About this cabin rental
No need to journey through the wardrobe to find this magical destination! Start right at the lamp post and walk directly into this 1929 original Green Mountain Falls, CO vacation cabin, elevation 7800 feet! Enjoy the fresh mountain air from the front deck tucked back from the road and amidst the pines and aspen trees. Narnia Cabin is right on the road that leads directly up to the waterfalls or if you want -- keep hiking right up to Pikes Peak! For those who simply want to enjoy a lazy day, you can sit back and relax on the front deck rocking chairs and enjoy an unimpeded view of nature at its finest!
You are within minutes of Pikes Peak Highway, the North Pole Theme Park or continue east down Ute Pass to Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, and the Garden of the Gods. To the West, you are minutes away from Woodland Park, Mueller State Park, 11 Mile State Park, or head west to visit the historic gold mining towns of Victor and Cripple Creek!
Narnia on Pikes Peak has been designed to be a creative artist’s paradise from the moment you walk in the front door to the glassed-in front porch, complete with its’ own pellet stove, futon, game or crafter’s table and chairs. Here you will find a collection of outdoor games to enjoy in the yard — an additional full lot that extends to the west of the cabin.
Step through the original interior door into the living room where you are greeted by the beautiful stone fireplace (updated with a gas insert) and a comfy leather couch to sink into. All of the woodwork dates back from the cabin’s 1929 beginnings. Coffee table books give you a look into the region and the world of C. S. Lewis. Yes, The Chronicles of Narnia are there, too!
(Pssst. You will find year round decorations as Christmas has come to Narnia. Look about for not-so-hidden references to the Chronicles)
The master bedroom (downstairs) features a queen sized Casper™ Mattress, 600 count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a comfy duvet. There is a vintage bathroom across the hall — with the restored original clawfoot tub (complete with rubber duck) and a refinished vintage sink. Don’t fear — the commode is new!
The upstairs attic bedroom/study is just like an adventure into yesteryear with creaky bookend steps included! Situated in the tree tops and lit by a skylight, this is a space with coves — one that holds a full-sized Casper™ Mattress, also covered in fine cotton sheets (or flannels if you wish) and a comfy duvet; another cove houses a real library desk for the writer; another cove holds two comfy chairs where you can enjoy a cuppa, and the 4th cove has a small dresser and the all important tea tray.
The newly remodeled kitchen is well stocked to appeal to all varieties of cooks — complete with full-sized refrigerator, electric oven, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, and electric tea pot. Tea and coffee always provided.
A new gas fireplace sits table side to keep everyone warm and cosy.
The back bathroom is in a small rebuilt addition where you can find the oversized shower, washer and dryer, and a cabinet filled with extra large Turkish bath towels!
The stone patio at the rear of the cabin has a gas grill and a fire pit we hope you will enjoy for those family gathering times.
The owners are affiliated with the C. S. Lewis Foundation and as such, have filled the upstairs shelves with a wide variety of books — Lewis, Tolkien, as well as a wide variety of current literature.
Although Lewis himself was not a fan of television, we provided and TV and DVD player for watching movies at the end of a long day. We have a small collection of classics and family friendly videos. We have provided an HDMI cable to connect your portable devices should would wish to bring them. There is high speed internet — so bring your iPad and enjoy.
It is our hope that you will be inspired by your time at Narnia on Pikes Peak to connect, create, and converse with the beauty that surrounds us!

We’ve stayed at about 100 rental homes in the past 16 years and this was by far the best experience. If this home is available for your dates - Book it. You will mot be disappointed.

My expectations were high and they were exceeded. Beautiful location, amazing home (renewed my love of C.S. Lewis), lovely hosts. We will be back! Laura

We had an amazing stay at Narnia. Everything is well thought out with clear instructions. Even though it's in a neighborhood, had a nice private feel with all the trees. My kids devoured several books during our stay. Great location, close proximity to a great trail.

This was a great theme for a cabin. Great location easy access to lots of things to do and see in the Pike's Peak area. Very comfortable bed. Only negative comments we had was too small TV which we didn't even turn on and since it was unusually hot AC would have been nice. We were afraid to leave windows open because potential bear entry (probably just a phobia for us). Thanks for the 3 night stay.

