This lovely Rockaway Beach vacation rental is an excellent place for a fun-filled coastal getaway with your loved ones!
Located in the Nedonna Beach part of town, a couple of miles north of the center of Rockaway Beach, this home is right across the street from the beach. While you're here, you will have easy access to all the restaurants and shops of Rockaway Beach, as well as those of Tillamook and other nearby towns.
This listing includes the entirety of a two-level home. Each floor has its own separate entrance, kitchen or kitchenette, living area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom.
Walk into the bottom level of this home to find a living area with a sofa and a large smart TV. There's also a table where you can sit and enjoy a meal or play a board game or round of poker. A mini-kitchen may be compact, but it has the bare necessities of a fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker (no stove or dishwasher).
If you enter the top level of this home, you will find a separate home with even more space! This section of the house also has a full kitchen, a living area, and a bathroom. There are two bedrooms in this section of the house. If you go up the ladder from the living room, you will find yourself in a comfy loft where you can listen to the ocean sounds and enjoy lovely views!
This home offers plenty of entertainment options, including WiFi access, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs, child-friendly board games, and some books. A laundry room on the lower floor will come in handy after a few days of playing on the beach. In addition to the bedrooms, there are a futon and two sofa beds.
The inside of this house is comfortable and welcoming, but there are also plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy! The lower level has two covered patio areas, and the upper level boasts a balcony overlooking the ocean. There is a patio above the garage with picnic tables and a gas grill, so you can have a fun cookout while breathing in the fresh sea air and enjoying the sunshine.
With the beach so close, you will surely want to spend plenty of time strolling along the sand, flying kites, building sand castles, beachcombing, and enjoying the scenery. Depending on the season, you may even be able to glimpse a whale! In Rockaway Beach itself, you will find a grocery store, several eateries, and some cute shops to peruse. If you want more options, take a quick drive south into Tillamook and make sure you allow enough time to visit the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory!
If you drive north along the coast, instead, you will also find plenty of adventure. Go crabbing or boating in Nehalem Bay, or bring a picnic lunch and stop at the fabulous Oswald West State Park. This state park also offers hiking and biking trails, old-growth forests to explore, beautiful beaches with tidepools, and much more. A little farther north is the charming Cannon Beach and the popular Seaside, so you may like to take a day trip up the coast to explore the region.
However you spend your visit, you and your family or friends will love this Northern Oregon Coast home in beautiful Rockaway Beach!

The layout

This property is located one easy block from the beach. The outdoor space at the house is perfect for lounging and visiting. The space is smaller than it appears, and the loft is not ideal for sleeping- futon is very worn. We enjoyed our stay, but would have appreciated a cleaner home.

We enjoyed our stay so close to the beach. The younger generation had the lower floor and the older above. Great backyard. The deck over the gargage in the evening was very relaxing. Well supplied kitchen.

I have rented several places over the years - and what I really appreciated about this place was the accurate description ahead of time - and the welcoming vibe. The owners invest in cleaning- which was excellent- and provide a ton of pots pans dishes - and towels! nothing fancy - which is as it should be. And more for than just 8 people - we had fewer but still the generousness of sharing their beach house comes thru. The garage roof top deck is amazing- great deck furniture with lovely new cushions - and a huge custom made wood picnic table that could fit ..10? People easy. It is steps from the public beach access path - and you can see perks of the ocean from the deck. It is great for two families- who could take turns cooking etc - there is no inner access between the two flats but via an outside protected stair case. Back fenced yard is big - great for dogs- did not bring our daschund- but next time! A fire pit also is a nice touch … since beach can get super windy - we made a fire 2 nights and it was great. Neighbors were friendly too / and fairly far away too. All I. All I am grateful to the owners for allowing us to rent this place - and I hope to be back again!

Cute little house. I like how all the rooms were at the end of the house and the living room, dining room, kitchen area was at the front. The in-law suite was cute. If you are an active person and you like to walk the main strip is really not too far to walk to. Downfalls are that you have to clean and do laundry as though you were at home even though they have "maid service" that comes in between renters. They expect you to clean, which to a certain degree I understand, but they also expect you to do all the linen and the towels before you leave. Then none of the TVs worked in any of the rooms except for the living room. There were no floor mats to wipe your feet on when you came in from the beach so it was inevitable to get sand everywhere. Accessories such as shower heads, faucets, towel racks, heaters are very outdated. Half of the patio lights did not work and either the deadbolt work and the door knob didn't or vice versa.

