This unit accommodates 4 people with 1 King bed and a queen sized sofa bed. Rent with mirror image unit next door to accommodate 8.
We are in a very unique natural habitat. There are times, depending on the tides, when thick seaweed, rocks, and other items wash up on our shoreline. We recommend always wearing water shoes.

My adult sons came along with my husband and I for a week long getaway. We love the keys and because we were right on the water, I was able to still feel like we were "together" while the boys fished. The home is comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking. The master bed was quite comfortable and the roll away cot as well. The fold out queen left a lot to be desired.....
All and all it was a really nice stay.

This property is wonderful!! You open your door to see the ocean each day. Nothing is more peaceful! Andy was very accommodating and communicative answering any and all questions quickly. The kayaks were a nice touch and the fire pit was a nice way to end the evening.
Would definitely stay again!

It was certainly pleasant. I was disappointed that the beach was not conducive to swimming, given the rocks and debris.

This place is amazing! What could be better than your own beach? The house was clean, has a nice kitchen, a grill, kayaks, a firepit, an outdoor dining table, an indoor dining table and covered parking. The only issue that I found was you could hear the roadway traffic at night (which you cant do anything about). The owner was very pleasant to work with and answered all my questions before and during our stay there. I highly recommend staying here!

Nice relaxing place to stay. Great location for exploring the Keys even Key West. Well appointed kitchen and grill. If we return to the area, we’d try to book this property again.

This place is a perfect home base to explore the keys! Half way between key largo and key west. The apartment was clean and comfortable and rite on the beach with grassy flats resort just two doors down. We were lucky enough to be there for their full moon party. I would recommend this rental and absolutely stay here again.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful apartment and view with us!!! Once we got there, could not get the box unlocked to grab the keys for almost 30! Minutes! Had to walk away and come back, got the key and WOW, what a view!!! The view is unbelievable! The apartment is just as advertised!! We had an awesome week and loved waking up on the beach!! The only other thing is the property to the south is a rental also!! They had so many coming and going for our whole week, and ALWAYS had there music blaring!! Not anyone’s fault, just a heads-ups!! And this group was not spring breakers, it was families with kids!

Although the property is located at water’s edge, it should not be considered a swim beach. Even at high tide, water is less than knee deep, more like ankle deep, for many yards out.

My husband and I spent a week. A much needed and overdue honeymoon. The water was beautiful, the area was peaceful. We had lots of privacy. Everything was easy to get to and easy to find. All the people we met during our stay were very friendly and recommended wonderful places to see and excellent places to eat. We cannot wait to come back.

Great little spot
Nice spot convenient to Miami and Key West! I know the seaweed helps with the natural order of things but maybe see about relocating some as the smell was sometimes overpowering to where we didn't want to sit outside when the tide went out. But other than that it was perfect!

Grassy Key
We stayed here with our 3 year old and had a wonderful time! This location is perfect, right on the beach. It’s just minutes away from many things to do and great places to eat in either direction. The setup of the property is well thought out, and great for families.

A great little place to stay for our week in the Keys
Andy was quick to respond, which was helpful. This unit was clean and comfortable and was well-stocked with everything we could need. Comfortable bed, nice comfortable sofas, and the most breaktaking views of the morning sunrise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay we only wished it was longer.

Great Stay on the ocean
Great place, it was roomy, clean and the kitchen was well equip. Lots of towels. We enjoyed ourselves. Only complaint was lack of toilet paper, we were supplied with 3 rolls for a weeks stay with 4 people. Not a huge deal but I wish we had known prior to arriving.

Beautiful Beach Front
This vacation home is clean, fully equipped, and comfortable. It’s our second time there, we love it and all will return again soon.

Great Location and awesome place
It was beachfront! The beach is large and beautiful. Not many places in the Keys have a beach and the beach was awesome! It was clean, bed was comfortable and the location was outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The place had just about everything needed. All the basics. Lots of towels both kitchen and bathroom. They had lots of beach and deck chairs, chair cushions, coolers, and kayaks. I don’t have any complaints. We couldn’t have asked for more. We would gladly stay here again.

