My best experience was my interaction with the employees, their service was exceptional. The patience and understanding is just on another level. I will come again.
Do I have anything to complain about!! Nooo.

Loved the breakfast, it set us up perfectly for a long Journey
Was happy with everything

The breakfast was supposed to start at 6am but even at 6:45 there was nothing available except some cereal and tea. The staff was very helpful.
The whole place flooded as soon as it rained. It was further out of town than I had realized (it wasn't that far but it was up a steep hill)

Loved. The reception by Rosemary and Mark
All was Great
Enjoyed every bit

It is on a hill above the main part of Migori and while it was a steep walk up, it wasn't too far (I walked up carrying my heavy backpack and another bag). It also only cost Ksh 50 for a piki piki ride up the hill. Although there were some very loud people at the bar near my room, it did quiet down around 10pm so that wasn't too bad. The outdoor seating areas were nice. The water pressure was pretty good, which you can't count on in Kenya, but the hot water didn't really get more than lukewarm.
Their booking.com page talks about how great the WiFi is but the WiFi didn't even work in my room unless the door was open and I was sitting right in the door so I spent all my time in reception where there was WiFi but also a lot of mosquitos because it was sunset and they left the front door open most of the time after the rain.
Getting to my room in the rain was a mess. One of the paths I had to walk was flooded and had no protection from the rain.
I was told the breakfast started at 6am and finished at 11am or something. On the first day I arrived on the late side, around 10am, and there were supplies to cook eggs but no one to cook them and they were out of most of the other foods (there was fruit, cold cereal, hot beverages, and some plantains). The next day I had an early bus to catch so I went at 6:15am and they still hadn't opened up the room for breakfast. I went back at 6:25am and it was "open" but all that was available was fruit, cold cereal without milk, and hot beverages.

The staff is welcoming and patient with providing directions to the hotel for first time travelers.
Any concern are also promptly addressed.
The showers did not work well.
Breakfast options do not favor vegetarian options.

Friendly staff, clean spacious room, great breakfast.

The rooms are really spacious and well furnished...the ambience was great
Poor wifi connection in some areas
3.8
Quality and friendliness of service. Well maintained and clean facilities including a nice swimming pool and a garden. Nice rooms. Near the center, but far enough for silence and clean air. Also very fair prices both for accomodation and for food.
We liked everything.

Convenient location

Very comfortable great staff
Location they should put good signs to show directions
3.8
Staff friendly and tried but the owners need to spend a bit more time on maintenance.
Beer was available!
No decent showers. Instant shower was very low pressure and either scalding or cold. Told those with solar shower weren't working. Pics showed Jnr suite with a bath but badly hung shower. After trying to find another shower with no luck the food we'd ordered was cold and not prepared as requested directly with the chef.
4 buildings looking into one another... Carefully taken photos showed a much more open space which was essentially the pool area.
It's very hot and you have to open windows and despite the mosquito net which we tried to hang back on properly we were attacked all night. No bug spray either.

Cleanliness
3.8
The staff led by Manager Bwana Mark and Supervisor Miss Elizabeth were excellently immaculate in handling all issues I raised. The Front Office Manager, Afflyn was excellent in her job, always smiling and willing to go an extra mile to make my stay comfortable. The Waiters and Waitresses (Rosemary, Sheila, etc) were excellent in taking orders and excellently serving our meals. The rooms are very clean, spacious with neatly done bed, clean bedding and provision of toiletries were all excellent. The service was excellent. The mix of staff from different tribes was a real plus for me, ensuring and reflecting the face of Kenya. That was really good Bwana Mark, Madam Beatrice Peru. Keep it up!
There are some rooms with weak wifi connection. Otherwise everything else was done excellently well. A big thank you to Manager Mark who realized that I had challenge with access to internet and took me to a room which had an excellent connection and ended up conducting my online meetings superbly, and enhancing my stay. Thanks to supervisor who was always willing to go out of her way to ensure that I was comfortable and all concerns amicably addressed. I will be coming back soon!