The property was mostly clean, but there was a lot of dog hair, on the furniture, and bed. The unit is actually two units connected by an outside stairwell, with the first floor unit consisting of a kitchen with no stove, an adult bedroom and a children’s bedroom with bunk beds. Our family did the cooking, eating, and gathering in the upstairs unit, but because of the configuration, we couldn’t put the five year old to bed by himself in the downstairs kid bedroom. There is no local or cable TV, just TVs for viewing videos. We asked for a late checkout, even an hour would have been great, but were denied. These vacation rentals are not only expensive but when check in is 4pm and checkout is 10am, you lose a whole day.

Good size house with a cozy feel. House seemed very clean upon arrival. A short walk to the beach and lots of outdoor living where you can hear the waves on the porch.

We had a wonderful time at Rockaway beach. This house was perfect for my family of 7 adults, plus room for a couple kiddos if we needed it. Kitchen was stocked so we could cook the whole time and everything was perfect for our weekend getaway!

House was comfy and fit 10 adults easily. Beds were not.

We paid for three nights at our Rockaway Beach rental. We arrived on the second day due to family illness, only to find there was NO HEAT, NO LIGHT. It had been so since our first paid day! The heat and light were on at 9pm when we returned from our search for light and heat that second night. It remained so for the duration of our stay.
It was uninhabitable until then. We were told there would be NO reimbursement, NO Future Credit. It wasn't their fault a storm came in and took down the transformer. Almost$900.00 paid to VACASA. Never again VACASA.
Is your 'business is business' policy worth this TERRIBLE REVIEW!!
Word will travel fast in my circles.

We just spent a week at Beach Drive Retreat. It is very close to the ocean and there are multiple paths to choose from depending where you want to end up. Loved the fenced backyard and the fire pit. Large deck to spend time on.

We checked in and lights outside do not work. Motion sensor on upper floor shuts off before you walk down stairs. Dry rot on entry caused family member to fall. Cleanliness appeared good on surface but once settled very dirty. All extra blankets covered in hair and smelled like wet dog. Wifi didn't work until we figure out vacasa gave us wrong information. Heater in bedroom didn't work. We paid for late check out but didn't use it because we were so disappointed. When we arrived garbage all over driveway as maybe an animal went through garbage can. We paid a lot in extra fees during off season to not receive the expected service. I kept pictures of everything as well. Please contact us directly in regards to this stay.

This was our family vacation and we enjoyed our stay. The close proximity to the beach was great! We loved the deck and had cocktails up there. One night we had a fire in the backyard fire pit. We plan to visit again next year.

The house was in a great location, right across the street from beach access. The split level house worked nicely for our double family vacation! No complaints from me!

Awesome Large Beach House-feels like you're staying at your best friends beach house!
We absolutely loved the charmingly decorated two story house with a loft. On the ground floor is a separate unit that worked wonderfully for our smaller family unit with their infant. While not completely soundproof the folks upstairs didn't hear the baby getting up during the night, crying, or fussing. This is HUGE and allowed the infant to sleep through the night and the parents to not worry so much! The upstairs could have accommodated many more than the four adults who stayed there. Kiddos would love the loft upstairs which has a convenient baby gate. The owners have each cupboard labeled with what is in it and have included MANY more amenities than any other beach house we've stayed in-and we've stayed in many. The kitchen was very complimentary to cooking and baking all of our meals during COVID, has spices, oil for baking and some very fun and nice bakeware. You can tell how much the owners care about guest experience and it felt like staying at your best friends beach house. Our compliments to whomever cleans the home and keeps it stocked as there were extra linens, soap, towels etc. Great leaving policies all they ask is that your wash your dishes and throw in a load of towels. VERY comfortable beds on the main floor!!! That's coming from all four of us older very sore backed folks!

Fabulous Beach Hide a Way
This updated home was a great place to stay. It was clean, inviting and within walking distance to the beach. The beds were comfortable and a bonus hose in the back to wash off sandy children

Great location and lots of space to hang out together or separately. The fire pit was great and loved having the fenced yard.

