Villa H is located on the unspoiled east coast of the island of Antigua, one of the most exclusive destinations in the Caribbean. Standing atop a slightly elevated headland on the edge of (and with private access to) a tranquil coral reef-protected turquoise bay, the Villa has a commanding panoramic view of the Indian Town National Park promontory, a protected area of exceptional natural beauty, and the infinite horizon of the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
Villa H is a spacious and stunning contemporary 2 bedroom property with a fresh, chic and modern look. With large open and light-filled spaces, high ceilings, floor to ceiling glass windows and doors, the Villa cleverly embraces the beauty of its unique outdoor environment while providing total comfort.
Villa H offers a 10-seating outdoor dining verandah which includes a two-meter custom-made barbecue and direct access to a sunken al fresco daybed-lounge. The Villa also offers an 8-seating indoor dining area which is conveniently located near the kitchen and serves as a link between the principal wings of the Villa.
Villa H's spectacular gourmet kitchen is a key feature of the Villa, with clean lines, smooth surfaces and simplistic quality which create a truly modern feel in its design. The kitchen boasts a gorgeous concrete-poured countertop and state-of-the-art appliances. With large glass windows covering the two external walls, it fully embraces the sunlight and garden views.
The tranquil turquoise bay at the foot of the Villa is accessed through a private path which winds its way from the Villa to two large private sea platforms. The lower platform hosts a generous shaded outdoor lounge and leads into the sea, while the upper platform is a sundeck with sun loungers.
Villa H comes staffed with a villa manager, maid and gardener. Additional services may also be arranged upon request (such as a chef and house provisioning).
One of the best beaches in Antigua, Long Bay beach, and three beach restaurants are only a short walk or a 2 minute drive away. The village of Willikies (for local provisioning) is a 5 minute drive away, while the airport and the capital, St. John's, are a 25 minute drive away.

Best location in Antigua hands down! Best host hands down! Definitely recommend!!
4.0 / 5.0
The Villa was great, views of the bay and ocean amazing.
Always a strong o ran breeze to keep the temperature down while outside on the numerous decks.
Snorkeling in the bay outside the Villa was terrific and we spent hours everyday in the water.
The only thing missing in the house is a microwave (popcorn lovers that we are).
The recommended chef to cook meals in the Villa was disappointing. Expensive and not that creative.
Better meals at the local restaurants such as Mama Pasta for pizza and fish burgers (both excellent with great views of Long Bay Beach) and
Reggae Village for fried fish and jerk chicken.

This was by far the best vacation we have taken over the last 15 years of using VRBO. Christiane is the best host we have ever encountered. She was easy to communicate with, answered any questions, and just the sweetest to check on us throughout. The residence is impeccable, modern design, with everything needed. The plunge pool and ease to access the ocean, a snorkeling paradise from beginners to experts.
She also has the best staff. From Charles greeting us at the airport and providing taxi service throughout our stay when needed - his smile and friendliness is contagious! To Kristin our chef who took time before our arrival to learn what type of meals, likes, dislikes, allergens, she provided Michelin class meals, taking our senses and tastes to new levels, highlighting locally sourced foods, fruits, and vegetables. To Glenny who came multiple times during our stay for housecleaning and laundry services - all three were 5 Star, going far and above to ensure our vacation was a perfect as it could be.
I wish I cloud say more, but the pictures provide a true representation of your view - breathtaking!
You need to come experience this amazing property, the perfect host and her team, and this beautiful island.

Words can’t describe how amazing Christiane and her home are! We had such an unbelievable long weekend escape and are already planning our next trip back! Christiane and all of the staff are incredible, very responsive and very helpful. I 100% suggest that you do at least one dinner with her chef, Kristina. Not only is she an incredible cook but she’s also just a wonderful human being and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her each evening. You definitely don’t want to skip on staying in this beautiful home with these beautiful people. Counting down the seconds till we get back!