Magical, quaint, immaculate, comfortable, cozy… just a few words to describe our stay at Narnia on Pikes Peak. The hosts were welcoming and communicative. My bookworm tween daughter adored the “Spare Oom” upstairs, and if you or your littles are fans of the Chronicles of Narnia you will be utterly delighted by the details here. Even if you are not, around every corner you will find thoughtful touches intended to make your stay convenient and relaxing. The wildlife just adds to the experience — bears, chipmunks, hummingbirds, deer, foxes — so much fun to see! I could go on and on. I truly hope we get to return!

We celebrated our grandson’s 14th birthday. All of us are C S Lewis fans, and the Narnia cabin was perfect for us. Loved the fanciful decoration, the generous kitchen supplies and the complete documentation/instruction. Host communication was excellent. Highly recommend for 2 adults and a teenager!

The cabin was everything we could dream of and then some. Well stocked with bathroom and kitchen items that you may overlook. Beautiful views all around. The hosts were amazing and ready to be of assistance and willing to give information about the area and activities. We will definately return!

Great cabin with picturesque views. Celebrated thanksgiving with the family. Had everything we needed to cook a nice meal and enjoy a nice quiet evening. Had a few surprise guests (deer) show up in the morning to greet our day. In all a definite great place to stay!

Not only was this 1920’s log cabin tastefully and artfully decorated for the winter season but an early snowfall blanketed the hillside. My mom and I had the best time!!

The Narnia house exceeded all expectations. It was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Great location to enjoy local restaurants and attractions as well as close to all the greater regional area has to offer. Hillevi and Derry are very responsive and honestly care about their guests having a perfect stay. Thank you again !

We stayed 4 nights and really loved the cabin. The cabin has everything plus that you ever think you might need. The owner has all the attractions in a very large information book. The Nardia theme is taken to the extreme and you never stop finding special items. Great back and front patio/sun room!

Our stay was great at Narnia, we had everything we needed and the place is wonderful. We saw deer and a fox while there. We loved the Pantry there at Green Mountain Falls for breakfast. The walk up the road to the waterfall was beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us.

The house was even better than it was described. Every detail was handled, they are incredible hosts. We loved the town and trails right outside the back door.

Our family had a wonderful stay in Narnia. When we entered the cabin, I was overwhelmed by the beauty within the home, as well the warmth and peace. Derry and Hillevi have thought of every detail to make their guests feel at home. Bathrooms were clean and had little extras that one might forget to pack, beautiful tub, lavender bath salts and even a rubber duck. The kitchen was well stocked with Earl Grey tea, my favorite, hot water kettle that showed the water temperature, utensils, spices and cutlery. All small appliances, cookware, oven and kitchen were so clean. The beds were very comfortable and linens were soft. Plenty of beautiful blankets and pillows were provided. Even the lamps on nightstands were a work of art as well as framed prints and antique furniture. The red leather sofa was very comfortable and inviting to curl up under a blanket and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace while enjoying a cup of tea. Our daughter felt very special staying upstairs which was complete with a sitting area, bookshelves with many of our favorite titles and some new ones that we would love to read. The diffuser was such a nice touch. Outside there is a propane grill where our son grilled steaks for us one night. Our entire family enjoyed sitting outside on the front and back porch in the morning and afternoon. Some were reading and having time for contemplation and introspection. Some had a cup of tea, some watching birds and chipmunks. I highly recommend a stay at Narnia!

Loved the character of the home. Was perfect for a little get away. Comfy, cozy, and unique in every way. Had all that you needed from coffee beans/coffee grinder, spices galore, pots/pans you name it. Each room also had its own unique charm. Had a few furry friends come visit; a raccoon, a deer and some pretty birds during our stay. Was a great get away spot, close to what you needed yet secluded for a wonderful place to unwind. Owner was nice and responsive too. Would recommend 👍

Absolutely loved our stay … incredible cabin home where every detail is addressed. First, the cabin itself is stunning and the 3 fireplaces amazing but it’s attention to the little stuff that makes the difference … like separate small glass jars for your toothpaste and tooth brushes in the bath room and a flashlight in the basket at the end of the bed … also notes are placed everywhere to answer questions before you think to ask the question. The morning coffee was delicious and the York peppermint paddies were dessert one evening after a long day hiking. The furnishing are simply beautiful. Movies to watch and games to play (Scrabble one night after dinner) were a perfect way to relax and unwind. Also, best shower ever (even if it was short to save water). A wonderful stay at a magnificent cabin … thanks Hillevi and Derry!

Beautiful, secluded cabin in a quiet neighborhood, filled with delightful touches throughout. I cannot overemphasize how amazingly well done this cabin is - from the well stocked kitchen, to the wonderfully cozy rooms, to the indoor/outdoor games - every little detail has been carefully thought about and provided in advance. Thank you for the magical stay!

