About this cabin rental
** PROMOTION: For September - November "stay's only" Book Friday and Saturday and add one day free when available. Book a non weekend i.e. Monday-Tuesday and add one none weekend day for free when available. Not available for partial weekends, holiday weekends or Leavenworth event weekends (Octoberfest, film festival, etc.). At owner discretion. For new bookings only, not bookings already made (we are trying to fill some open spots on the calendar) Must be requested at time of booking. You'd book two days and I'd add the third day manually, if and when available. Adding the free night must still be available for me to be able to add it.
Beautiful spot, next to Lake Wenatchee State Park, across the street from the lake with amazing views. Hot tub, large flat screen, brand new furnishings in many rooms, brand new bedding, completely remodeled recently, large deck for enjoying the views and nature and for peaceful conversation and cocktails. My guests love this property!
The house itself is laid out very well. The pictures speak for themselves. This is essentially a four-bedroom home, 2 bedrooms upstairs and two dowstairs with an accessory room that has two bunk beds (four twin beds) in it. We converted a downstairs living area into a space that has two built in beds (Queen and twin, works great for a couple with a youngster) and a foosball table.
There are two bathrooms, one up and one down. We have a great kitchen space that has most items you'd expect to find in the average home. The property has a beautiful gas pot belly stove in the living room and a hot tub outside on the lower deck.
The views from the living room are simply stunning. We have high speed internet and a Roku Smart TV so don't forget your Netflix, Hulu (Hulu is identical to basic cable) or Amazon Prime membership. This truly is one of my favorite spots on the planet. We welcome you to enjoy both the state park which is just around the corner and the hidden lake hike trail that is at the end of Cedar Brae road.
Please be sure to reach out to us prior to your stay to get the door code which we change at will.
Great neighborhood filled with weekend homes, full time residents and other vacation rental properties. Wooded, water views, rustic, gorgeous and ready to be played in.
Please read our welcome letter and contract prior to your arrival for property specific instructions as it pertains to new County regulations, our neighborhood and our property.
New county regulations for vacation rentals include:
Noise restrictions - 75 dbs daytime, quiet time after 10 pm.
Housing cap restrictions - 2 people per bedroom plus 2
Vehicle restrictions - 1 car per bedroom plus 1
Etc.
It's pretty easy to keep the county happy we just have to be a tad more cognizant. :)
Side notes: We charge a lower base rate and then extra guest fees so we don't have to merely have one much higher rate. Smaller parties use less supplies, provide less wear and tear and create quicker cleans for our cleaners. In an effort to be able to cater to smaller parties we have structured our pricing this way and we've been doing our pricing this way since 2007. We really just want to be clear on this.
Important: This is a winter "adventure" cabin. We say this because this property is up a 200-250 yard driveway on a 20+ degree grade that gets very icy in the winter (it's fine in the late spring, summer and fall of course). Most vehicles being driven by the average winter driver do not do well attempting to get up the hill and do even worse trying to get down the hill. As a result we just spent $40,000 building a massive covered staircase from the lower parking area to the upper driveway and the cabin itself (please see pics of the new steps). As a result, voila, the stairs. This keeps our guests safe and the cars safe and keeps things low maintenance for us, but at quite an upfront cost and well worth it. Be prepared to park below and walk up and down. I've timed the walk up. It takes less than 2 minutes. If you walk two steps at a time it's only 37 steps. :)
Taking that into consideration, pack in backpacks if you are able to, be cognizant of your guest list. Those steps can be difficult for the elderly and the infirm, please do not book this property if you are planning on bringing anyone who cannot go up and down the stairs as many times as they would need to to come and go and see the sights and so forth. Also be ready to move your rig when the plow man comes to plow the lower parking area.
Once you get up to that cabin and see that view you will be so happy you booked this property in the winter, it's stunning. It's gorgeous inside and out not to mention the view!
During the winter we highly suggest that guests bring a four wheel drive vehicle with snow tires (or at least have chains in the trunk) . You will not be able to navigate Leavenworth or our driveway without these essentials. It can easily snow a foot or two overnight and our plow guy sometimes doesn't get to the house until the afternoon or evening. This could put you in a bad spot on check out day. Even a four wheel drive with one or two year old tires can get you stuck (I've been there!).
The lower parking area only holds 3 cars. So in the winter please bring 3 cars, if you bring more you may have to shuttle in but we do have to have the driveway left fully open for our neighbors.
As a final note, the county restricts this house to a max of 10 persons, 2 pets and four to five cars (but we again can only fit 3 in the winter). Because of this we have to have a deterrent to unannounced or unpaid for humans, pets or cars. As a result any unannounced or unpaid for persons, pets or over the limit vehicles are charged at $100 dollars per night. Also if we come upon the property and notice unannounced vehicles or people the county in conjunction with code enforcement demands that we move towards eviction and we never, ever want to have to do that (like never, ever). So please when booking ensure that all adults, children, babies and pets are listed while booking and before paying. We thank you so much!

