Everything was great. Christopher and he wife were very nice. They have a beautiful cottage. I would definately recommend staying here.

The property is exactly as described. The owner is very responsive and had all the water craft you could ask for to play on the lovely lake. The fenced in yard was a huge plus so for our dog. The water inside was not potable, however, which made brushing teeth, showering, and cooking a little uncomfortable. The owner did provide a lot of bottled water.

Lake was lovely, neighbors were welcoming but unobtrusive. Cottage had Wi-Fi which came in handy for phone calls. Relaxing.

We stayed three nights after a long New England trip. We were able to relax and enjoy wonderful view of lake from cottage. Beautiful mornings enjoying coffee on the bench at end of dock. Just what we needed.

I stayed with my parents and our 2 dogs. We had my niece and nephew come visit. They loved the lake! There are plenty of watercrafts on the property. Their favorite was the paddle board and kayaks. The dogs also loved the property. The back yard is fenced in and the lake is very shallow. Thanks for a memorable stay!!

We had a blast at this cottage, super warm cozy vibe! We went with our 2 kids, grandma and 2 little dogs, couldn’t been happier, lots of things to do, kayaking, fishing, swimming, eating out, glea market, etc…
The owners were always on top of things and very responsive, we recommend this place a 100% looking forward to coming back next summer :)

Bad water
The property was really cute and clean. However, the house smells of mildew. The water is not potable and you can’t shower in it because it smells. The owner is very nice and responsive but didn’t offer a refund when we had to leave early because of the water situation

needed some refining
The location was great, fortunately the fireplace worked and there was sufficient firewood, because the heater did not work, and the owner could not get it working while we were there. The kitchen skink needed to be replaced as it was in terrible shape. The dishes, silverware, and cooking items were practically nonexistent. We had to go to dollar store and buy a number of small items just to make do. We did, however enjoy ourselves because of the location of the cabin, The views of the lake was beautiful. The owner was very responsive and tried to get the heater fixed, however to no avail.

Great spot to vacation
Cottage was very nice and well equipped. Just a few items missing that we would have liked. Loved the fenced yard and proximity to the water. Definitely would rent again. Chris was very responsive to our needs as well.

Pleasent diversion & lots of kayaking!
The house is nice and compact. It's frillfree, even including things like towel racks in the bathroom (it could be done even in such a small space). But everything functions, even in local flooding form the remnants of hurricane Ida, which raised the lake about 1 foot (putting the dock under water for a day). Tip: pull the motorboat out of the water during major rainstorms or be prepared to bail water with a large bucket the next day!
All-in-all, lots of places to see birds - ducks, herons, geese - nooks & crannies on the mile-long Long Meadow Pond, including lily pad marshes. A beach is within a 5-minute walk, with another one just across the lake.
A great break.

Cozy lake house
We had a wonderful time at the lake house. The house is very cozy but had enough room for the 6 of us to enjoy our vacation. There are plenty of boats and kayaks for everyone to go out on the water. The host is easy to contact and responded quickly to our call. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful and peaceful getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely lake cottage! The neighborhood was quiet, the home was well stocked, and had so many options for hours of enjoyment on the lake (e.g. kayaks, canoe, boat, paddle board and more!). My 10 year old daughter was so excited to catch at least 10 fish in a few hours! We greatly look forward to coming back again in the future. Thank you Chris for your warm hospitality.

Wonderful Waterfront Location
We loved our visit to this waterfront cottage in Bethlehem. It had a fenced in backyard which was perfect for our dogs, a nice dock overlooking the lake, a rowboat with a motor, canoe, paddle board, peddle boat and several kayaks. There were nearby association and public beaches, restaurants, wineries and the CT antique trail. Our host was responsive and welcoming. We were in the area for a family reunion, but wish we could have spent more time at the cottage with all the waterfront amenities and nearby activities available!

Perfect weekend getaway
We were looking for a quiet lake front getaway for our young family to enjoy some peace and quiet. This rental fit the bill perfectly. We loved hanging out on the dock fishing and going for canoe rides around the lake. The swimming beach down the street was perfect for the kids. Highly recommend!

CT Getaway
We had a great time at the cottage. Chris was extremely friendly and because he lives across the street, he is easy to get hold of. The cottage is set up as a rustic stay. It is very nice inside and it is just the atmosphere I expected when I had first saw the photos. The outside area is fenced in so it was great for letting my dog out. The Fire Pit was used almost every night and Chris keeps a large amount of fire wood on hand. We also did a good amount of grilling outside on the new grill. I fished from the dock every day and I caught fish every day. It was very windy and cold during the week, so I actually never used the boat with the electric motor. Next time for sure!
I will certainly be back next year for another stay and I hope I can luck out with better weather!

Great getaway close to many Litchfield County towns
This was a great little cottage centrally located to many of the Litchfield County towns and state parks. We had a great time doing many day trips, but also hanging out in the back yard fishing and using the paddleboats. It was a very easy cottage to stay in with kids. We would definitely go back.

Vacation
Quiet neighborhood. Nice fenced in back yard for dogs. Boats were an excellent touch. Fire pit was also very nice to have. Water was a bit murkier than we hoped for but definitely didn’t stop us from swimming.

A hidden cottage
Due to the pandemic, we were looking for a cottage close to home. This filled the bill perfectly. Loved looking at the lake every morning, and during the recent heat spell there was always a cool breeze. Chris had the property looking good and the fact that it was fenced in for the dog was a plus. The beach down the street is great. Lake could be cleaner, but that's certainly not the owner's fault. We had a really good stay.
