This is our second visit to The River Place. The home is beautiful and has everything we need. Gathering places both inside and out are clean and spacious. Cathy is a great host and we look forward to booking again!

I’ve been looking at this property for a couple of years and usually wait too late to get a summer weekend! This year I booked early but still the weekends were pretty full! We had a 3 day family reunion with about 20 people. The set up of this house made it seem never too crowded. Having 2 fully stocked kitchens and 3 coffee pots was awesome! The way the bedrooms are situated there are 2 bedrooms with a bathroom in between. The large dining table on the deck and kitchen was great! We had Garrison’s pick us up for a float trip and we floated back to our private gravel bar! Loved everything about this property and hope to return soon! Also great communication with the host!

We go floating 2-3 times a year, mostly at the Niangua and Buffalo. However, this location, house, and river just became my favorite place to float. The private river access was amazing! The outfitter literally picked us up from the house and we floated right back to our house. The house itself is beautiful! It’s large enough for a big group and has several bathrooms available. It feels like a home that is being shared versus a rental, if that makes sense.

Great house, so clean! I loved everything about this house. The appliances were first rate. The beds were so comfortable, each one of my kids and daughter in laws raved about the mattress

We celebrated our 4oth wedding anniversary with a magical stay at The River Place with our four sons, their wives and our eight grandchildren. This amazing place could not have been more perfect for our group. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, and play. We loved hanging out at the river during the day and by the fire pit at night. It was the most relaxing family gathering we have ever had! I cannot say enough good things about The River Place!

Our family loved our stay! The house has a great set up for a large group. Secluded & quiet with easy access to the river. Convenient to drive a vehicle to the river or a short walk! No complaints from our group of 21, we all enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming!

Everything about this property is wonderful. The house more than met our expectations. So much room - so very inviting & very accommodating. Cathy, the owner, was very gracious & kind. We had a lovely bon fire one night, such a huge treat on a chilly night. We had plenty of table space to eat together & play board games on. The whole week was magical & we all will treasure memories that were made at the River Place.

I hosted a women's healing retreat at The River Place, and it. was. PERFECT. The property is beautiful, private, and so peaceful. Having the river just a short walk from the house was great, as was the giant fire pit--lots of spaces and places for people to explore, connect, and find peace. The house itself has an amazing layout with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so that no one felt crowded or cramped, while there were two large group gathering spaces for all of us to comfortably come together. Everything was spotless, easy to use, and very comfortable. Cathy, the property owner was so kind, accomodating, and responsive. Several of my guests have requested to return to this property for another retreat, and I am very excited to book again!

7-bedrooms plus a set of bunk beds were perfect for out three generation family. We prepared meals both inside and on the bbq grill - adequate room for multiple chefs. Accommodations, Meramec River, weather and personal gravel bar were welcomed by our family. The large fire ring provided togetherness, great conversations and awesome peacefulness. Would highly recommend acquiring this property for a family vacation.

Our group had a wonderful time at the River Place! There was plenty of room both inside and out for eating and hanging out. The outdoor space was great for all the kids to run around. This was the cleanest rental I've ever stayed in. Absolutely no complaints :)

We have stayed at this property for 5 years now! Love it! Will be going again. As we pulled out of the drive my 7 year old nephew asks “how many days until we go back to the river house?”

The best combined family vacation we’ve ever had! The amenities were perfect and your home is so well designed for large groups. The easy commute made it easy for all to attend. The River Place offers any age the ability to enjoy nature in so many ways. We had a hard time leaving the gravel bar and river each day. Wonderful memories made and we can not wait to return in 2024! Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

We knew within 3 minutes of walking in the door that we were going to make this an annual trip. House was incredible and property is even better than the pictures show. We had plenty of room for our group of 11 adults. We made great use of the awesome fire pit and you really can't put a price on the peace that came from the rockers on the back porch. The gravel bar was perfect and private. It's an easy enough walk but plan to drive down for coolers/chairs/canopies. Thanks for sharing your place with us, can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay. We were there for a work retreat. We are a church staff and it was a great place to get away. The accommodations are really great and there was plenty of room for everyone. We especially liked how well stocked the kitchens were as far as pots, pans, utensils, etc. We did some serious cooking and the kitchen was ready for us!

It was a great place for a family getaway. We had family in from out of town and we we’re looking for a place large enough to host our getaway. This was as amazing property. Everyone from the owner to the property manager were wonderful. A big thank you to them both.

