We stayed here in 2020. The kids wanted to do it again and it did not disappoint. It's a comfortable quiet place to relax and just enjoy being together.

Overall, an enjoyable stay, but not impressed with the preparation of the property in advance of our stay. Patio furniture was not at all like in the listings - not set up, cushions were all in a closet, there were no lounge chairs or coffee table, most of the furniture was plastic, and there was no umbrella to provide shade on the very sunny patio. The interior of the grill was very rusted out and the grill brush was missing all of its bristles - we had to purchase one at the store.
Inside, there seems to have been an issue with the housekeeper as there were no paper towels, no dishwasher detergent, no laundry detergent, and no body wash in the showers. When I communicated this to the host the response was that the housekeeper was supposed to take care of that, but offered no solution - we ended up going to the grocery store to purchase these supplies.
The smoke alarm in the master bedroom was low on battery, and was beeping incessantly so we had to remove it from the ceiling and pull the battery.
Upon returning to the house one night to prepare dinner and enjoy the deck, there were landscapers performing maintenance on the property - at 5PM, which is kind of a strange time to be there and quite a nuisance.
We enjoyed our time here, but for the money, we will likely look for alternative accommodations should we return to Stretch Island.
Also, there were no checkout instructions on either the listing or posted in the house, so we did our best.

Nice place to stay but could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Has all the amenities for a fun getaway and the reservation / check in process was flawless.

There were a few little glitches but nothing major. one of us was a bit cold most of the time - might have had something to do with the gentle rain for 2 days. we slept well. the communication difficulty might have been a VRBO problem.

We enjoyed our stay, it was relaxing, quiet and serene. Property was clean and had all the essentials we needed. Loved being right on the water with views of Mount Rainier. Driveable distance to Seattle and Olympic National Park. Definitely enjoyed this autumn stay!

This lovely property was exactly as represented. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds comfortable. We really enjoyed the beautiful water view. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was beautiful and well-maintained! However, the deck is multiple levels iand is a trip hazard. Everyone tripped and fell at least once because of all the level changes. The owners would benefit to painting the different levels, different colors, or marking the level changes with tape.

This is a beautiful property and a cozy clean home everything was great, only 2 ideas I would say moving forward. It says no dogs allowed, either the actual home owners own dogs or someone brought them anyways because the two down stairs couches were covered in white dog hair, I'm a dog owner so I just lint rolled both couches and all was good, but someone with a allergy may not agree. Second the property does not have beach access like I thought. Still 5 stars great home, beautiful sunrise and a quiet peaceful spot.

Super clean, very cozy, beautiful area. Front door lock was a little fussy to deal with, but overall the place was awesome — definitely recommend.

If you read other reviews you will see flying colors. I think for 90% of vacationers it will easily be a 9 or 10.
For my parnter and I we enjoyed the stay overall, and the area and view are beautiful, no, stunning. But we independently felt the quality didn't meet our expectations, comparing this experience to other Vbro experiences.
Keep in mind we have very high standards/expectations so we are not representative of most people. For us, it felt outdated and no touch of personalization.
For example, there was no care/welcome package common for vacation rentals, and wifi was never communicated.
Patio furniture was not arranged or set up for our expensive stay, until a day later after we left the premises to enjoy the area, which makes us wonder if the NEST camera at the door is used to monitor departures and arrivals. If so, a little too cyber surveillance for our taste.
We would not stay there again unless accomedations were improved. Not for the generous price we paid.
These things are subjective.

We had a lovely relaxing time at this beautiful place. The views were spectacular and the house was lovely. We were a group of three adults and two children and the sleeping arrangement worked well. You do have to walk down the street a few houses to get to the stairs to the beach, which is very rocky. The water was lovely especially since it was so hot some days. Thanks for a great day!

This was the most quiet, peaceful place we’ve ever stayed. There was a pod of four orcas that swam by almost every day and eagles and deer also. The deck was incredible, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with with the host was excellent.

