Quiet neighborhood and watching the wildlife was enjoyable. We used the grill a few times. Beautiful home with LOTS of space. Just need more plates and utensils. Loved the water pressure in the shower!

Our party of five adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 11 Chestnut Lane for four nights in June. It is a lovely house- very elegant , clean, and beautifully decorated. It had a very welcoming feel and we so enjoyed the deck with the view of Pinehurst Lake. We found the realty company very friendly and professional and all the arrangements and directions were perfect. We rented the house as an alternative to staying at a hotel and Iour experience exceeded our expectations.

Very, very beautiful well appointed home. Lots of extras that you don't normally get in a vacation rental. We enjoyed the large deck everyday, We were serenaded by a beautiful song bird who visited us every morning. The only thing I would like to see, that would have made our stay more comfortable, Is a queen sized bed in the 2nd bedroom. The double bed for a couple, is very uncomfortable. Thank you for providing a beautiful home for our visit with family. We will stay here again.

Our family of 5 stayed in this great home for the month of July. Everything was enjoyable upon first arrival! The roads into the neighborhood bring you by a golf course, many manicured lawns, the neighborhood inground pool, and Lake Pinehurst. The SPACIOUS one level home itself is very lovely, clean, neutral decor throughout with great floor plan for this large family. Each bedroom had it's own en suite meant no fighting over bathroom time, the master bedroom/bath was on one end of the house while the 2 additional bedrooms and baths were on the other end...great for parents and kids to have their own quiet retreat when needed. Our favorite rooms were the extra large kitchen overlooking the Carolina Room with 2 huge picture windows. On several occasions we were visited by grey Cranes, flocks of geese, a hawk, turtles, fish, we even had 2 deer meandering through the yard on several early evenings. It was quite delightful for the kids and parents to spy the wildlife. The home has many windows and skylights which meant bright and cheery! The whole atmosphere in and out was very calming, serene and peaceful. We settled in very quickly..it was really a home away from home and there was nothing we needed that wasn't already provided. Linda, the owner, was very communicative and fun to work with before during and after our stay. It seems like we knew her for years. We have already recommended this home to a family and will definitely return each year it is available. We took advantage of many activities nearby, shopping, quick dining and fine dining, the village, pools, fishing and "pontooning" on the lake, and visits to Fayetteville museums and army base, Durham baseball game, Myrtle Beach, indoor parachuting in Raeford, NC Zoo and the Aloha Zoo... there are a multitude of fun activities for the family and we even managed to enjoy some golf on several of the nearby courses!! We had lots of pool time and everyone on staff there was very friendly and accommodating. Needless to say, it was a trip we won't soon forget and having a clean, spacious, central a/c home to return to was paramount to our wonderful vacation! Thank you so much!

We rented this beautiful home while our seven year old grandson was playing in the US Kids world championship. The house was spotless and very well stocked. It was close to both the golf courses and shopping. The minor glitches we encountered were handled almost immediately and professionally by the local area rental agency. We will definitely consider staying here again next time we are in the area. Thank you Linda for such a restful place to come back to after the rounds of golf.

My wife and i stayed at this beautiful home right on Lake Pinehurst for three months from January 15 to April 15. According to locals it was the worst winter in some twenty years. Well, if this was worst winter it was still great. There is always a lot of sunshine in this part of North Carolina. Virtually every day you can do something outside from golfing, hiking, running, photography, etc. (I found a great route to run right around Lake Pinehurst).
1. The house is beautiful with great views of the Lake from the master bedroom, family room/kitchen, living room and another bedroom. The split floor plan is great for guests. We had two married children there spouses and two grand children for a visit. We had a great week with them. The house is fully furnished and it does not look or feel like a rental.
2. Linda, the owner, is very friendly and helped out whenever we asked about something. She is a great landlord.
3. If you love golf there are great courses and you can play very inexpensively during this time of year. You can book tee times on golfnow.com for as little as $16 for 18 holes including cart. Two golf course Foxfire and Whispering Pines with 72 holes between them have $25 green fees with cart all year if you buy one of their cards, which in effect is free. Just call either course and ask for their card.
4. My wife took quilting courses at Linderellas Quilting shop in Southern Pines.
5. We went to the Roosters Wife Club in Aberdeen on Sunday nights to listen to outstanding Bluegrass/Country musicians from all over the US for $15 to $20 admission.
6. There is great shopping nearby from outlet stores to big box stores. Fabulous restaurants, art galleries, pottery, etc.are all nearby.
It is a charming place to visit and staying in such a beautiful home in this wonderful setting just makes being here that much more special. We have already booked for next year. We can't wait to get back there.

Our son was relocating to the Pinehurst area and we needed a large enough place too accommodate our families comfortably. Well this house was a gem. Very spacious, three nice size bedrooms with their own full baths. Very convenient. Everyone had their own space. Fully equipped kitchen and outdoor gas grill made feeding the family a pleasant experience. The house was very clean the outside well maintained with a beautiful view overlooking the lake.It was so nice to return to this home in the evening after a full day of moving furniture and unpacking.
Would I rent the place again , Absolutely and It scores 5 stars .

My daughter and I fell in love. The house was beautiful and it felt like home instead of a vacation rental. We brought sheets and towels and other stuff that was unneccesary because Linda provided everything. There wasn't anything left out. She was so accomodating and thoughtful. I have told everyone about this home and I will definitely stay there again.

The house felt just like home. It was very nice and clean. looks small from the outside but once you open the door its big. Everything was like it was set up for everyday living. The owner called as soon as i inquired about the house. i hope to rent this house again next year or other future trips i may take to that area. The only bad part about my trip was we couldnt stay longer.

My 4 sisters and I were looking for a quiet, peaceful place to relax and spend our annual week long retreat. We found it here! The house is fantastic. It is large enough so that we had own quiet time when we needed it and cozy enough to gather together to visit and reminisce. We enjoyed spending time on the back deck to watch the wildlife which includes a large blue heron, geese, frogs, turtles, and even a red fox visited at dusk. The owner was so accommodating and very quick to take care of the minor issue with the internet service. The cost is very reasonable too considering all that is provided. All in all we had a great trip that passed all too fast. Hopefully we can spend another vacation there in the future. I have already and will again recommend this rental to my friends. Thank you so much, Linda, for your hospitality.

Arriving from Canada to escape the cold and dreariness of February, this house immediately felt like home. When we walked into the Carolina room overlooking Lake Pinehurst, a blue heron was standing on the lawn in front of our window. We were hooked! The temperature couldn't have been finer for the month that we were there. The house was very comfortable, light-filled and spacious. The kitchen is well-equipped and open to the multi-windowed Carolina room. There is a huge, private deck overlooking the lake; a wonderful spot to take in the sunsets over the lake. The master bedroom and bath are very spacious. As there were only the 2 of us, we almost never entered the other wing equipped with two more bedrooms and baths. Although this house is not situated within walking distance from the village, the area of Lake Pinehurst is very beautiful and a lovely place to walk.
The owners were so nice and very easy to work with.
I highly recommend this property and hope to rent it again in the future.
