About this apartment rental
The holiday home consists of a living room (incl. 100Hz cable TV, DVD player, WLAN, and stereo system), a bedroom, and a child’s room (w/extra bed), as well as a nicely furnished kitchen, and a bath with a tub and shower. All areas are equipped with heated floors. They have separate entrances and their own partially covered terraces. The window frames to the terrace can be opened completely. For some physical activity, there is a table tennis setup and, out on the meadow, a trampoline and a sitting area for some relaxation. The sauna with tepidarium and hot tub can also be rented out. The fire pit can be used for a bonfire or for some grilling fun out in nature. There is a free community pool near the banks of the Rhine and many inviting, hot springs in the area. The home is located at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac and the new, cycling path starts right on the property. NO PAYMENTS BY WESTERN UNION OR CHECK! THE TOTAL AMOUNT IS DUE 1 MONTH BEFORE ARRIVAL! The area: for a diverse offering of leisure activities, there are a variety of flyers to help you explore the region according to your own tastes. Public transportation can take you straight to the heart of the Swiss metropolis of Zurich. In addition to its lakeside location with stunning views of the snow covered Alps, Zurich offers over 150 museums, galleries, cathedrals, and a zoo as well as a unique shopping experience full of international labels and sophisticated Swiss brands. Countless cafes, clubs, bars, and other hubs of activity round out the multifaceted offering of late-night options. Of course, the street festivals, like Zürifest, Caliente, and many more cannot be ignored. The rustic Baden, with its gorgeous setting, features an interesting and historic, city centre; plenty of cultural opportunities; and the unique, mineral-rich, thermal springs (maximum Swiss total mineralisation of 4450mg/l at 46.6°C, Aquae Helveticae), as well as the Baden Grand Casino and the teddy bear museum. I arrived later in the evening and got a little lost (they sent a map but I lost it). I called and the host had her husband drive out to the main street to find me. Really nice and helpful people!!

Wonderful!
My wife, two children and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The property was clean and well equipped, and community/area is quiet and peaceful. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The location is great for visiting the nearby natural places and is less than an hour from Zurich.

LOVELY PROPERTY
I'm so bummed I couldn't stay entire length I reserved. I loved the property, the area and the owner was VERY hospitable. Will recommend this place anyone. If you like peace, quiet and seclusion this area and property is a go to.

Relaxing stay
Very comfortable, private apartment, part of the owners home. Torsten and Cathrin were always available for questions and were very helpful and welcoming. If you do not like to be in but near the city, this is a great spot. Only 20-30 mins to Zurich. The Aldi store across the German border ten mins away is your go to for cheap groceries. The hot tub is only available in winter time heads up, but the bath tub in the apartment is just as good!!

Eher enttäuschend.
Leider halten die Bilder nicht wirklich das was sie versprechen. Wir waren etwas enttäuscht. Die Nutzung von Hot Tub und Sauna werden extra berechnet und waren bei unserer Ankunft nicht wirklich einladend hergerichtet. Gartengeräte standen in der Sauna und ein überquellender Aschenbecher. Uns wurde zwar zugesichert, dass es hergerichtet wird, wenn wir die Sauna nutzen wollen. Die Ferienwohnung ist im Souterrain des Hauses und sehr dunkel. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Depending on what you are looking for this apartment is nearly perfect
We stayed for 3 nights in May as part of the first leg on a 2 week vacation. We wanted a location that was quiet and afforded us an opportunity to acclimate to the time change and provide a launch place to explore the area of northern Switzerland. For those purposes this apartment is a perfect option.
Pros- The apartment is clean and comfortable. In particular we thought the beds were amazingly comfortable and afforded our rest and time zone adjustment
- The surrounding country side is spectacular and us arriving in early may it is hard to imagine a more picturesque setting. We put about 500 km on our rental in 3 days sightseeing in the area.
- The roads in the area are easily driveable and access is good to Germany as others have mentioned in their reviews
- There was plenty of space for our group of 4 with college age sons.
- Cathrin and her husband were welcoming and helpful in orienting to the area and providing directions
Cons- The WiFi works but you have to stand outside or in the kitchen for good access. This wasn't a problem for us, but I could imagine that others might.
- Parking was difficult for us. The apartment is located at the end of a road in neighborhood. It was possible to park, but getting in and out was sometimes tricky. There were a couple of large vehicles taking up space that might not always be there. As I mentioned, we were able to make it work.
- Access to the bathroom is limited. The one bathroom is accessed through the master bedroom. If 2 couples were sharing the apartment it would be awkward to access the bathroom at night. For our purposes, we were staying with our children and it wasn't an issue.
Overall, we would certainly stay again, and given what we wanted to do the apartment was nearly perfect.