Amazing time!
What an awesome place to stay. Location and scenery were great. Everything you need. We loved the sunrises from this property. We seen alot of dolphins, a variety of birds, iguanas, and a small nurse shark while setting outside. We would definitely stay here again.
Thanks for everything,

Another great stay
My Wife and I stayed at this property for the second time and it was just as amazing. Andrew is awesome to work with and Rhonda is the best property manager!
Kayaks were used often. We used them to go catch our dinner a couple times.
We stayed on the property quite a bit as it was nice to have our own private beach.
Sunrises are beyond amazing!
We'll be back for sure.

Excellent!
The unit is perfectly located in Marathon with a gorgeous view of the water. The hosts provide all kinds of amenities, including kayaks, grills, fire pit, snorkel equipment, and beach chairs. The unit itself is very comfortabl and clean. We especialy loved sitting on the deck looking at the water in the morning and evening. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this property with our 11 and 13 year old children. Although there is just one bedroom, they were comfortable sleeping on the pull out sofa and roll away bed. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us-we didn't go to the Keys to stay inside anyway. We have stayed in a number of VRBO properties, and this one is by far the most stocked. There were a ton of towels and extra sheets/pillowcases. The kitchen has pretty much everything you could need. That being said, there were a couple of odd exceptions-the kitchen contains only 3 bowls. Also, there are very few blankets for 4 people. You don't think about needing blankets in the Keys, but when we stayed there were a couple of cool nights and anyone who cranks the A/C would have the same issue. The photos on the listing are totally accurate-this property is a duplex and sits on its own beach. When we stayed, the other duplex was occupied, but we only saw those renters a few times. The property to the south has an owner who was there a few days, and the property is not maintained at all. The property to the north has just been purchased and the new owners were there several days working on fixing it up to prepare for rentals. Moving out from there, some areas still uninhabited, some are not recovered from the last hurricane. We found the beach to be nice, but not a place to just hang out. The sand contains glass and other sharp items brought up from the ocean, so we didn't feel comfortable walking barefoot or playing in the sand. Based on other reviews, we were hoping that this would be a place where we could just go out in the ocean and swim and/or fish. This was not the case. The water is very shallow for a long way out, and we did use that as a great opportunity to head out with water shoes to explore and found some great wildlife. But the type of sand includes a lot of silt that makes you sink down, sometimes up to your knees in some places. For fishing, we used the local bridges and for swimming, we went to the public beach. As others have noted, the sargassum does wash up on shore, but that's just a part of being on the ocean. This property sits right on US1, which is the main road that goes through the Keys. Because of that, there is traffic noise pretty much all the time. You hear it from the bedroom during the night and while on the beach. It also is on the outskirts of town, so nearly anything is a 10-15 min. drive. Hope all of this info helps others!

Love the private beach- nice and relaxing time- the only annoying thing was the iguana that kept coming back each day- Rhonda was great and the place was wonderful

Worth the wait
We tried to stay here back in November and had to cancel, I'm so glad we finally made the trip. The beach house was all that we hoped for and more. It was the perfect size for me and my husband. It was clean and well taken care of with everything you will need except food. The weather was too windy for us to enjoy the kayaks or fish in the surf. We did wade out in during low tide and saw some horseshoe crabs and a few fish. The sea grass is there, but we knew to expect it. It didn't bother us at all, we just walked right over it out into the water. Every evening we enjoyed a visit from the local iguanas. Marathon has some great restaurants and beautiful parks to enjoy. We even fished off of some of the bridges. Its like fishing in an aquarium because you never know what you are going to catch. I have discovered that I love the Keys and can't wait to return. We would love to book Andrew's beach house on our next visit.

Great location!
This was my first trip to the keys, and so glad we stayed in Marathon because it is a quiet, central location for exploring the keys! Our rental was very clean and had all the comforts of home. We had one a tiny issue with the shower on the first day, and the owner responded immediately and had resolved within the hour. Check in and out very easy. There are plenty of beautiful places and activities for all ages and activity levels or you can sit on the beach in front of the rental and just relax! Already planning our return!

Marathon on Atlanta Beach
Had a marvelous time. The beach was private and while on US 1, we didn’t hear much traffic...either on the beach or in the house. Rhonda was very hospitable, and took care of of any concerns. Very convenient to Marathon activities, restaurants and shopping. GREAT time!!!

Nice property. Quiet area. No frills but everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Property manager was helpful as was the owner. Would stay there again. It is obvious they try to make sure all is well and proper for guests.
