About this apartment rental
One of the last "ma & pa" places on Clearwater Beach. Beautiful, second level one bedroom apartment. Private bedroom with california king sized bed, full sized bathroom right off the bedroom. Cable TV in both bedroom and living room. Fully loaded kitchen and living room with a great view of the inter coastal waters of Clearwater Beach. A nice sundeck is right outside your door which also over looks the water. Very comfortable, quiet, and beautiful setting.

The price and location were great. The host and property manager were really nice.

First impression was not great as the walkway to get to the staircase is very narrow and shrubs are overgrown. The staircase seems unsafe, doesn’t even look like it’s up to building code standards. Our room was upstairs and the walkway was covered in layers of outdoor carpet, apparently to cover up a rotted balcony because at one point, my foot went into a hole while I was carrying my luggage to the room. The deck is falling apart and has several loose boards making it very unsafe for guests to walk on. The outside rail of the upstairs deck is falling over and actually has caution tape on it. I took pictures but don’t see a place to upload the images.There is a stack of 2x4’s beside the front sidewalk with nails sticking out of them. The window into a/c in the living room doesn’t work well so the living room was warm our entire stay. I realize that making improvements would make the cost go up but honestly, $400+ that we paid for our 2 nights there was way too much! It seemed that we were the only upstairs guests, maybe downstairs give a better rating because they don’t walk around to the back side. Very disappointing!

My sister and I had to sleep with a chair in front on the front door because the door wouldn’t close. Toilet wouldn’t flush properly and when I called host they never called me back. The deck was hazardous , had holes and yellow tape around it. 😢

If you have problems walking in the heat, this is not the place for you. Window air conditioning and the place is dated. Decorations are nice. Climbing the steps might prove difficult for some but we were aware of that. This place is plenty spacious for 2-3 people. It was adequate for A 2 night stay. Use the trolley, parking is difficult.

spend a lot of time at the beach and walking the island; some excursion to the "main land". Great environment all over... fishing trips, dinner cruise... and excellent dining (mainly seafood) in the entire area.
Accommodations were as advertised; we spent most of the time outside though; just enjoyed the coolness inside; some TV; it was too hot to sit outside on the deck though.. pitty. We actually extended our stay.

It’s an “old Florida” property. We didn’t stay there for amenities and knew we would be coming and going all times of the day. It worked out fine for us. Could it use a little updating? Yes. But I also think the price was right too. The owners were a pleasure to deal with.

Simple 1950's era motel.
Has a deck on the intercostal shared with other( about 10) units but next to never saw anyone. Location felt safe. About 1.5 block walk to the beach with easy access. Maintenance on exterior being done-no noise. Unit has full size refrigerator, a small microwave, coffee pot (Mr. Coffee type) and a electric stove (we did not use). Many restaurants walkable nearby. Unit served our purpose of a reasonable few days at the beach. If you are used to fancy condos or high end hotels this unit is not for you but it provided what we needed. The owners were great and made accomadations for us arriving at 1:00am and gave their cell number to contact them with problems even at 1:00am.

Beautiful harbor view
This was a nice, clean little apartment that was perfect for my husband and I to get away. It had a back deck with a beautiful view of the harbor and was only a few minutes walk to the beach.

Super close to the ocean and restaurants. For the price don’t expect anything glamorous. Mike was great. Definitely could use some updating but then so would the price. It was clean and functional.

Good Location, Suited Needs
Like the other reviews said, this property definitely needs major updates. However, it suited my cousin and I’s needs for the weekend we stayed there. Hosts were very communicative and responsive. Great location. The place would be absolutely amazing it if we’re updated! Thank you!

Nice stay-Great hosts
It was represented on the site accurately.It was clean and our king sized bed was great. We had plenty of nice clean towels .I would not plan on using any outside grills and the hotel is dated by the pics you see on site. We were maybe 2 blocks to the beach which was great and we were able to walk to all restaurants , shops , bars , & stores . We enjoyed walking through the town at any hour feeling safe & left our car parked throughout our stay. Our hosts were always available to us..

The apartment was fine, but the style is older and could use some updating. It is within walking distance to the beach and several restaurants which is great. Our biggest complaint is that there was a used towel hanging up in the bedroom which was a little gross.

Quick getaway in Clearwater (away from NE chilly rain)
The property was as expected... quaint family run ma/pa type rental with great views of the inter coastal. The room is spacious with amenities needed for a weekend or weeklong stay.

Great Location
The property was clean and in a great location. It could use some updating, but for the price it is a great deal. when we come back to this area we will rent again! Very convenient and quiet. Nice view from the back deck!

Keep looking.
Check-in was easy and the apartment was ready before check-in time and we were given access. The owners were very personable. That’s the good - lesson learned, if no photos of the property are posted, keep looking. The entire property was in disrepair-it appeared to be years of neglect, to the extent there were safety issues - my husband, who is 63 and handicapped, literally fell through the seat of a deck chair -(5’9” and 170 lbs). Deck boards were loose and a trip hazard. Be prepared to have the sound of planes taking off in the living room and bedroom from the “window shaker” cooling units. The tub didn’t drain and was gross. Bed was reasonably comfortable and clean. Beach access is only about a two block walk so that was great and reasonably close to the “strip” area - we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We enjoyed our stay in Clearwater but if we do return, we will seek other accommodations.

Accommodations were charming and comfortable. Restaurants and beach all within a short walking distance. Dock is a great place to hang out and do some fishing.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The place was perfect for our needs. Spacious, completely stocked, a beautiful deck with gorgeous views of sunrise. And perfect hosts. We could not have asked for more. We would 100% stay here again. It was close to everything, but not so close you heard the crowds.

Park your car and forget it
Perfect spot to enjoy Clearwater beach. Out of the hustle and bustle but you can walk to it in five minutes or less. The property is very clean; Marta said that they are doing extra with the Coronavirus concerns. Bleach, Lysol in all surfaces even the light switches.
Kitchen has what you need and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. Plenty of towels
Mike and Marta were easy to deal with. They quickly answered any questions we had before and during our stay
The deck overlooking the channel was our favorite spot and it was never crowded. Perfect spot to have a drink and isolate from the virus.
The beach itself is a quick two block walk to the west and the property is next to the residential end of the island so it’s pretty quiet.
There is lots of seating on the deck and choice of sun or shade
It’s like your favorite northern Minnesota lake cabin but with a tropical view and warmth
We recommend long beach walks especially up to the state park. But bring water. Also head to downtown St. Petersburg. Need to see the Chihuly glass exhibit. It’s in a part of central ave downtown with lots of little shops and restaurants. Worth the drive
Near the apartment go to the original Frenchies for the super grouper sandwich and the friday shrimp basket special.
If flying during the virus worries you drive down if you can and you can stay here away from crowds and self-isolate in a great spot
It’s not fancy like some other Clearwater beach places but you will really enjoy it
