This outstanding stone-built detached cottage can be found in a quiet location surrounded by glorious countryside. Located between the bohemian and artsy market town of Hebden Bridge and the wonderfully preserved village of Heptonstall, the surrounding views are simply stunning. Nestled in the grounds of the owner’s home, this property has a wonderful mix of contemporary and traditional style and is enhanced further by the generously sized outdoor space, which catches the sun well into the evening.
Varied walks can be enjoyed direct from the door, with the surrounding countryside adjoining the 400 acre estate of National Trust’s Hardcastle Crags. The beautiful wooded valleys with ravines, streams and waterfalls are rich in wildlife and contain over 25 miles of footpaths. There are also links to both the Pennine Way and Calderdale Way providing simply endless opportunities.
Further afield, guests will find that this holiday property is ideally positioned between both the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, and a scenic drive can take you to Haworth’s Brontë Country, or visit where the TV series, ‘Last of the Summer Wine’, was filmed. Hebden Bridge itself has plenty of bars and restaurants, and even a famous old cinema where tea and cakes are served in the interval. Heptonstall is believed to be one of West Yorkshire’s best kept secrets, having a main street which has reportedly changed very little in the last 200 years, or you can just choose to relax in front of the gas fire wood burner style, in what is a truly outstanding holiday home.