The home is exactly as presented in the photos and descriptions. We spent three days there and the home is beautiful. Christiane also helped us with transportation arrangements and also a chef that came into the home and prepared two wonderful dinners for my family. As others have said, it is away from the main tourist areas, so be prepared to rent a car or get a taxi to go places, but this is no problem to take care of. It is a very relaxing location and everything worked well while we were there. I would definitely stay here again.

As we entered the villa for the first time, we had great difficulty turning our Midwestern eyes away from the magnificent view through the floor-to-ceiling, ocean-facing windows long enough to chat with Christiane, the owner, who was there to greet us!
The villa is perched on a cliff about 40 feet above the shimmering crystal, turquoise waters of the bay with 3 platform levels from which to take in the beauty of the Caribbean creation. We had come hoping for just a warm, restful place to soak in sunshine before returning to our busy season back home - and that was exactly what we did. There was no need to go anywhere else. We simply stayed there trying to absorb as much as possible the soothing sounds of the sea and the warmth of the sun.
Floating in the personal, infinity pool a short way down the cliff with the Caribbean on the horizon provided the illusion of bobbing in the sea but within the safety of the overflowing containment. The creative use of concrete in the construction of the interiors of the villa is unique and merits attention and admiration as well. Christiane was an intriguing and excellent hostess who helped to personalize our visit to Antigua and to her villa. You will love her and your stay at Villa Hansen.

My wife and I chose this house for our first visit to Antigua. We were not disappointed. As most reviewers have noted, this house is away from any area for nightlife but that wasn't an issue for us. We rented a car for the week and could drive +/- 30 minutes to anywhere on the island. Just be careful the island roads are narrow and have lots of potholes. We used Google Maps and got everywhere we wanted but it will take you on some "goat path" roads. We chose to turn around on one road it took us on the rest we made it through. Go and enjoy this home. You will enjoy yourself.

We had the most wonderful stay at this magnificent spot. Our host , Christiane, was welcoming, generous, and so helpful. The home itself elegant, comfortable and beautifully situated on Dian Bay. Best snorkeling we did on our trip just steps from the deck. Excellent stay. Can’t wait to return.

This property is gorgeous. The location is remote but the house has everything. The view is insane and it is very private. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. The host is always available and very accommodating. A gem…Would for sure go back.

Property is a rare find. Just as beutiful as the pictures. Very clean and everything you need to prepare your meals. Could lay on the outdoor sunbeds forever - loved the outdoor shower and the plunge pool. Thank you Christiane for making your home available to us!

Christiane, our host was very easy to work with. She was engaging before and during our stay.
The property is a great place for a quiet time away. It is off the 'beaten path', which was exactly what we were looking for in a rental. English Harbor has all the activity needed to meet our needs.
We highly recommend this property.

An island treasure: architecturally unique, very well-appointed, wonderfully laid-out open-air home with sweeping floor-to-ceiling views and amazing tropical breezes. Tons of privacy and multiple outdoor decks to take in the sun, sky and sea. Great plunge pool, plus super-easy access to the water for swimming and snorkeling. Bonus points for the awesome concrete floors, outdoor showers and cactuses. Not an area for nightlife, which was 1000% fine with us. An utter gem.

My husband and I stayed as a part of our honeymoon trip. We wanted some quiet for a few days away from the busier resort towns, which this home very much accomplished for us. There are actually two resorts nearby, one of which allowed us to get a dinner pass for $75 USD for some ok food, if you can get passed security to the concierge desk. Other than that, you pretty much have to drive 30 minutes to anything else. We struggled with this a little. Since we weren't staying very long, we didn't buy a ton of supplies, and ended up without toilet paper, bug spray, and coffee and some other essentials at the home. Rent a car, go to the store on your way out there, and get plenty of cash (there are no ATMs nearby and the one in English Harbor was broken during our stay) before driving out to this home. Christiane was very responsive and kind, however, her home manager was difficult for us to communicate with since we don't speak Spanish. We didn't go out in the ocean as there are no water sports equipment at this home, however, there are a ton of kitchen utensils and tools, so you could make pretty much anything. Ask Christiane about a private chef, it is 100% worth it. The house is very beautiful and the pool is great for a couple of adults who want to relax for the weekend.

