St. Croix, originally Santa Cruz, was discovered by Columbus on his second voyage to the New World. It is one of three U.S .Virgin Islands. You can get there with a U.S. Drivers License (No passport required) and use American currency. Called the "Wayward Virgin" St Croix is located 40 miles southwest of the island chain and is where Alexander Hamilton grew up.
Rarely visited by cruise ships, the island is peaceful and serene, while featuring top notch restaurants, shops, and recreational opportunities. St. C is 25 miles long and five miles wide with a tropical rainforest at one end and a desert at the other. Christiansted is one of the most quaint towns in the Caribbean, with its covered walk-ways, buildings, Fort and Governor's Palace all built with brick from Danish ships who carried brick for ballast on their way to the island for their cargo of rum. Buck Island, a National Park with beautiful beaches and fantastic coral reefs to snorkel and explore, can be seen from our balcony. Davis Bay is a worldwide destination for scuba divers who come to dive the Puerto Rican Trench and its black coral beauty.
The island has ruins of 150 windmills and great plantations, including Whim Greathouse Museum, open to the public. In addition to fine dining and great shops, St. Croix has a botanical garden, world class golf courses, a casino, kayaking, horseback riding, and body and wind surfing.
Home to Cruzan Rum -- voted the best rum in the world -- and Captain Morgan, you can visit their factories to see how rum is made and visit their tasting rooms! You can also take back 6 bottles of spirits duty-free as long as one of them is rum!
*NOTE: In addition to the vrbo cancel policy should you have to cancel we will be happy to offer you a re-booking up to a years time frame so you can reschedule your trip with no loss of revenue to you!

Had a fantastic trip. Condo matched precisely as advertised. The living spaces were adorable and comfortable. The condo had all the necessary amenities and some! With the close proximity to Foodtown, we truly had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Kitchen had all the necessary equipment for making meals. The bedroom was comfortable and the ability to crack the window to hear the waves while going to sleep was amazing. This condo is directly on the waterfront and we spent a lot of time with coffee and cocktails just relaxing on the patio. We even had a sting-ray come join us every morning fishing the waves right in front of the condo. The grounds were clean and the residents friendly. Took advantage of the pool a few times because the beach area is not really conducive for swimming. The location is also super convenient with fast access to Christiansetd restaurants, sites and bars.

We had a great stay at Roberta’s rest. The listing is accurate, this is an adorable place right on top of the water. It’s nice being on the second floor for the breezes and the view. You look right out over Buck Island, and have the most spectacular sunrises. The place could use a dusting but has everything that you could possibly want or need. We were missing some towels when we got there and very quickly got them - delivered by the cleaning crew. It was nice that basics were provided like dish soap and catsup and different things like that. The place was plenty big for two teens and two adults, and it was nice that we could use Netflix and whatever else we wanted entertainment wise. The pool area is very nice and the little beach area is cute out front. We really enjoyed walks on the beach, but as others have said, this is not a place for swimming. Totally enjoyed our stay!
4.7
Excellent location. Biggest disappointment was the lack of comfortable seating. Wicker furniture is generally uncomfortable unless it has thick cushions - these didn’t!
4.7
Condo meet all expectations. Had walking beach and good pool. Condo was well stocked and clean. Owner provided great information and everything we needed for our stay. Balcony offered great views and comfortable seating.
4.7
Great place. Location was great. We really enjoyed meeting the other folks in the condo complex, very friendly. I was a bit of a pain for the prop manager and owner with my questions but they were great and very patient.

We had several power outages which resulted in water supply issues. But in St. Croix, you learn to roll with the punches.
Otherwise, the Condo worked well for us. The beds were good. The kitchen worked well as we cooked numerous meals in the condo. The wooden chairs and table are bit old and needed some help. We ended up buying a floor fan (and leaving it there) as we needed more air circulation.
We loved our month of January in St. Croix. Would we stat in the same Condo? Probably…it worked great for us!

