About this house rental
This beach house is arguably the most unique beach house in Carolina Beach. It was created solely with the relaxation and enjoyment of the occupants in mind. The upstairs of the house has a large great room with connecting kitchen and dining rooms. There is an outdoor covered porch on the 2nd floor to enjoy the views and to hang out / dine. The very large great room is divided in two. There is a 65 inch LED TV with full cable/DVD capability on one side for watching television/movies. The other side is a living room to enjoy the views of the ocean and salt marshes. The kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, etc. There is a large guest bedroom upstairs. Free internet / wifi is available inside and outside the house.
This house is not ocean front. However, it is directly aligned with a public beach access which is a block away. This allows for very nice views of the ocean to the east, a large salt marsh to the north, and great views of the surroundings from inside the house, from the 1st and 2nd floor decks and the outdoor hot tub on the 1st floor deck.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. All the bathrooms have granite vanity tops and large ceramic tiled showers with thick glass enclosures. The master bathroom also has an oversized bathtub. All 3 bedrooms have walk in closets.
The master bedroom is very large with a mini bar with refrigerator and serves as a suite with a sitting area with a very comfortable fold out couch. From this bedroom, there are views of the ocean and french doors that lead out to the built in hot tub as part of the very large decking system. There is a large foyer area with adjacent laundry room for drying beach towels etc. The 1st floor has 1 additional large guest bedroom.
The house has 3 large bedrooms with a large queen sized fold out couch in the master suite and 2 additional queen sized fold out couches in the great room. The additional fold out couches will accommodate 6 additional adults far a total of 12 adults. The fold out couches have new 'memory foam' mattresses and are very comfortable.
The 1st floor decking system is impressive in all that it has to offer. There is an array of very comfortable outdoor furniture that will accommodate up to 15 people. A built in hot tub seats 6 adults with views of the surrounding area. Beneath the covered portion of the deck is a granite tiki bar with sink and electrical outlets. A selection of small electrical appliances is available (toaster oven, electric grill, griddle, hot plate, toaster, coffee maker, blender) so that meals can be prepared outside if wanted.
All sheets, pillow cases, etc., bath and an ample supply of beach towels are included. The beds are already made. No need for a linen service. The kitchen is fully equipped including many small appliances for use inside and outside on the deck / tiki bar. Ample supply of laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc. Pretty much everything you will need is available in the house so you only have to bring food and personal items.

The house and location are great. My interactions with the former owner during booking were outstanding. But this house was recently sold and is now managed by a new property management company. My impression is that they are unfamiliar with the house and its operational details. TAKE NOTE: CHECK OUT TIME HAS MOVED UP TO 10 A.M. AND ALL DISHES MUST BE CLEAN AND PUT AWAY BY THAT TIME. (This was a rather large surprise for us.) Management was generally responsive but not always able to fix "the problem." For example, bedroom lights turning on in the middle of the night for no reason. In addition, for a house of this size and this price point it seemed some supplies were lacking. For example we had only 1 wine glass for the house, only 8 spoons for the house, only 1 dish towel for the entire week, pull out sofas were only supplied with a fitted sheet rather than including a top sheet and pillow cases. We also found multiple dirty dishes in the cupboards and stickiness in drawers. I suspect that most of these issues are easily fixable with more attention to detail. We solved many with trips to the dollar store.

This home is in a great location with just a short one block walk to the beach access which you can see from the house. Views from the decks are wonderful - both ocean and marsh views. We were fortunate to meet Chris, the owner, on our arrival. He was wonderful and told us to call with any needs. We didn’t have any since the house was stocked with everything we needed.

Our daughter graduated from UNCW this weekend. We had friends and family coming in from several states and we needed a place to gather after the graduation ceremony. This home was a perfect location and layout for entertaining friends. Our family stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed cooking several large meals, relaxing on the beach (very close walk to access) and hanging out on large decks and hot tub. Thanks to Chris for his hospitality. We would definitely choose this property for future Carolina Beach gatherings.