Christiane is an attentive host. The villa is absolutely beautiful, with big windows and beautiful views, comfortable lounge areas indoors and out, and easy access to the sea for swimming and snorkelling. Located in a quiet area, with a short walk to Long Bay Beach, this villa requires a rental car, but the drive is worth it. Shop for groceries in St John’s first because the nearest convenience store has a modest selection. Suggest packing bug spray for the mosquitos if sitting out in the evening. 10/10 would stay again and recommend to friends.

A wonderful house that was so hard to leave. Beautiful views. Quiet area. We were two couples and the house worked perfectly for us. Two roomy bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen where we prepared meals most nights. While we toured Antigua, we were anxious to get back to the house where we found the shore snorkeling better than any place else. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
5.0 / 5.0
We had a wonderful 6 night stay. We love snorkeling and most days we had good visibility swimming from the steps. It can be a little tricky getting in so I wouldn’t recommend for the elderly, but we had so much fun.
There are plenty of Pelicans to see and lobsters under rocks. Also pencil fishes and others.
The house itself is gorgeous too.
I’d recommend taking some basic provisions like stock cubes and herbs, but there was cooking oil and a few starter items.
We shopped at the epicurean supermarket.
Not a place for people who want nightlife as a bit secluded, although Long Bay is very near and Mama Pasta is ok for lunch.
Christiane is a gem. Hoping to stay again soon.
Such good memories!

Villa H is amazing! The view is everything as promised and the property itself beyond belief. Christiane the host was very helpful even before we got to the island and was right there when we needed questions answered. I would highly recommend Villa H.

This property is absolutely gorgeous. It is exactly as described in the listing. We have stayed several places in antigua before and this was our absolute favorite. It’s unfortunate though that I didn’t realize Christiane was the owner of this beautiful property. We had a nice long chat the day we were leaving, and I wish we had chatted sooner. Since Christiane has lived in Antigua so long, consider her a great reference and guide to the island. She’s a lovely hostess! She has bread, eggs, butter and water all ready for us when we arrived. She linked us up with the car rental man, JahT, and that was a seamless process as well. She is available if you need her but otherwise you are free to just enjoy her beautiful property. The access to the water is amazing. We saw giant tortoises and sting rays and many other fish right in the bay. I will definitely be renting her gorgeous property again. Thank you so much Christiane!

Hey so you know how sometimes you have the most amazing stay at a property so you decide to go back in a couple of years and it just isn't quite the same the second time?
That absolutely was not the case at Villa H. We had an even more amazing stay this time!!
This villa is was just as we remembered. Clean, beautiful, welcoming and just outstanding!
We were so happy to meet Christiane. An amazing host and it is very evident that she takes great pride in making sure your stay is relaxing and hassle free.
Kendra did a superb job of keeping the place clean and tidy during our stay and as always, Glenny was there before and after our stay to prepare the villa for the next guests. So kind and welcoming!
Honestly if you're thinking about booking, just do it. You will not be disappointed!
We cannot wait to return for a third time!
Thanks to you all!!

Our stay here was incredible. Christiane was great to work with. The villa, grounds and views were all amazing. The pictures are all very accurate. We would not hesitate to book this property again!
We spent a lot of time exploring the island which is incredibly beautiful. We ate at Indian Summer, Cloggy's, Shirley Heights, Catherines Cafe and Colibri. We would go back to all of them, but listed them in the order of our preference. Shirley Heights on Sunday was so fun. We got there at 5:15 which was perfect. The band was amazing. I would recommend buying your food tickets right away even though you may eat later. The food tickets are sold in the same line as drinks and that line gets really long as time passes. You will need reservations at all except Shirley Heights.
Antigua has some incredible beaches. We explored many of them. We did an amazing hike that took our breath away. The hike was Jones Valley Trail to Carpenter Trail (total distance 4km).
We booked a 3 1/2 hour snorkeling excursion with Sea Cat Discoveries. We snorkeled Cades Reef and would definitely recommend their company. The snorkel tour also included lunch. We also did another snorkel excursion with another company from Long Bay Beach. We booked that at the first booth. They took us to Green Island. That was excellent too.
Even though many places may only be short distances in terms of miles, plan for longer.
Again, Christiane was so wonderful! We already miss being in Antigua showered with her warm hospitality.