We can not fully explain how amazing this place was. Before we even arrived our host was extremely helpful and communicative. We dealt with flight issues on our honeymoon and they were so helpful.
Once we arrived the place blew our minds. The pictures are great, but the reality is even better. There is so much attention to detail and each room was a discovery of joy. This is the best stocked place we've ever stayed at. From games to movies to kitchen amenities and the bathroom this truly was a home away from home.
Magical, charming, life-giving and inspiring. This is the kind of place you'll want to return to again and again with family and friends.

The cabin was exactly as listed - cute, homey, and very clean. We loved everything about it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet spot to stay. Location was convenient and not hard to find, but away from the hustle and bustle.

If I could I would give it 6 stars. Wow, everything and more anyone need is provided. Super quiet, hiking out the front door. Thank you for letting us use your Cabin. Will be back for next year's parents weekend.

Narnia on Pikes Peak was a perfect place for a getaway. The decor and touches are all magical and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Beautiful area and cabin

This was one of the most enchanting cottages where we've ever had the privilege of staying. No detail was overlooked! Coffee by the fireplace in the morning and cocktails on the front porch in the evening! Absolutely wonderful.
The only drawback, which I hesitate to mention because everything was so perfect otherwise, was the location. We expected a bit more seclusion. There are other cabins very close to you and mountain views are obscured by powerlines. BUT DO NOT LET THIS STOP YOU FROM STAYING IN THIS ADORABLE CABIN!

Magical getaway
Narnia on Pikes Peak was everything we could have hoped for and more! Great location, plenty of amenities, clean, very pleasant experience! The property owners are amazing, and the guide book at the cabin gave tons of tips for things to do! It truly was a magical place!

Delightful and charming
The cottage was delightfully charming and every detail was considered to make our stay comfortable and perfect. Of all the VRBO homes I’ve stayed , this one was the most thoughtfully appointed kitchen. The location was so quiet and peaceful and perfect for anyone wanting to take advantage of the local hiking and other outdoor activities. We would recommend Narnia.

Another Great Stay in Narnia
This is our second year in a row staying at this wonderful cabin. As with our previous visit the cabin met our needs and provider a great home base to local and regional activities.

Summer family vacation
My husband and I and our two adult boys visited the Colorado Springs area when the boys were younger and we wanted to revisit the area. Wow! We found the perfect cabin in Green Mountain Falls and the perfect renters! The cabin is absolutely beautiful! Derry and Hillevi thought of everything you could possibly need. The cabin is close to all the things we wanted to do and the wildlife at the cabin was amazing, from deer to foxes to even a black bear! Thanks for some more wonderful memories made at your whimsical cabin! The Schultz’s.

Whimsical cozy - bring your robe and slippers!
Perfect place for me + 2 kiddos (17yo / 8yo) Our big priority: Comfy beds. Check. Even my son, who stayed in the front room on the futon, said his bed was comfortable and enjoyed his room which had great views and TV. My daughter stayed in the room upstairs which she named the "magical room" and LOVED all the fun decorations, books and closet to explore with dress up clothes.
You can really sense the care and thoughtfulness that the owners put into their whimsical design and anticipating the guests' needs. Everything is covered! Hair dryer, blankets, soap, shampoo, picnic basket, flashlight, coffee, games etc. So my advice is to save the room in the luggage - instead of packing toiletries, pack your robe and slippers because the cozy cabin combined with cool mornings just begs for a cup of coffee watching wildlife from the porch rocking chair in a big fluffy robe. Or curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book (plenty of those at the cabin!)
Our big regret is not booking more time here! It was a much needed refuge after camping and long day on pikes peak. All 3 of us gave this cabin a 10/10.
*This is the son hijacking the review, futon was super comfortable including the blankets, made it really cozy. Only one note though, anyone above 6 foot should not consider the futon otherwise super comfortable.*

Peaceful and Beautiful
This cabin is in a very quiet little mountain town. It's probably best to have 4-wheel-drive since the street and driveway are fairly steep. It almost feels like you're secluded in the woods. The cabin is beautifully decorated in a Narnia theme and almost everything you could need is provided. Our only complaint was a perfume-like scent that bothered two of our family members with allergies. We opened windows as much as we could. Overall we were extremely pleased with our choice to stay in Narnia at Pikes Peak.