Glousterman Place was the perfect spot for my family to stay for my beach wedding! Clean property, one block from the beach, spacious, comfortable, pet friendly, and a hot tub, too! It doesn't get better than that. Chris was super helpful in accommodating our party's needs and even offered advice on the best spot on the beach to say "I do." Our whole party enjoyed the house thoroughly and we would gladly stay here anytime.

Home was nice. Owners came over and we met them face to face. They were cool. My only gripe is the sitting furniture needs to be updated. The location is great 😊 Nothing is far from the home . They allow pets , that was a plus for us. The hot tub was a nice touch ( we had to clean it out a little extra ) but it was hot and relaxing on the master balcony. Overall it’s a beautiful home. Chris gives out his number so you can contact him directly if you have any issues .

The home was a great location with wonderful views from the main living spaces. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The outdoor decking was very large and great for outdoor gathering. We are always appreciative of owners who allow dogs and without weight restrictions. ❤️🐾

This house was perfect for our extended family. We traveled with three generations, from age 10 to 74, and 3 labradors (don’t worry, all of the couches and chairs have covers on them that can be cleaned, so there is no trace of animals in the house). The open concept in the kitchen, dining and living area is perfect for large groups to be together. We enjoyed spending our days on the massive deck with plenty of seating, and the hot tub for when the sun went down. The very short walk to the beach allowed us to make frequent trips back to the house to use the restroom or grab snacks or drinks. Zero complaints. We will hopefully be back one day.

We thought the property was very clean and well stocked in regards to towells, kitchen ware and any other linens. The location is great and is about max 10 mins from anything you could need. Would highly recommend this property.

This was easily the cleanest and most organized property i have had the pleasure of staying in. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The walk to the sand only takes a few minutes. The large deck and hot tub is an added bonus. I will definitely be back!

The house was great....large, beautiful decks for outdoor views, easy walk to the beach. Bathrooms are roomy and showers were large and great. Owner great communication every time. Easy check in. Great parking. The only downside I had with this stay was the furniture all needs updating....uncomfortable and very very dirty. We had a couple sleep on the pull out sofa in the living space and they said they would rather sleep on the floor. All of the furniture was bad even the deck furniture is very worn out. Dishes pots and pans very unclean. I would suggest bringing lots of paper items. It was in serious need of a thorough cleaning for sure. The house itself lacks nothing but is screaming for a deep clean and furniture overhall. Location is fabulous house is great.

This house is amazing, and has great amenities (hot tub and deck). We had 6 people and had plenty of room. Access to the beach is super easy, and the deck space was perfect for hanging out and enjoying the nice weather. Lots of stairs though, and the main living space and kitchen is on the 3rd floor. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and will definitely book again.

This property is so thoughtfully designed and laid out for comfortable gathering. The decks were fabulous, the great room spacious and comfortable, and the bedrooms had comfortable queen beds! A great plus for a family with adult kids!

The house is super clean and beautifully appointed. The deck is outstanding! Big kitchen/family room allows for gathering and the bedrooms are spacious with King beds for relaxing. Super easy walk to the beach, lots of parking. Great communication! Highly recommend!!!

My family and I stayed at this lovely house. It is as close to perfect as it gets. The location is nothing short of stunning. The public beach access sits directly in front of the house which affords you an unobstructed view of the ocean while the home's side gives an equally stunning view of the marshes. There are several outdoor lounging and dining spots to enjoy these views. AND, one of these lounging spots is equipped with a hot tub, ample seating, and bar area full of outdoor cooking appliances and a fridge. We really enjoyed the hot tub at night when there was little to no traffic to muffle the sound of the ocean.
As for the interior of the home, it is equipped with everything you need for relaxing, cooking, Netflix binging, and enjoying the beach, which is a hop and a skip away. There is an abundance of linens and beach towels. There isn't a cooking appliance you won't find in the well stocked cabinets.
The owner has thought of everything. There are also lovely and interesting photos sprinkled throughout the home that whisper of fishing expeditions and sweet vacation stories. These photos and the beautiful, well-worn hardwood floors lend just enough warmth to the house to make you feel at home.
We've stayed up and down Carolina and Kure Beach through the years and this is by far the best experience we've ever had. Hats off to the owner for considering everything needed for the perfect family vacation!