3 adults fit comfortably in this cute condo with a wonderful ocean view, walkable beach and nice pool for a week in mid December 2023.
Our 1st St Croix visit, we didn’t know about unrelenting gale force daily wind. Others at the pool said they’re called ‘Christmas winds’ arriving in Dec for winter - but they normally aren’t as bad as they were this Dec. Daily boat tours were canceled each morning due to rough waters.
A car is a must. Restaurants were delicious. No rain. Temps stayed within 6 degrees 24 hrs a day - ranging between 78 and 84 degrees. We enjoyed our week even tho we were literally “blown away”! We thank our host for the welcome gift waiting for us upon our arrival.
The week after we left - President Biden’s entourage arrived for their “Holiday” week - eating at same restaurants we had enjoyed like ‘Too Chez’ for example and played golf at the beautiful Buccaneer area of St Croix - where we’d also enjoyed spending lovely beach time.

What you see in the photos is truly what you get! Beautiful, peaceful, close to most everything you need. You need a GPS as some streets are hard to find. We would definitely stay here again.
4.7
We enjoyed the balcony over the ocean and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks was wonderful for sleeping. Friendly residents was great and their suggestions for the island was extremely helpful. A mellow quiet vacation was what we needed and we got all the rest we needed.
4.7
The property itself was nice, no complaints. We did find the North side of the island to be very windy while we were there. The condo has a beautiful view of the water and we were hoping to enjoy it from the balcony, but it was too windy to do that or to swim during our stay. The condo is nicely decorated and with all the windows we were able to watch the waves come rolling into shore and large ships heading in and out of Christiansted Harbor. There were many conveniences, like spices to cook with, and coolers that came in handy for our adventures. There were several little things that you don't think of ahead of time that were there for our conveniences, we really appreciated that.

This property is as listed. The property surrounding it was severely damaged and it looks like repairs have begun. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. It is on the water but the beach there is rocky and fairly rough, so I’m my opinion, not swimmable. My family was here to dive so we were really only on the property to sleep.
4.7
This place was perfect for our family. The kitchen was well stocked for when we ate at home, but the location was also great for proximity to lots of great restaurants and activities. We were excited to be right on the water, but unfortunately the beach wasn't great for playing in the water. The kids enjoyed the pool though.
4.7
The property was exactly what we expected and needed. We would recommend it to others and consider it for booking again for ourselves in the future.
4.7
Perfect for us. Close to Christiansted and the boardwalk. Easy access to everywhere on the island.

Great location! It’s right on the ocean so you’ll have to deal with lots of corrosion in the condo. The only down side is the master bedroom bed. It’s extremely firm but if you like a hard bed then it’s perfect. To us it was like sleeping on concrete but it’s manageable. Only negative side was the maintenance issues. The dishwasher was not working properly and we were not informed until they wanted to send a repair technician in, before that there was an exterminator that was scheduled. I feel those things can be schedule in between the condo being booked. Overall it was an amazing experience!

We spent a month here and it was wonderful. Condo is just as advertised and the owners were just a phone call away. Complex is small and friendly. Only a short ride into town. Enjoyed every minute of being there. The island is beautiful with many beaches and friendly people. We'll be back!!

We wanted to be oceanfront- can't get any closer than this! We wanted to walk the beach-right out your door down to the Palms! We wanted all the comforts of home; top line mattress and bedding; well stocked kitchen and baths, sunscreen, bug spray (didn't need) snorkel , beach gear, coolers, and more to list. we over packed; just need flip flops, beach hat and a chilling attitude. We even did laundry before our departure. Owner and Anne; property manager were incredible to work with..even setting up car rental...Not only will we be back...we'd love to own a piece of this paradise! Thank you!

Great place, has all the basics. The condo was exactly as presented in the listing. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the ocean right outside the unit, as pictured. The condo is very clean, comfortable, has lots of space and all the comforts of home. The only suggestion would be to provide beach chairs. We purchased chairs ourselves and left one for future guests. Otherwise, it was a perfect place. We enjoyed our stay in St. Croix. Thank you so much! Tanya Belinskaya Artiom Petrov

This was not the problem of the unit or unit's owner. We usually go to St. Martin and stay at the same place. We are on vacation as soon as we exit the jet. The French ambiance, the walkable/swimmable beaches, the food, and proximity to use are what we like. Covid restrictions precluded a trip to a foreign country. So, if we have the opportunity to go to the Caribbean again, it's St. Martin or nothing.