Often a listing sounds better than the actual property. In this case we found the property exceed our expectations. It was a wonderful experience, we highly recommend this this listing!

This property is very clean, well stocked, and owner and manager were very responsive and helpful. Our group stayed for our yearly float trip and this is the nicest place we have ever stayed.
The weather was not cooperative but luckily we had lots of space to relax and enjoyed playing games on the deck and at the large table in the kitchen.
Already booked for next year!

We booked Cathy and Mark's cabin for a weekend float trip with a group of friends. The house is just as described. Great location next to the river with lots of amenities and games to use. The local rafting company will pick you up at the house and you can float down right to the property for no extra cost.
There were 10 adults and there was plenty of space to have more. The kitchen if fully stoked with all the necessary utensils and cookware. The communication with Cathy was great! We had an internet issue the first night and she worked directly with the provider to have it fixed by the next morning. We would definitely rent here again.

The house was awesome and accommodated all the guests extremely well. Everything was great! The location is amazing with great outdoor spaces and proximity to the river where we could float straight back to the house. Absolutely gorgeous property!

The river place is just like described and more! There were lots of thoughtful touches throughout. From having pack-n-plays and a high chairs for the littles to tubes for floating in the river. The access to the river was amazing and we even able to float a few minutes with the kids insight the full time! We had 22 people and plenty of room. We would all definitely stay again!

The first thing I noticed when we opened the door was the large table. Many of my grandsons are bigger than some of our adults. All 14 of us enjoyed sitting around one table for every meal. We don't usually get to sit together.
The top floor is very open and has a beautiful view. The house is very private. The first night around the fire pit, I noticed that there were 14 chairs-perfect. There were plenty of throws around the house for those who needed them.
We were blessed to have a grassy area on which to set up a badminton net. They provided a washers game which many watched from the chairs and porch swing on the covered patio. Cathy and Mark provide tubes to float on the river. We walked upstream many times and floated back down to the gravel bar. There was even enough sand for the boys to bury themselves. The outside hot/cold shower really helped keep the sand out of the house.
Cathy recommended Garrison's for a float trip. It was a lot of fun most of the time, but sometimes it was difficult to move downstream without a current. A canoe with paddles might have been a better choice.
The River Place is beautiful inside and out.

We could not have had a better visit! The house was perfect, providing ample space, and all amenities that we needed. Everyone had a fantastic time and can't wait to book again!

This was one of the most incredible properties we have ever stayed at. The host was very communicative before and during our stay. When we arrived, we were overwhelmed with not only the immaculate property but the extensive amenities of the property. They do not "cut any corners" or provide bare minimums. It felt as though they thought of everything and anything you may need or want during our stay. We are already planning a return trip this fall. The furniture and bedding were incredibly comfortable, which is generally the one complaint we find consistent among rental properties.

This place was amazing! We had everything we wanted. Great places to hang out up & down stairs. The big plus is the out side fire pit, large covered upper deck & lower gathering area’s. We all especially loved the walk or drive to the beach. With our large group the two kitchens to feed all. Loved our stay and we’ll definitely be back! Highly Recommend

We took our 16u girls softball team down for the weekend for our 2nd year in a row. It is a perfect set up with plenty of bedrooms for the team downstairs and room for parents upstairs. The place is always very clean and close to the river. It has a huge fire pit and plenty of room for us to workout and practice.

The River Place is located in a beautiful spot. All parts of the house were clean and like new. Check in and out were simple. Our group had a great time and would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful stay for our family and friends! The house was so comfortable and well equipped! Relaxing time floating and playing of the riverbank on the gravel bar. Could not have asked for more!!

Cathy & Mark are amazing communicators, and the property is stunning. Lots of space to spread out. We got to see some deer and some little frogs. You can't beat the view at night if you're lucky enough to see a thunderstorm! Also if you want to float Garrisons River Resort had amazing amenities and will pick you up, which is so convenient!

Accurate listing, easily accommodated out family of 20 of all ages (from one to 80 yrs old). Had everything we needed. Incredible place all around and super helpful hosts! I recommend packing a shade tent for use on the gravel bar in summer heat.

Cathy's property was nothing short of perfect. We were 4 generations, from 70+ to 4 months and everyone agreed that the property could not have been better. The upstairs kitchen had everything we needed to make meals for 20+ people. The beds were so comfortable and the house was spotlessly clean.
The river was a favorite, we took a shade shelter, lawn chairs and a few kayaks to enhance our time in the sun. We are already looking at suitable dates to return in the future.
