The rooms we got was far more better than we expected. The service of the staffs were great. Poll was also really good. Had sufficient parking space. Not too crowded. The beaches are short distance from here.
The only issue we faced was the pool timings. We were restricted to use the pool after a certain time.

location and the property is good
the staff is not co operative. room have no facilities like bathing soap towels drinking water etc. and this thing’s are basic. low budget hotels also offers this kind of facilities but this high budget called resort doesn’t full filled ☹️

A big thanks.

Spacious room. Large well appointed bathroom.
Good position with a view of the sea. Pool with sun beds was well positioned and provided a proper swimming space.
Very noisy A/C and the large fridge needed cleaning out.

The staff's behaviour is excellent. The location is also good as described. Very good breakfast. A railway station pickup drop was also arranged by the hotel on request with a reasonable price.
The property is still under renovation but we can understand it.

Lovely Building, Great Location, huge room and lovely Pool with plenty of Sun Beds.
Place is run by two Kashmire Brothers who cannot do enough for you. However I feel they are let down by some of their staff. However the building is going through a bit of a refurbishment and it could be a bit of training needed. Restaurant is closed at the moment but with loads of places a few minutes walk it's not a problem. Definitely stay here again.

Property is huge & rooms are good. Near from Varkala Cliff & black sand beach. Owner was nice. Suggested good restaurants.
But Staff was not responsive. No hot water. Room service provided was not good compared to the paid price. Asked water bottle charges as well in the end.

Location was good and a very quiet place
No mat in front of the bathroom,
Window grills and net full of dust and I had allergic for dust. Bathroom lock was completely broken and fallen many times. Bathroom shower nob fallen many times. No towels were provided,
I had better expectations for the stay but nothing worked out. Just a very normal room

When I first contacted the property to confirm my booking, the first impression itself was very worse. The person who answered my call was not even aware of the fact that I had made a booking and he didn't even respond to me properly. He was very bossy and arrogant and rude as if we are asking him for some charity and to stay in his place for free. I don't think he learnt any manners on how to speak with a customer. That's the worst possible call you can have with a person who is in the line of hotel service and hospitality. He said he'll check and call me back. But even after a longtime I didn't get any reply from him. Then I called him again only to know that he has already switched off the phone. I guess this is how they hang their customers out to dry. When there is a property listed in booking.com, We tend to choose that property because of the trust we have on the site "booking.com" but these people like The Village , they quote a price in the booking.com site and just to scam you off for more money they don't respond to the customers so that they can hike up the prices and make money by lending rooms to people who go to them directly offline and avoid taking customers who book their property through online. Also this place is very overrated and I had read reviews about how the place is totally different from what they had shown in the photos and also read from the reviews and from hearsay that the staffs there in the property are habitually misbehaving with the ladies and girls who come to their property for stay which is a serious offence. This inappropriate behaviour is even encouraged by the property owners it seems. This is really such a shady place and I suggest no one should even consider booking a stay here.

the location. walkable distance to the black sand beach. you can an entire cottage to yourself and has garden view.
the property is very poorly maintained. the cottage we stayed in had broken toiled seat, broken tap, dusty room, paint coming off from the walls, torn and very old sheets and cover, towel. don’t go by the pics the property has posted as they might be from
very long back. We stayed in the last cottage. the staffs are friendly, but the property is pathetic. there isn’t amble parking space as well. there is space for one car but then they might ask you to park it only at night and we parked it outside in the roadside through out out stay.

I stayed in one of the bungalows and it was lovely, especially the small private terrace in front of it. The location is perfect, in a quiet area behind the noisy main street. Also, the guys working here are very helpful and accommodating.
Tip: Go to The Juicy Cafe 5 min down the road for reasonably priced authentic food.
It could be cleaner and the torn mosquito nets could be replaced, but considering it's India, I guess it's alright. :)