Just click book, you won't regret it.
Christiane was a fabulous and accommodating host and we needed nothing. This is by far the coolest place to stay if you want quiet, away from people... The kitchen is fabulous to cook with your love and the snorkeling right in front is incredible.

Pictures does not do this property justice! Being able to wake up and have the beautiful view of the ocean every morning was such a mesmerizing experience. Christiane was a great communicator and assisted us with any of our questions / needs.

The villa is an outstanding property in terms of location, the beautiful architecture, and the stunning views of the multi-colored ocean below. The open floor plan is extensive with two master suites and a lovely outdoor dining area adjacent to the pool. Easily sharable with family or another couple.
Photos on VRBO are accurate but cannot adequately convey the scale or pleasing aspects of the villa. One of the hallmarks of a good rental is communication with the owner, and Christiane is exemplary in her rapid response and provision of helpful information. It was such a pleasure to become acquainted with her as we settled into the house and the area. When small problems arose, she was very quick to intervene. Lovely Long Bay is a two minute drive away, and other beaches on the island are reachable with a little driving. At the end of each excursion it was always so nice to return to the comforts of the villa and watch the colors change as the day ends. Access to the bay below the house is convenient via the stairs and sunning platform. Steps into the ocean provide opportunites to snorkel in the sheltered bay and spot lobsters in shallow water. This is a one-of-a-kind house, one of the best we have found via VRBO and so enjoyable for our two week stay.

A wonderful and very stylish property that sits above a stunning bay. Lots outdoor seating areas and direct access to the calm turquoise sea. It's a snorkelers dream as you're straight on to a lively and crystal clear reef with various corals, colourful reef fish, lobsters, anemones and a welcoming barracuda.

I’m convinced this is the most beautiful property on the island. The view is amazing the house is stunning. Private. Quiet. Everything you could want in a rental. 2 minute drive to one of the best beaches in Antigua. Shops and restaurants on that beach.
Florence and Glenny were phenomenal if you get a chance to meet them.

Villa H is a beautifully designed, serene space with beautiful views. Situated on a windswept bluff looking out across the Atlantic Ocean it offers a chance to really disconnect and relax in a well-appointed and comfortable environment. It’s just a short walk down to the beach but a car is necessary for other amenities.

From the moment we booked Christiane could not have been more helpful, sending car hire details of the wonderful Jah-T to he manager giving us details of great restaurants. You definitely need a car. The house has outstanding views and is amazing. Thanks for a wonderful holiday

We arrived at the beginning of a new COVID lockdown. This villa was a wonderful sanctuary. Restaurants closed- no problem with a wonderful kitchen and dining areas. Beaches restricted- No problem with private water access to Dian Bay. Overall , a great relaxing time on a wonderful property.

We stayed here in September 2021 for 10 days. The Villa is situated along a quiet private road near to Long Bay beach. The Villa commands beautiful views across the Dian Bay peninsula and has a welcoming onshore easterly breeze. The Villa is well appointed as you would expect and has 2 very spacious double bedrooms and a cot. We travelled as a couple only. The Villa boasts a small but welcoming infinity pool as well as outside step access to a small jetty for sunbathing and entering the sea.
The unique part of this Villa is in fact the owner who prises herself on ensuring all guests receive the highest possible customer service. Christiane knows exactly how much attention to provide and does it excellently. She has local support from Florence who was equally charming, helpful and accommodating.
We had a perfect stay and I could not recommend the villa enough.

