Wonderful!

Peter was great. He took real good care of me. He helped me to get to all the places I wanted to/ needed to go! He was always on time (in fact, often early) He was very knowledgeable of the area and helped to make me feel welcomed, safe and at home! The accommodation itself was very basic, but very clean. It had electricity the whole time, so could charge my phone and use the fans to keep cool. They also have WiFi access! I am a solo traveller and felt very safe here. The property its self is in a very quiet area, just outside of the town centre… we walked in, it took about 15/20 mins, it’s about 20min/half hour drive to lots of the excursions & I didn’t find a tour company that would pick me up from here, but Peter made sure I got to where I needed to be. It’s very good value for money!

There were no other guests during my stay- but that obviously wasn’t the apartments fault! It was just a shame, I didn’t get to meet other people!

Little home outside of the center

You get your own little flat on a guarded property, clean structure, external shared gas stove available in case of power cuts, tips for activities with contact info provided in the flats (e.g. Chobe national park in Botswana, really worth it!).

Cold water and very low water pressure due to the government power cuts, no check and feedback from staff after requesting repairs to solve the water problems (the first day it was working even during power cut), no comfortable table to sit, internet not available in the beginning and slow at times.

Nice comfy accomodation

The accomodation is such a nice place. We got upgraded and had our own living room and kitchen. There was electricity and wifi out of solar panels. For cooking there was a gas stove outside. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were big. And we loved using the nice pool outside to cool down. Peter was very welcoming and we had a nice chat, his paintings are really good, something special!

Fantastic value for money!

The self-contained room was very clean and comfortable. The location is quiet. Free Wi-Fi and DSTV. Staff made every effort to me feel at home. I feel I got more than what I paid for. The place is being continuously improved but what is on offer now is worth more than they charge for.

Nothing much to talk about in terms of dislikes. The place is not 5 star, but they are aware of that and, are making improvements and charging accordingly. They are aware of any small improvements that need to be made that I may point out.

Okay so Peter the driver was grea and helped us massively. With advice and tips he even found a great and reasonable priced boat trip.

They said they gave a free shuttle service. But then I was charged for it. Although when I mentioned this to owner she did refund this. Also the double bed had a mosquito net but the singles didn't have a mosquito net

Good shower. Friendly staff.

The place is really grim, looks nothing like the photos. I didn't have a mosquito net, there's no wi-fi, the bed is really uncomfortable. The fridge is crazy loud, so you have to unplug it at night, then it leaks water everywhere.

Great stay with awesome staff!

Staff were wonderful, especially Evans the security guard and Peter. Very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and well-stocked. A great deal considering my stay had a full kitchen and dining room! Location is nicely out of town a bit so it is quiet and relaxing. I would definitely recommend!

Home from home

Ethel gave me lots of help before I even arrived in Livingstone. She was so helpful, which was reassuring for me as I was travelling alone. She answered all my queries and was willing to store items for me. She arranged pick up at the airport. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and I really felt at home. I was here for 5 nights, and the apartment was well set up, so I catered for myself easily and comfortably. Peter took me out to the villages and market, which was amazing. I saw a real slice of life in Livingstone, for which I am grateful. Butterfly Lodge became a real home from home, and I hope I get to come back one day.

Amazing time with great privacy

Perfect location! Staff and manager were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious ( kitchen area from where you can see tv) living room, a bedroom and spacious bathroom. Fully equipped with the pots, dishes, cutlery as well as wine opener. Amazing choice if you love privacy as well! Also the dog, Biscuit was friendly (very) and adorable.

Book the apartment rather than the double room

I booked the double room. It is very small and only has a fan. It was incredibly hot at night and had little sleep. The hosts moved me to an apartment for the second night which was much more comfortable with air con. 15 minute walk into town

Room was spacious with own kitchen. Hot water and good wifi. Lovey pool . Peter is fantastic was a great help.and support as was richmond the security and biscuit melted my heart ❤️

Otherwise the stay was good and the staff were helpful.

Breakfast is not provided as it is mostly self catering.

The internet connectivity was not very strong. There is no signage to show the location and it was difficult to find. Also on google map, the location is different from reality.

Peter was a good host and very helpful. the pool area was very nice and it was easy to have laundry done there.

it was hot when we were there and a swamp cooler or AC would have been greatly appreciated.

All round great stay especially in the self catering unit

Host, Peter was very friendly and helpful. The self-catering room had really good facilities and really great wifi speeds. Pool was amazing and they also have a really friendly dog. Self-catering unit was definitely worth the difference in price.

Minor thing but the wifi was capped but guests weren't informed causing us and others to update our devices and upload photos which caused the data to run out and some down time the next morning as they went to purchase more.

Great stay, firendly host and a good time

Very friendly Host and staff, clean and comfortable. Much less Mosquitos a bit up the hill and less heat than in town during the nighttime.