Great Choice!
Wonderful condo, right, and I mean right on the water as advertised. Great location near Christiansted and halfway between the east and west ends of the island. This is the second year in a row that we’ve rented this condo for two months each time. Both owner and property manager are very responsive and helpful. Very glad we returned and we highly recommend it!

Had one hiccup...but because of the communication with THE OWNER, VRBO, MAINTENANCE, HOUSEKEEPING...we were able to adjust and enjoy! It truely is a special spot on a special island! We thank the owner of the unit for his kindness and the care he gave us. We also want to thank the housekeeping crew. The hiccup went away and it was a fabulous time there spent!

I could live here
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was just our style... down-to-earth, casual, light, bright, airy. Felt like being a local for a week. Instructions were thorough and accurate. We needed assistance with a minor item and received help quickly, both from owner and management company. Loved the view and the rum cabinet. :) AC in master bedroom and all the fluffy towels were appreciated. The community pool is impeccable. Nice central location for first timers, and quick to Christiansted. Many thanks!

What a location and great property!!
We stayed at this property for 9 nights 2021/2022. I can not say enough great things about this property. First the location was fantastic, central to the island and easy to get places and great spots to walk/run. Second, it was well appointed with all that you need from towels, to beach gear and cooking necessities. As mentioned earlier, it is small but not uncomfortably so. Plenty of places to spread out. Third, it was clean and linens/beds comfortable. Lastly. the pool and property was clean, a little construction happening which didn't affect us and the beach area raked--not a good swimming beach but we knew that from prior reviews. Go to the other island spots for great beaches. The only small issues we had were that the windows were really hard to open and we had some wi-fi issues. Nothing that even made a dent in our stay. I really hope we are fortunate to come back to this spot someday!

This is a great place to stay for those who want a quiet experience and a continuous reminder that you are in the tropics and right by the ocean. Although the pace anywhere on the island is nice and slow, at the condo it slows even further and you can really get away from the rat race of life on the continent. The low waves are directly outside the balcony; we quickly got used to being lulled to sleep by the ocean, and the wind keeps the property cool and bug-free! We didn’t see a mosquito during our entire weeklong stay nor any other bugs for that matter.
The owners have an entire closet of towels for every purpose, the kitchen has everything you need for meal preparation, all of the appliances work just fine and there are some hilariously old board games and a newer Uno deck that has the very cruel edition of the “swap hands” card. Players beware.
We never did use the pool because the ocean was so inviting. We did walk down the beach to pretty Pelican Beach.
The property is an easy drive into Christiansted for groceries, etc but what we liked most was that we never had to go into town if we didn’t want to!
Do hang onto the front door when you open it as it opens into the wind and wants to get pulled away from you like a sail. The washers and dryers were highly serviceable. You have a designated parking spot right outside. There is a spigot to wash the sand from your feet and shoes right outside as well.
If you arrive by night and haven’t been here before, seriously consider picking up your rental car in the daylight. There are very few street signs and it’s dark though there are street lights. We got near the property with phone GPS but had to stop in at the Palms to get directions for the last 1/2 mile. Fortunately, the security guard there was a gem. Hoping the owners will rewrite the driving directions to include the Route numbers as these were the most consistent signs we saw.
Although there are signs everywhere on the island saying “stop crime,” we left passports, money and spare credit card in the condo and never had any trouble nor saw anything even remotely worrisome.
The property is accessed through a quiet residential neighborhood between Route 75 and the beach. We loved seeing the variety of roosters, hens and their chicks on the roadways and children playing in their yards with their dogs. An ideal picture of Caribbean life.
For the no-fuss traveler who prefers peace and seclusion, this place is ideal.

Perfect low key relaxation
Great for the family! My kids didn't want to come home. Its a small apartment but cozy and well stocked - snorkels, cool box, alcohol - specifically all those little things you need but wont buy for a short stay (spices, mayo, zip lock, foil, etc) which made it pleasant to cook occasionally. The complex pool was great and never busy - the local residents very friendly. The small sandy beach section was good for the young kids to play in for a change of scenery, just a shame that the sea right on your doorstep doesn't have sand but rocks. Didnt really matter though given all the beaches you have on offer across the island. Think we will be back again next year.