Our family loves the Carolina/Kure beach area and vacations there every year. The house is well appointed and has plenty of space to spread out. The deck(s) are great and offered a nice place to hang out after a hectic day. Love the northern end as it's quiet, has great beach access, and offers a nice spot to unwind. I'd recommend this property to others looking for the same!

Very close to the beach and easy drive to nearby restaurants and activities.
Plenty of space and great deck and cover porch.
Only a couple things to note:
Outside furniture was dirty and needs replacement.
Some items inside the house need some maintenance.

House was fantastic! Plenty of space for everyone, we had 9 people, 4 adults & 5 kids. The decks are fantastic! View of the ocean, shaded areas, sunny areas, plenty of furniture. Hot tub was a huge bonus! The only thing I didn’t consider, which was a non-issue for us, is there are quite a lot of stairs which may be difficult for some. Highly recommend the owner and the house!! We would all definitely stay here again!

Lovely home with views of the beach and marsh. Very easy walk to beach. Close drive to other attractions like Wilmington and the Aquarium. There were 7 of us and we all were very comfortable. My 13 year old dog loved it and we would book this place again in a heartbeat.

We had a group of 11 people staying at this property and it was perfect. It was the perfect walking distance to the beach and only about 1.5 mile walk to the main town. We loved the open kitchen/living room and there was plenty of space for everyone. Chris was very easy to get in contact with and helpful when communicating with us. He was very clear with instructions and even provided us with information about Carolina beach. The house was amazing and we loved that we had a hot tub on the property. Both decks were super nice to have with how much space they had. Although we did not have the best weather, it was still a perfect trip and the house helped a lot. Definitely would recommended and would love to come back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay. The layout of the house was great and the owner was responsive to our questions before we arrived. We actually got the opportunity to meet the owner and he was very helpful and encouraged us to reach out if we needed anything. Fortunately, the house was perfect, and we didn't need to bother him.
The house is a very short walk to the beach and the inlet is not far on the other side. The huge deck was a great feature with the new hot tub in the middle. We will look to stay here again on our next trip to Carolina Beach.

The location was great, with many restaurants nearby and a 2-minute walk to the beach. The rooms were good sizes and all bedrooms had private bathrooms. The owner reached out, sent nearby favorites, check-in was flawless and the majority of our group loved the hot tub. The house needs a Deep Clean, many pots and trays were sticky (and no muffin tray or grille). The garbage was filled when we arrived and we had to put our garbage in black plastic bags. Also, the furniture was old and uncomfortable (couches in Great Room and the beds). We had a great time but wouldn't return to the same house. CML

This property was the perfect choice for our family function. The location and proximity to the beach made for a beautiful setting, the setup of the kitchen/great room was conducive to cooking, serving and socializing, the decks were amazing and, of course, the hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed. The owner was very accomodating and easy to communicate with.

The location of this property was convenient. Grocery stores were minutes away and the beach was easily accessible. The house amenities were a plus; lot of bath and beach towels. The kitchen was amply stocked. Lots of pots, pans, plates, silverware, and storage containers. Many appliances were also provided. There was an iron, but we didn't find an ironing board. We enjoyed our visit and would rent this property again. The only thing we missed was the ability to grill as no grill is provided with the property.

Lots of decks surround the house and the many windows on the top floor offer expansive views of the lowlands, other upscale houses and the sky. There’s enough ocean in sight to feel like you are on the beach and the access route is short and direct.. Every appliance was in good working order; huge bathtub in MBR, spotless throughout. The beach is huge, clean and family friendly. And the owner could not have been more accommodating, conscientious and easy to reach. Highly recommend.