From start to finish, Christiane was the most amazing host. She ensured that we not only had everything we needed in the house but also recommended food and car rental services. She checked in with us a few times to ensure everything was going well and promptly responded to any questions I had. I came to this property looking to escape and have a relaxing birthday. I had that and so much more. Everything about the house was so beautiful and thoughtfully placed or designed. Overall the island is amazing, the house is amazing, Christiane was an incredible host. I will absolutely be back!

What should be said about the cliff side property and its terraces leading down the coral path, and the warm immersion into the sea....
The constant fresh cooling winds,
The electric sea colors - with the underneath coral garden and it's colorful little fish inhabitants,
The elegant modern house - a contemplative experience that opens to it all the outside wonders,
And then there's its owner, your host Christiane -smart, gracious, and alway attentive to one's needs, but always respectful to preserve the quiet privacy we appreciated.
Thank you again for everything, Christiane!

My fiancé and I absolutely adored Villa H. The stunning location and views, the privacy, the luxury of your own private sundeck at the water's edge - simply heavenly. If you are looking relax and get away from it all, we can hardly think of a better location. We hardly ventured out save to get provisions! The villa itself is comprehensively appointed, with absolutely masses of internal and external space. Christiane is an extremely helpful host and it is clear she takes great pride in keeping the property immaculate. How we would love to be back there now!

My husband and I simply adored Villa H. We had a fabulous time, and the charm and comfort of the villa didn't let us explore much of Antigua!!! Thanks to Christiane for her care and attention to detail. Jennifer

We were looking for an "away from it all", "on the water" vacation rental in Antigua and chose Villa H, based on reviews and photo's. From the moment we walked into the front entrance, we were blown away by the view; so much glass and endless ocean views! The Villa offers many ways to enjoy the sun and sea; from the private sundeck to the easy bay access for snorkelling/swimming. The maid and gardener were freindly, professional and unobtrusive. In every way, we found the experiences at the Villa and around the island to be relaxing, memorable and beyond expectations. Our only challenge (other than driving!) was food. There were few close in restaurant choices, so plan on driving some distance -or- buying provisions for cooking at the Villa, which has a great kitchen. I must say a few words about our host, Christiane; a special lady who made our visit that much better by attending to our needs. She met us at the Villa, provided helpfull information and welcome refreshments and was always available if needed. She far exceeded her duties after we had checked out of the Villa; showing up so unexpectedly at the airport, kindle in hand, just as my wife and I realized we had left it at the Villa. Yes, she had driven across the island to make sure we had all our belongings! These absent minded travellers are grateful and impressed!
2.5 / 5.0
My partner and I are very fussy and particular travellers. We value extreme privacy and quiet, in truly beautiful locations, but accompanied by as much luxury as possible (no sand-floor beach-hut for us), and modernist/minimal design (can't stand touristy-vernacular kitsch). All in all, a tall order indeed! I can honestly say that Villa H. exceeded our expectations - and this has never happened to us before.
Now, as with everything, one man's dream is another man's nightmare, so you have to be clear about what you want from your holiday in Antigua before you book this stunning villa, in order to enjoy it as unreservedly as we did.
It is not on the western side of the island, where most of the bars and shops etc are; you need to drive around 20 mins before you get anywhere worth getting to (other than the immediate vicinity of the villa and the nice but quite developed Long Beach), so do not plan to use this place as a launching pad for the ultimate Touristy Antigua Tour. You must want to be in one of the most fabulously designed and furnished modernist villas you can access for this (bargain) price [I am terrified the price will go up as I write this!], with the most luxurious and comfortable interiors, several private terraces and unobstructed views, including a private (and I mean totally private) sunning deck with loungers just above the water, wherefrom you can dip into the sea (not a sandy beach, but a largely sandy, shallow bay, where you can swim forever); you must enjoy spending time there, with whomever comes with you, relaxing in a dozen different positions/loungers/sofas/terrace, and then cooking something in the truly impressive and impressively equipped kitchen (three different garlic crushers... respect!); you must be happy taking a break from lounging with a 20-30min drive across fabulously virgin tropical landscapes in your 4 wheel drive to either the capital for decent provisions, or English Harbour for a formal dinner out (wonderful Admiral's Inn - our favourite), or Half Moon Bay for the bona fide, postcard-perfect pink sand Caribbean beach, etc.
If you want to make new friends every night in a different watering hole, this place isn't for you. But if you are longing, as we do, for an experience of true luxury (which means: masses of space, immaculately designed, all mod cons, dead quiet and privacy, in gorgeous location), without being able to afford Necker Island, then look no further.