The Good: Interesting House, Nice Backyard, Lots of Toys, Games, Cookwear. Comfy beds. Great isolated location, Easy walk to beech. The Bad: When we arrived the trim on the kitchen window had been partially been torn off and stuffed in a cabinet. There was an outlet at child height with bare wires. These were fixed within 2 hours of reporting it.One of our dogs found a 1" piece of glass, but was caught before he swallowed it. There was mold in one of the rice cookers which had gone weeks without cleaning. The windows in the loft were unfinished with bare nail tips exposed. More cookware was found in the trash outside. Dog hair was everywhere and a single vacuum was able to get a bunch up, indicating that despite a $150 PER DOG fee, little effort was made to clean up (Or was the last dog such a shedding monster that another round of vacuuming was needed?). Various blinds had been torn down and stuffed under couches. The refrigerator downstairs doesn't actually keep anything cold and food was spoiled by us not understanding this. There was trim with nails sticking through it that was left on the floor, causing a kid to almost impale their foot. There are no interior stairs, so don't expect a kid to walk from the kids bedroom to the king bedroom without going outside. Rust all over grill grate. I'm unsure why that house was rented. There should not be bare wires exposed, portions of the window removed and the chance to catch yourself on nails in a rental house. The cleaning of the house was also far below Vacasa's Standards. It's likely a week of handyman work could put this house in great shape, but it was dangerous to my family when I stayed there and I will not rent this house again. That said, I have and will rent houses from Vacasa on this beach as it usually a lovely time.

What a great place to stay! My daughter celebrated her birthday and wanted to get away to the beach. We had another place selected in Lincoln City but unfortunately the wild fires forced the cancelation. Fortunately we were able to book this home on a Friday for a stay starting on Sunday!. A very short walking distance to the beach and everything we wanted for ourselves and her two dogs. One thing not mentioned on the information for this home was the back yard is fully enclosed so the dogs could be outside to play without having to be leashed. The community is quiet and really lovely for getting out for a stroll. I am already planning next years trip with Vacasa!

Family getaway
This is a great place for families. it has a nice little backyard and outdoor balcony, with a short walk to the beach it was very enjoyable. Parents will need to be careful though the stairs going to the top floor are not good for toddlers.

Great stay with big family
We had a lovely time at the house. We had 12 people total, with grandma, 7 grandkids, and 4 parents, and the two spaces made it very comfortable for all. Loved the big back yard and easy access to the beach across the street. The house is also located in a quiet part of Rockaway, which was perfect for our group. Would stay here again!

Nice, clean place close to beach access
This was a great place for kids. It was very tidy and well taken care of. We felt very comfortable and there were many thoughtful amenities included. Everyone said their beds were comfortable with plenty of nice pillows and extra bedding. The only small, minor complaint was there was some dog hair on the couches, but that’s to be expected in a dog friendly house. We loved having the beach access so close, and the fire pit in the back was fun also! We would definitely stay there again!

I loved how easy the beach was to get to for the kids. The weather was great which made the outdoor eating areas amazing.

Great Getaway
This house met the needs of our group. The separate living spaces worked well for our group and would work well for a group with kids. The loft was beautiful, but sometimes not usable on our trip because of how hot it became during the day. It was very clean, had plenty of space, great decks, and a wonderful fire pit outside.

Great beach trip
The house was great and our family had a wonderful vacation. The only downside was the bunk beds in the lower unit needed better mattresses We had 3 little girls sleeping in the bunk beds and twin bed. The twin had a great memory foam mattress but the bunk mattresses were hard and the girls could feel the metal frame. Fixing that would make the bedroom a great place for 3 kids

Rockaway Wedding
Caution when stepping out of the shower on the slick tile floors. This residence is like two units in one with separate entrances. We were in town for a destination wedding. Rockaway Beach is a quieter town than Cannon Beach or Seaside. Great beaches here!

I loved that the house was basically 2 seperate apartments. For 2 families, it worked perfectly.
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked but the whole place lacked cleanliness. The carpets/rugs and furniture were covered in pet hair. Overall nice place for 2 families or 1 very large family.

Easy, lots of beds
Loved the second floor of this beach retreat. Steps from the beach and a seperate floor home make it idyll for a two family vacation with pets. Plenty of cooking tools to eat everything at the house as well