Clean and Nice Stay
We spend 5 nights here in Aug 2016 ... The house is clean and cozy ... The village is quiet and relaxing ... Germany is 10 mins away .. Where you can go for a cheaper grocery ..
Zurich is just 30 mins by car ... Unfortunately there was no Internet .. The one they offer .. you have to go outside the house to get the signal ... The host lady and her daughter ( Cathrine and Anna ) are very kind and helpful .. They were around whenever we needed something ( they also washed some cloths for us when we asked about a laundry shop ) ..
It was pity their trampoline was broken .. The kids would love it .. Was one of my reasons to stay here honestly.
We liked our stay ... So many things and places to do and go close to the house .. Car is necessary for that ..

We explored the surrounding areas, Zurich, Lucern, Germany, Basel, and drove the Furka and Grimsel passes. This location was great for all of these things.. There is no local shop in Siglistorf but a post office and a Bar/Pizzera. There are some lovely walks to do locally into the surrounding woodlands. I will certainly be recommending it to friends. Excellent place for a quiet break away.

Great property
Nice place, clean and cozy. If you like staying in the country side, you will love this place. It is quiet and has everything that you would need for your stay. It is only about 25 minutes from Zurich and very close to Germany. We had a great time visiting different towns in Switzerland and Germany.

Just perfect if you seek a peaceful holiday home
We were fortunate to find this 'Ferienhüsli', as there are hardly any other options for self-catering accommodation in the area. Nevertheless, it proved to be the perfect place to stay if you are seeking peace and tranquility in lovely surroundings and want to bring your dog, like we did.
The apartment was very clean, with good beds and facilities. Every day of our one-week stay we took the opportunity to explore the surroundings (great hikes in the area) and enjoy nature (e.g. some red kite roosts in the direct vicinity).
We would definitely recommend this place to other travelers.

Entspannung und Komfort
Will man ein paar Tage im hügligen Teil der Schweiz entspannen, ist man im "Ferienhüsli" der Familie W. genau richtig.
Hier genießt man Sehenswürdigkeiten (Rheifall, div.Museen), die Landschaft und die gemütliche, saubere Ferienwohnung, in der es an nichts fehlt!
Zudem wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen!

Ferienwohnung zum Wohlfühlen!
Es waren sehr wunderschöne und erholsame Tage. Der Empfang war sehr nett & freundlich. Das Appartement ist gepflegt, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, so wie es auch im Inserat und auf der Homepage beschrieben ist.
Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung wie Zuhause gefühlt und waren mit der Unterkunft sehr zufrieden. Das Appartement und der Garten sind blickgeschützt am Ende der Straße gelegen, so daß wir eine ungestörte Privatsphäre hatten. Wichtig sind uns gute, bequeme Betten und auch hier wurde nicht gespart!
Mit gutem Gewissen können wir dieses Appartement empfehlen und
haben es im Bekanntenkreis auch schon getan!
Man fühlt sich, nicht auch zuletzt durch die freundliche Betreuung vor Ort, als willkommener Gast! Vielen Dank für den netten Abend mit dem „grillierten Pouletbrüstli“ (hihi)!
Besonders hilfreich fanden wir die reichhaltige Sammlung von Prospekten & Flyern über alles Sehenswerte aus der Umgebung, zur Planung einiger Ausflüge. Wir haben das Appartement kurzfristig gebucht (danke) und wären gern noch ein paar Tage geblieben – aber wir kommen bestimmt wieder ….
Tja und das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis ist hier auch richtig gut :-)

Weg von zu hause und nichts vermißt !
Wir verbrachten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in der perfekt eingerichteten ,sehr sauberen Ferienwohnung.Es fehlte an nichts und wir hatten sehr schöne Tage mit der überaus netten Vermieterfamilie . Auch gibt es die Möglichkeit Grillabende durchzuführen und den Garten zu nutzen . Selbst ein Internetanschluß ist auf Wunsch möglich gewesen .Diesen konnten wir gut für geplante Ausflüge verwenden.Es war auch viel Prospektmaterial von Sehenswürdigkeiten vorhanden. Die langen Abende genossen wir auf der Terasse mit wunderschönem Blick ins Tal. Es sind unvergessliche zwei Wochen für uns gewesen in so netter Atmosphäre ,so das wir die besten Empfehlungen geben können . An dieser Stelle nochmals ein herzliches Dankschön an unsere Gastgeber ! Estancia muy agradable
La casa está en un entorno traquilo, agradable, muy bien ubicada, a 35 km de Zurich. También está muy cerca de Alemania, a unos 5 km de la frontera. Esta cercanía es muy ventajosa puesto que los precios en Suiza son muy caros y mucho más elevados que en Alemania. La familia es muy agradable y atenta. Lo hemos pasado my bien. Ideal para ir con niños.
