Not worth it.

The location is very close to the Livingstone Museum and downtown, which is nice. The staff are very helpful.

The rooms were definitely outdated. The swimming pool was very dirty and doesn't reflect the pictures shown. The breakfast left MUCH to be desired. We were told the hotel had HOT water by the reception, only to find out there is no running water in the rooms when load shedding is in effect. Then they said we would have hot water once the generator was running; we get back from dinner and inquire again and were told there was "warm" water for the showers... It was ice cold. After a 2 day safari in Botswana, all my travelling companion and I wanted to do was have a hot shower to wash the bush dust/sweat off. We were given buckets of hot water instead and had to make do with that.

Ужасное место с полном отсутствием комфорта

Персонал улыбается, видимо они не понимают, какой это ужас

Сервис отсутствует. Постоянно пропадает электричество, а с ним и горячая вода. Первую ночь поселили в номер без москитных сеток: не смог спать, искусали комары. Всё три ночи не было электричества. Утром невозможно помыться, нет горячей воды. В первом номере над раковиной не было также зеркала: я не мог побриться даже холодной водой и одеть контактные линзы. Завтраки заявлены, но это назвать завтраком нельзя: одно (!!!!) жареное яйцо, даже не два. И всё. Можно кипятком налить чашку чая или кофе. Ни салата, ни фруктов, ни молока, ни джема, ни печенья. Ничего. Платишь просто за кровать при полном отсутствии удобств. Идти есть до центра вечером придётся в полной темноте, берите фонарик с собой.

Friendly staff and comfortably stay

The nicest staff work here! Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty and the hotel is a short walk from the main road. The bar area was nice and the staff put on the game we wanted to watch. Good value. I would stay here again.

Cheap and cheerful but plenty of room for improvement

The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Mavis the manager, who was very accommodating and friendly. The location was good, near to the centre of Livingstone but not too near, and the pool was nice. Decent value for money and the bar was very cheap.

Twice we had to move rooms, with the second room full of mosquitoes. We had two rooms, one of which had a broken shower, with the other room missing a toilet seat. The rooms could have done with more toilet paper, towels etc. upon arrival. The self catering room we were moved to had no cutlery and very little by way of crockery. On the first night, the music from the bar was very loud until gone 11pm which made sleeping difficult.

It had a convenient location to most places and was clean.

The place was very noisy in the early hours of the morning by the staff and hot water was scarce.

Very good

The staff were exceptionally accomodating and pleasant. The rooms and surroundings were very neat and clean.

The pool needs to be treated often. I picked golden days because of the pool amoung other things but my kids couldn't use it coz the water was foggy.

The entrance is warm and welcoming and it only got better with the staff.

Very good

Very friendly helpful staff - especially Mavis the manager. Convenient location. Room very basic but adequate.

Very slow service at restaurant and food mediocre, over cooking meat and often running out of very basic items such as milk and ice cubes. Frequent power cuts meant water supply and WiFi disrupted.

The place is not as exactly as advertised online.

The place is clean though and within the town.

the water kept going from time to time. The room i booked online was not as the room i was given upon reaching the hotel and i was not impressed with the value for money.

Staff were vwry friendly and accommodating. Nice and clean surrounding

It said breakfast included but the morning kitchen staff said only 2 breakfasts were included. We had to explain that we had two rooms, of which onecwas a family room. No glases for juice, waited very long for milk. Otherwise every thing was nice.

The staff is really friendly and helpful! The locations is great. The room is quite old, many things are broken or didn't work. The kitchenette doesn't have enough tools. The best thing of the hotel is the staff!

Warm welcome, great Staff, great service. We felt at home

Great service. Staff very friendly and respectful

For long staying customers , it would have been helpful to know what varieties the Cafeteria had to offer. Only got informed about this at the end of the 12 day stay. Had to drive into town to search for cheaper meals when the Lodge had flexible menus we were not aware of.

2 Nights at GDEL

Location is in a serene environment. Kitchen and restaurant and front desk staff were good. Beddings were fresh.

Rooms are not neat. The walls need new paint, there were exposed electrical connections, the lighting was poor and very low or no wireless connection. My room did not have wardrobes for suitcase and storage.
