent evenings on the upper patio, which offers an amazing view of Ostuni.
Guests should be prepared for the fact that they are responsible for hauling their own separated trash to the recycling center. We had help with a local guide, but if you don't have a car the hauling is a problem. Francesco, the house manager, is available to haul the separated trash for a fee.

We came to Ostuni to attend my daughter’s wedding . We were a group of seven adults sharing the house. This house is ideal for such an occasion. The bedrooms/bathrooms are very comfortable and the entire house was sparking clean.
Best of all, the three terraces and the pool made this a very relaxing vacation . So many nice places to sit. We all were seeking shade because of the heat and always found a nice spot to gather. The walking distance to Ostuni also was perfect. It meant we didn’t have to jump in the car and struggle with finding parking in town when we went out for dinner.
Francesco was always there for us when we had questions.
Beautiful memories for a lifetime were made.
Thank you!

This property was a perfect fit for our family vacation. The location was amazing, so close to the town of Ostuni and a beautiful view from the balcony. Francesco was so helpful and even organized a chief come to the house and prepared a delicious meal. Highly recommend this property.

We loved our time at Melinda’s property in Ostuni.
Located a short walk from the centre, we enjoyed walking into town for lazy lunches and delicious dinners.
We also loved the nearby beaches and just chilling by the pool!
An excellent property that is really well managed & looked after. You’ll love your stay here!

The property is stunning, even better than the photos. On three levels: 1) pool and accommodation, 2) kitchen, living room and outside seating and 3) terrace for drinks with great views of Ostuni and the surrounding area. Communication with Melinda and Francesco was great. They arranged for taxis to take us to and from and the airport as well as trips to Matera and Polignano a Mare. Francesco was there to greet us and see us off. Everything went without a hitch. The location superb - just a ten minute walk to the old town. Ostuni is a fabulous town - lots of great bars and restaurants. My wife and I visited with 5 other friends and everyone loved the property. Would happily stay again.

This villa was absolutely perfect for a group of couples to stay comfortably for a week! The kitchen is well equipped, the pool is big, the roof and outdoor lounge areas are perfect! The villa was a pretty easy walk to the city which is convenient because driving into Ostuni is tough. All the rooms were comfortable and each couple had a bathroom. The property manager was super responsive and very kind! He was available whenever we needed him. Lastly our host was able to coordinate a chef for a lovely group dinner! Overall I would highly recommend this villa!

I traveled to Italy with three friends and we had been dreaming of this trip for months. Melindas home was absolutely magical. It was fully stocked, plenty of bedrooms for our party, every room has its own bathroom which was very nice also.
The property sits very close and a short walk to dreamy Ostuni to have dinners and drinks and no car is even necessary when staying here.
Francesco checked us into the villa and kindly set up car service to Alberobello and Locorotondo which were amazing half day trips to explore Puglia.
The pool and kitchen were so nice for relaxing days enjoying the view.
I can not wait to one day return. Thank you Melinda for letting us experience your beautiful home in heaven (ostuni!)

Our stay was just great. The villa has everything you need or want. Four double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, even a pizza oven and bbq. A wonderful pool, chairs, tables and poolbeds and four (!!!) terraces to choose from for lunch or dinner. The house is airconned, safe and has an alarm. It’s a short walk (5min) to Ostuni with tons of great trattorie and shops and nightlife and and and. The sea is 15min by car, the beaches are nice and there’s a lot of sightseeing to do if you want. If not (and we did) you just chill in the villa, it’s a place made with a lot of passion, live for authenticity but just the modern touch you expect for a five star location. Contact with the manager was fast, simple and effective, exchange with Melinda the owner caring, charming and really inspiring. We will come back!! Thank you