Lovely quiet setting
We stayed 4 nights at this water-view home. We had another couple join us for a couple nights. Loved walking the beach and exploring the area.
It was a rainy May but we got a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier one day when the clouds cleared.
The house is super-clean and has everything you need for your getaway. We used the wood stove every day which made it very cozy on those rainy days. The media loft was terrific and there was a whole bin of DVDs available.
We needed to reach the owner shortly after we arrived and they texted back immediately. Really appreciated being able to reach them if needed.
We wouldn't hesitate to return for a future stay.

Relaxing Island Getaway
This was our first trip to the PNW and we fell in love. July was the perfect time of year it seems as we just missed a hot spell and had perfect 70 degree temperatures to enjoy while gazing upon the beauty of the Case Inlet and surrounding area.
We were a bit surprised that more wildlife wasn't out and about, but perhaps the extreme heat the previous weeks did something to impact that. We did end up seeing a bald eagle and an otter, though.
For the price we found this property to be a great value! We would love to see the owner invest in some window coverings, newer sheets, and pillows. The sun comes up early (at least in the Summer) so it was nearly impossible to sleep in past 5:30am. The patio furniture was comfortable and we spent many, many hours watching the water. SO relaxing!
Overall we loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat! Be ready for a 1.5 - 2 hr. commute into Seattle if you're looking to see the city. It was also about an hour to Olympic National Park to go hiking, though there may be closer spots. We rented Kayak's right down the road at Fair Harbor Marina which was delightful, especially since we didn't have to go far! Even though there's a fair amount of driving (depending on your activities), the scenic views around every turn make it worth it! Thanks to Heather and Nick for hosting us!

Amazing PNW accomodations
We spent 5 days at this amazing property. The hosts thought of everything, from games and movies down to the binoculars we used to watch the seals play in the water in front of the house. Heather was extremely responsive to requests, and provided great recommendations for things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Incredible stay
We had an incredible 5-day stay with our friends. They had a 1.5 year old and we had our 8 month old, and the home was very accommodating for both. Comfortable home, incredible views (especially from the deck), and very quiet. We watched two eagles hunt for fish every day, and seals swam by when the sea was calm. As we walked down to the beach we were greeted by multiple friendly neighbors who were so kind to us. We also picked up oysters and clams from Tom Farmer Oyster Company per another guest’s review and they were amazing. We would love to stay again in the future. Highly recommend this place!

Exceptional Accommodations
What a wonderful getaway, in a beautiful setting, and with all the amenities. We were so pleased to have a girls' weekend getaway at this lovely home, where everything was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully appointed. The communication with the hosts could not have been better, and Stretch Island was the perfect destination for us -- not too far from home, but far enough to where you feel like you're away from it all. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Great house, even greater view
Me and my family had a great time staying here. We loved waking up to see the seals and sea lions frolicking in the water. Other critters we saw included porpoises, river otters and lots of birds. The neighbors were super friendly and welcoming. Heather was extremely responsive to any questions we had during our stay which I appreciated. I definitely would recommend this lovely house to any of our friends.

Stretch Island is magical
Spent Christmas holiday at this house. Our adult family of 5. The location is fantastic and the house is very comfortable. Great kitchen with all the amenities. We loved every minute on Stretch. Such a friendly island. Would love to come back someday.

We loved our weekend stay here. Nice, clean, fully stocked kitchen. The view is amazing. There were 10 seals that played out front the whole weekend and we loved watching them. There were binoculars to bird and seal watch and we loved it. The small beach close by is unique and we were the only ones there. We had a mix up with the wrong key code sent but the owners responded within a few minutes with the right info. It was also chilly the first night and not all of the baseboard heaters worked. It didn’t bother us as we stayed in the master bed which had a heater and the heater in the kitchen worked, plus we had a sunny weekend. But something we did note. Overall we had lots of fun and would recommend!

Relaxing getaway / amazing view
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property and hope to return soon. Very quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, and lots of nooks and crannies for reading a book or just soaking in the view. TV is on the second floor, no cable or satellite, but access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Wifi handled all our devices with no problems. Host was very friendly and responsive to our inquiries. Highly recommend. Thanks, Heather!