10 of us moms decided to do a weekend getaway to Leavenworth. The house was a perfect size for all of us and slept us all comfortably. Kelly was very easy to get a hold of and when we ran out of toilet paper and garbage bags, he didn't hesitate to supply us with more! The views were great and we were pleasantly surprised with how close we were to the state park and ziplining. The only thing I'll warn folks about is the mosquitos. There was a citronella candle on site and we brought bug spray but they were still ruthless, even just walking out to your vehicle. We wish we could have hung out on the deck a little more, but that's ok! Overall, a wonderful place to gather.

Very nice upstairs with a great balcony. Downstairs is pretty basic.

We stayed here with some friends (4 adults 5 young kids) as well as our little furry friends. Check-in was simple & odd as I had to message the owner for instructions the night before. Once we arrived, we noticed the house had some quirks.
The main door is in the basement, which enters through 2 bedrooms. There is another door on the top floor but is more of a side door. Most doors have odd handles/locks that don't always easily lock. The water pressure had a delay (likely because the house is on a well).
The house was big enough that the kids stayed downstairs. It gets cold in the evening (May) but they provide space heaters. There's also a bonus small rock climbing wall and a foosball table downstairs. The hot tub outside was also a nice bonus.
The kitchen upstairs was decent enough for cooking but there weren't many measuring tools for cooking/baking. The patio deck was fabolous with a view of the lake & a gas grill. Both main rooms were king size and were cozy.
Lastly, there are signs all over the house about the various rules, noise ordinance, etc. there's even a tip box for housekeeping. This was a bit of a turn off and made you enjoy the rental less. There's also a security camera pointing to the driveway and a ring doorbell downstairs near the hot tub. That wasn't mentioned in the listing and made us uncomfortable. Overall, not sure we'd return to this rental.

This cabin was fun. Clean with ample room for the family to spend time together, a great view of the lake, plenty enough beds and indoor activities and a quiet road leading to Lake Wenatchee.

Flexible scheduling and contact with owner. Property was setup great for the location.

You brought our adult kids and one grandkid for our 29th Anniversary. It was a beautiful place with plenty of room for all of us. The stairs were a little challenging packing stuff up but worth it. View is beautiful. Would love to stay again.

We loved this house!! The views are wonderful, the house is well equipped and super cozy. It’s a matter of minutes from the State park, which was so nice for the beach, playground and walking on the trails (even in October, still super nice). Hiked to Hidden Lake from the trail head at the end of the road. They had more beds than we needed but you could definitely fit a lot of folks in here and still be comfortable. The entry driveway is as steep and she says so be prepared. We made it in our rental minivan but I can see how in winter months that’s challenging - they’ve built a very nice stairwell and parking spots from the road. . Enjoy your stay, you won’t regret it.

This property worked out perfectly for out for family. Enough rooms for all to have privacy. The hot tub was also a great bonus for relaxing

Hiking and Leavenworth activities are lots of fun.

Great house. Well stocked. 2 families total of ten people. Great amenities for the kids, with plenty of space. The driveway can be tricky with any size trailer, even a small utility visited in the summer, might be tricky in the winter. Parking down the hill was ok. Lots of stairs, can see how older folks or medically fragile might not be able to move freely around the property. Overall both of our families had a great time.
4.8
Our favorite part of this house was the deck. It was in a quiet neighborhood, great view of the lake.
The bathrooms were well stocked with towels and toiletries. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. I gave 4 stars to cleanliness because most of the spoons and forks had food residue. Some of the plates have some residue as well. The toilets don’t flush well.😬
There was also a blackout that was apparently scheduled from 6am-9am the first morning of our stay that we didn’t know about.
Overall the house was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Only 30 minutes from Leavenworth, this is a great spot for relaxation away from crowds!

What a fantastic stay! Beautiful property overlooking the lake.

We stayed over the 4th of July holiday. We booked as a way to get our dog away from fireworks and spend a quiet holiday with family and the house provided both. It’s a great home with plenty of room for everyone and super views of the lake across the street. We walked to the lake swimming beach and it took just under an hour and was an easy walk. Mosquitos are no joke- but it’s summer so expected just plan for it.
Great house and would stay again.

