The property and location was beautiful and relaxing.

On our last stay at this same property, just 7 months earlier, the washer and dryer were accessible, so for this recent 5 day visit we packed accordingly. On arrival the laundry room door was locked and we were told the owners decided not to the allow access to it. Cell service is non existent which is perfectly understandable, but makes reliable WiFi very important. The WiFi was erratic and had no signal 90% of the time at our last visit but we were reassured it had been checked out recently and was working well. If anything, WiFi availability was even worse. As physicians it is important we be available to contact our patients and the hospital, we had to drive into town multiple times and at all hours of the day to communicate with my medical team and patients. Perfect location and a cozy clean cottage and we hoped to plan many trips there but unless these two important issues are addressed we will be unable to rebook.

My girlfriend and I were in Helen to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was a relaxing location for the two of us. You couldn’t be closer to town, but it’s still quiet at night listening to the river flowing. All around we loved the cabin, location, and decor, and would recommend this location to other couples wanting to enjoy Helen!

The cabin was very clean, great location , in walking distance to town. Our only complaint aould be comfortabiliry of the bed and couch. We did not sleep well on our stay. Please make the investment on those items - if we had that it would be a 5 star rating.

Loved everything about it except the road noise from the highway on the other side of river. 18 wheelers jake braking was a little annoying. Other than that, no issues.

This place is in a great location, and the place it self is nice, but it needs cleaning. Unpleasant smell the moment you open the door, everything has lots of dust. In the bedroom the fan was very dirty, the mirrors had dust, the TV was cover in dust. I started dusting the night table next to my bed because I just couldn’t take it. Same story with the curtains dust, dust. I didn’t want to keep cleaning because I was releasing the dust into the air and I started sneezing so I stop. The bathroom was nice and clean, the bathroom window curtains where transparent, we use the towels to covered. The kitchen stove was clean, so was the sink and fridge, but inside the cabinets was not, they need painting and cleaning. In the living area the same lots of dust. There is a really big spider web in the ceiling, the fan is also dirty. There’s to many old little flowers arrangement full of dust everywhere. Is sad that this place is so abandoned because it has the potential. The outside needs some TLC as well, the rocks needs pressure cleaning because they are getting very slippery. Helen is beautiful and everyone in town is very nice.

The Cabin we rented had some really good upsides and some irritating downsides. I will start with the positives. The location on the river is amazing, being able to watch the water from the waterfront deck or the living room couch is fantastic. The Firepit and the option for gas or charcoal BBQs are nice and we certainly utilized them all. The kitchen is fully stocked and we found everything we needed during our stay; however, I highly suggest you wash everything before use as it appears many items have not been cleaned for quite some time. Sadly, I must list out a few items that made this a little less enjoyable for our stay. First was dealing with the cabin management team Cabin Rentals of Helen. They still blame everything on “due to covid” and “during our busy season”. Don’t ask for anything via the email or text they provide, as you will receive a robotic-style answer without care as to your unique situation. They gave us a response that read: Due to Covid 19 Cleaning requirements, do not check in until after 4 P.M. so we have sufficient time to prepare the property. We asked for early check-in again and they said they could not guarantee this and basically this was their non-care way of saying NO. We stayed at a near bye cabin with our friends (The day of check-in) within eyesight of the rental cabin and no one was there that day at any time to clean or anything else. Again, be prepared when dealing with this rental agency as they do not care about you

Enjoy the quiet stay in this Little Riverfront cabin. Cabin was decorated, so cute for Christmas very homey and inviting. If I had to say anything negative, that would only be that the bed and bedding the update it.!

Beautiful cabin with all the comforts one would need. Absolutely loved nights by the campfire listening to the flow of the river and star gazing. An easy walk into town. Great location to experience the hiking trails. Will definitely come back.

We had to cut our vacation short because of this cabin. There’s so many safety issues and lack of maintenance that it’s hard to know where to start so I’ll just itemize the issues. 1) bed was not a queen size, it was a full size which is too small for 2 adults to sleep on. 2) I had to get a tetanus shot after attempting to open the corroded/ rusted metal top salt shaker that they provided after it sliced open my thumb and forefinger. Also, the silverware and pots/pans were so nasty that we decided to buy plastic ware. 3) the dust inside the cabin was terrible and had a bad odor. We could not stop sneezing anytime we were inside. 4) the main road into Helen is on the opposite side of the river and the traffic noise drowns out any sounds of the water flowing that you might hope to enjoy. 5) a tree limb fell from the tree at the deck and hit me in the back of the head. 6) this is a very small and confined space. 2 adults cannot stand and move around in any of the rooms. The cabin is closer to 500 sq ft instead of the advertised 1150. 7) the front porch, walkway and steps are very unsafe to use Overall, we had a terrible experience at this property. It’s obvious that the property manager only cares about keeping this place booked and do not concern themselves with the safety of their guests.

Enjoyed the deck beside the river most of all. It was fun to watch people tubing in the afternoon. The cabin was very cute and cozy, perfect for 2 people. Helen is a very short drive. The location is perfect for visiting the nearby parks, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks. Betty’s Country Store is close by and provided us with any groceries and their deli sandwiches and sides were excellent. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Great Get Away!

We stayed for 4 nights. My wife and I live in Norfolk Virginia but we were both raised in East Tennessee. We love the mountains and rivers. River Haus and Helen Georgia gave us all of that and more. The cabin was easy to find and views of the river from the deck are amazing. We found watching the tubers getting stuck on the rocks very entertaining. The cabin was clean and cozy, perfect size for a couples get away. It was fully equipped including a stacked washer and dyer hidden in the hall closet (bring your own detergent and fabric softner). We prepared all our meals in the small kitchen and on the gas grilled provided on the deck. We love to hike and the cabin is 30 minutes or less to dozens of great trails. We will be coming back next year.

We very much enjoyed this location. It was wonderful to sit on the rocks in the lake and have a fire in the pit, and wake and sit on the porch overlooking the river. There was everything we needed on site and of course plenty to do in Helen. We will be back!
