About this cottage rental
Situated at the beautiful, pristine Eastern end of Waiheke Island, on a private beach called Circular Bay sits a lovingly-restored family cottage. It is located 40 minutes drive from Matiatia ferry and Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant, 30 minutes drive from Kennedy Point Vehicular Ferry.
Circular Bay is a world away from your everyday life, or even your everyday holiday. The property is a special retreat for those who enjoy absolute privacy, relaxation and great times.
From the moment, you start to wind along the coast, you start to feel it. A retreat and a complete get away from anything urban and an entry into a luxurious coastal escape.
Your private beach is 800m of unspoilt, pohutukawa-lined coast. It's perfect for a honeymoon, weekend break, romantic escape, or family holiday. Nestle into your cottage and leave the outside world behind.
Wake up and run 20m down to your own private beach for a swim before you venture on an afternoon outing to nearby Poderi Crisci, Man O' War or Passage Rock wineries to sample some of the stunning produce Waiheke Island has to offer. Finishing off your perfect day with a relaxing spa.
The house has WiFi access and large smart TV as well as a basket full of board and outdoor games for evening or wet weather entertainment.
The Retreat accommodates 6 people comfortably. Only 1 room has a door.

We needed a romantic getaway, we arrived here on a Friday and left on the Monday, and well we didn’t want the leave, the property is really nice with amazing views, and the winery just up the road was super convenient. Needless to say we will likely be coming back to this one

Amazing position
View and position of Bach outstanding but disappointed in some aspects of the Bach especially considering the nightly price tag. In our opinion the spa and grounds around the side ofthe Bach needs more maintenance. There were old beach toys and basketballs littered around the side of the Bach by the spa. With the spa we were unable to get the spa hot enough for night swims. This may have been our lack of spa knowledge but there were no spa instructions in the Bach. There were no curtains on front lounge windows which made it impossible to sit in the lounge in the afternoon or early evening as there was no shade from the sun or glare. There was no radio in the Bach and the clock on the wall didn’t work. Windows very hard to open and need cleaning. We did enjoy the tranquility of the property but in our opinion more maintenance and more attention to detail is needed.

Secluded Beauty
This is a fantastic spot if you're after seclusion and privacy. The house is clean, warm, tastefully decorated and has everything you need, but still has the comfortable feeling of a beach house. The sunsets, views and outlook are spectacular. We had a great time and would definitely go back. The only thing to be aware of is that the two upstairs bedrooms are very close to each other and don't have doors (so lack privacy) and the ceiling on one of them is quite low (we banged our heads a couple of times). Otherwise, this is a magical spot and the perfect place to escape the world and unwind. Highly recommended!

A wonderful, clean magical place
A wonderful, clean magical place. We arrived with our clear directions from Jackie/Hannah and were greeted with a lovely bottle of bubbles from Mudbrick Winery, beautiful clean spaces with all the amenities and a glorious view of a private beach from our accomodation. Comfortable beds, warm spa, clean linen and even a lollie jar to treat ourselves with. Can't wait to visit again - what a beautiful experience.

Would have rated higher if there were more stars! Incredible property.
Would have rated higher if there were more stars! Incredible property. Breathtaking views and sunsets. One of our favourite things to do was sitting in the spa at night and watching the amazing sunsets. If you’re looking for remote isolation with all the creature comforts this is your spot. We are looking forward to booking again.

This cottage is in a glorious secluded location, with it's own private beach.
This cottage is in a glorious secluded location, with it's own private beach. It is a fabulous old cottage that has been renovated and two small bedrooms cleverly added upstairs. We loved the cottage however there was no window treatment in the lounge, which meant in the evening the lounge was too sunny to sit in. Some more seating in the lounge would also be useful. The kitchen was also lacking some basic equipment, such as a sharp knife and a working can opener. Still, we would love to return.

This is a lovely bach and the location is heavenly!
This is a lovely bach and the location is heavenly! However when we went we found the bach to be dirty and in need of some basic maintenance, it was not as pristine as the pictures online perhaps due to the busy festive season. The bach includes everything you need and the location is incredible.