Our group really enjoyed our time here. The house and the views were beautiful! The only criticisms we have were the lack of full length mirrors and the dim lighting inside the house. Otherwise, we had a blast and if we ever come back again we would totally rent again!
4.8
Great accommodations, many pluses. Close to the lake, but far enough in the trees to not be disturbed. Very quiet and lots of room for our family of 8.
A++++ on the quality of the BEDS. every bed was comfy. Top bunks downstairs will not hold adult size person, as a side note (kids only)
The owner was VERY responsive from the start of the booking until the end. No hassles or troubles.
4.8
Beautiful view! Quick access to lake. House was well equipped. Close enough to drive into Leavenworth.
4.8
The house was well appointed. The owner communicated quickly, and was available should we need anything. The deck was the primary hangout spot, and a great space for grilling out dinner. It’s hard to find dog friendly homes, and we would definitely stay here again.
4.8
Lots of room and a very comfortable couch

We do a yearly ski trip with friends and this is definitely one of our favorites over the 10 plus years we have been doing the trip. The view was gorgeous and the house was well-appointed. The owner was quick to respond to any questions, and provided lots of helpful info about the area.

We had a fantastic stay. Home is comfortable, well equipped and beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub, the views and time together. Communication was easy. Would definitely stay again.

feels secluded, though not; great views; enough room for a large family and comfortable. Not an issue for us and if you don't have a 4wd / chains, you will need to load in / out from the stairs below.
4.8
House was beautiful and had tons of comfy beds. The views were breathtaking. Be prepared for a lot of stairs to the house. Once the snow hits, the driveway is not useable without chains. There were cobwebs and spiders which I wish the cleaning crew had taken care of but really was not a huge issue. We had a few issues (dishwasher rocked back and forth and the faucet was wiggling bad) when we got there but we texted the owner and he came same day to fix things. I would stay there again, for sure. It was a great break from the city madness and the house was beautiful.

This was our second time staying at this property and we love it! Enough space for two families and great proximity to State Park and activities. Hot tub was an added bonus.
4.8
We had a group of 10, adults and kids. The house is very nice and view was very good. Lots of beds for everyone and very comfortable. The location is great for hiking or going to the lake at the park. However there is no local beach access except for the park that’s about 5 minute drive. My groups only complaints were, no beach access, the house could stand to be cleaned a little better and there were a lot of large bugs (but you are in the forest). Overall a nice house for a large group.

Cedar Brae
We always have some trouble finding a home "just right" for our group of 10 which includes 2 grandparents, 2 adult sons, their spouses, and 2 children for each couple (2 & 6 for 1 son, 13 & 17 for the other son. This worked out better than many, offering lots of sleeping options and room to spread out, close proximity to 2 lakes, lovely view and woodsy setting, a wonderful restaurant at the local golf course, open to the public, close to Plain and Leavenworth.
There are some downsides - The access road is very steep (as advertised) but we managed easily with AWD vehicles. The mosquitos were AWFUL and prevented us from spending much time on the deck, hot tub or walking around the area which is something we like. The teenagers used the steep exterior stairs twice and found the bugs unbearable in that area. Access to the hot tub and parking was cumbersome as we used the 2 lower rooms with outside doors for sleeping spaces. The only other route was exiting upstairs and down a pathway, also bug laden.

Perfect Family Stay
Great visit to lake Wenatchee and wonderful spot to jump off and explore the area. Loved having the big deck to hang out on and enjoy the lake views after a day adventuring throughout the region. Bedrooms were well suited for adults upstairs and kids down so we could hang out later into the evening. Will for sure consider coming back yo this property. Wou Kmart love to check out more in the region as we just scratched the surface. Only slight snag is that check in info includes information and directions for all properties managed. Would recommend individual check in documents for each property with directions so user error does not occur 😆

Amazing views
Overall the property was very nice. Lots of privacy and great views from the deck. Comfy couch and the beds were all very comfortable. The only issue we had was with the bedrooms downstairs which are built so that from one of the rooms you have to walk through another bedroom to get to the bathroom or upstairs. The walls were also very thin. So if oeivacy isn’t an issue for you, then it’s fine.

Great Family Gathering Spot
Loved the location and property. Great deck with fantastic lake vista. Accurately described in listing. Great hiking and biking and waterfront state park right up or down the street. Hot tub a huge plus after outdoor activities!

Overall property was as expected and comfortable for 7 adults plus one dog. Cons: Property could use some TLC and extra touches for price you pay -- wasn't as clean as it could be, hot tub was dirty on arrival, sliding door to deck was difficult to open, bathtub didn't drain well, no shampoo provided, limited paper products and no dish towels. Pros: Beautiful view, quiet location, comfortable beds, close to state park, short drive to Leavenworth, and really appreciate that they allow dogs. Owner's lengthy contract, excessive signage/rules were a bit over the top but overall pleasant stay with no major issues.

Great view, nice hot tub, nice place. Kelly is a great host. Put up a tree and lights on stairway for you s for Xmas. Could use some new pans in kitchen. And housekeepers could clean a little better and leave soap in showers.

View was well worth the climb! Got 20” + of fresh snow while we were there and the down below parking made it stress free!