We spent 2 weeks with friends at Villa H last summer and decided to return alone this year to enjoy it all on our own! It blew us away all over again. The Villa is just breathtaking. We love the comfort, modern look, very very high ceilings, HUGE glass windows and the large private jetty. I’m not even going to mention the VIEW! It’s just the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. WE WILL BE BACK SOON! PS the pictures do not do it justice!

Villa H is a beautiful villa with an amazing view. It is private and romantic with top quality amenities and a charming and extremely thoughtful owner. She is available and more than willing to assist with any request. Did I mention the view? Just mesmerizing. Villa H is a unique contemporary two bedroom villa. The interior living area and the bedrooms are very comfortable. It is obvious that the owner has an eye for fine detail and the comfort of her guests. The entire house, but particularly the living room, has been set up for the guest to enjoy the view. It really is a wow moment when you first walk in and look to the living room and out to the water. The floor to ceiling sliding doors are fantastic and really bring the outside “into” the house. There is just a fantastic flow to the house. The outdoor couches share the wonderful view and are very comfortable. The sea platform…love the sea platform. We have traveled throughout the Caribbean quite a bit, but this feature is unusual and very cool. We enjoyed this outdoor area immensely. The villa is maintained in tip top condition and is immaculately clean. Villa H is the perfect place to get away from it all. It is located away from the hub bub of the island but is still convenient to town and a couple of good restaurants. We felt very safe and secure in this area of the island.
I would highly recommend this villa to anyone with discriminating standards. You will take away lovely memories and especially on cold days your thoughts will drift back to this beautiful place. This is a glowing but sincere review. As noted earlier, we have been traveling in the Caribbean for thirteen years now and this is only the second time that I have felt compelled to write a review for a property.

We recently spent three weeks at Villa H with our one year old daughter. The villa is sumptuous, spacious and very comfortable. It is equipped with everything you can imagine (so you will feel right at home). In our opinion, the pictures really don’t do it justice. Although the villa doesn’t have a pool (we are not pool people, we prefer the sea!), the villa has its own private access and large jetty from which to swim, so we spent a lot of time in our own private sanctuary, swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding all around the bay. There is also Long Bay beach a few minutes away which we really liked (where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas and can find a couple of small restaurants). Maria, the housekeeper, was very friendly, attentive and great with our baby. Christiane, the villa manager, was one of the most helpful people I have ever met. We did not want to leave. Thanks for having us and see you again soon! Jon

For two weeks this Summer, there were only two of us - me and Villa H. The Villa took such good care of me! The magnificent view over the bay helped me to wake up early in the morning. Smartly equipped kitchen assured me that I can cook ... at least an omelet … Sea was warm and welcoming and made me feel special as I had it almost exclusively to myself. Comfortable sundecks wisely reminded me that sun-tanned look suits me so much.. Breeze and shade on the veranda lectured me that I should thoroughly enjoy my meal and seep some wine.. The turquoise lounge kept the color of the sea for me and let me enjoy it late in the evening. My huge bed knew exactly when it was time to sleep and called for me. The sound of the waves brought me colorful dreams and promised another great day in Antigua..
P.S. And the Villa was very sensitive. Whenever it felt that I was in the exploring mood, it sent me Christiane with her friendly attitude, energy and knowledge of the best places on both islands
