About this house rental
Our lake house is a custom built log house located just 5 minutes or 3 miles outside the town of Grand Lake right off highway 34, on the shore of Shadow Mountain Lake overlooking the lake and the divide. It is right on the lake! The house has magnificent views from every room. It is tastefully decorated and Rocky Mountain National Park is only 5 minutes away.
The house is a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house with about 2000 sq. feet. It sleeps up to 9 people comfortably with 4 bedrooms. The first bedroom is on the main floor and contains a queen size bed. The upstairs has a master bedroom with a king bed, also upstairs is a third bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a loft upstairs with a couch and a desk workspace. Downstairs there is a twin bed and queen bed in the same room and a bathroom with toilet and sink and a separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. There is a gas stove located in the cozy main room where you will find amazing views out of every window of Shadow Mountain lake and the mountains. Step onto the enclosed four-season porch and relax while taking in all of the beautiful scenery of being right on the lake. In the summer or winter step outside to fish right from the lakeside of the house. In the Summer enjoy parking your boat right in front of the house on the 48 foot dock. Dock is only guaranteed available from Memorial day weekend to labor day weekend. The dock is removed after labor day and is put in for memorial day weekend.
This home has everything you would need to enjoy a perfect stay. The main living room and upstairs loft both have Xfinity cable TV. Secured Xfinity wireless Internet access is available throughout the house. The beds all have linens so you don't need to bring them. All of the furniture is log style and comfortable. Each room carries its own theme. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, wine glasses, silverware, glasses and everything you need to cook at home. The house is also stocked with bath towels, hair blow dryer, iron and a baby portable crib. This home is inviting and comfortable. Sorry we do not allow pets and you must be 25 years old to book this house. Also, there can only be 4 vehicles parked at the house in the summer and 2-3 regular size vehicles in the winter and we cannot have campers or RV's parked at the house. There is not enough room for snowmobile trailers in the winter and only one boat trailer in the summer.
Please no pets at the house at all, my wife is allergic to cats and some dogs.
Also, there are 3 outdoor security camera's facing the driveway and parking areas only, nothing inside the house or on the lake side.

The location on the lake is amazing, our family had a great time. The perfect family lake cabin

My friends and I had an Amazing time in the cabin. We all slept comfortably and had plenty of places to hang out. The marina is right next door and we were able to get a rental and spend the day on the lake!

Excellent location right on the water, house is cozy and well stocked. Great communication from host.

Great for our family of 8. Kitchen a bit small but well stocked. Water for swimming was not great. Very muddy bottom and tons of seaweed, but great for boating and fun to watch the comings and goings of the marina next door. Comfortable beds and great to be feet from the water. Must wear shoes on dock, very splintery. We must like it there. Our second year!

We had a wonderful time at the Lake House. The cabin is clean, very well appointed and cozy. From doing sunrise yoga on the private dock, reading a book in the sun room, playing games at the dining room table, to driving into town, hiking up to Adams Falls and enjoying an evening under the stars by the fire - this place has it all. We cant wait to come back again!

Great location- next to Marina and only 1 minute from main road - only 10 minutes to Grand Lake or Rocky National Park!

We could not be happier with this place! The layout is fantastic but the log construction, decor and lake front location are a 6 stars! We brought our snowmobiles and ice fishing gear to use on the lake. We had a great time with the kids and friends on the lake and at the house. Fantastic!

We stayed during the winter months to get in some ice fishing at Granby. The cabin was beautiful! It was just as described on the advertisement. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was stocked good with pots, pans, coffee, basic essentials for dishes. Bathrooms were stocked with towels, soap, shampoo. Mike and Erin were very easy to deal with During booking, answered a few questions for me before we came up. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

Beautiful property. It was exactly as seen in the pictures. We loved the rustic look of this home from the outside and inside as well. My family and I stayed for 5 days and we could've stayed longer. Amazing views from every bedroom in the house. Very quiet and small neighborhood. Due to snow, parking was very limited, but it worked for us as we only had one vehicle.

I booked this for my family over thanksgiving weekend and the lake house was amazing. It has everything you’ll need for a cozy get-away. Everything was clean and organized. Mike and Erin are awesome owners and made everything super easy. I recommend anyone stay here. You won’t regret it.

As advertised. Great cabin location. Would stay again when we come back to visit.

We really enjoyed the property. Great location close to town but quiet. I was very impressed by the overall rustic and quaint feeling of the home but it was also very clean and updated at the same time. We rented a boat from the marina next door and they were lovely people, as well. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed in the house for a women’s weekend for our kayaking group.
This amazing home looks like something out of a story book- a log cabin, on the lake, in the mountains, with 360° views! The interior was beautifully decorated with a moose theme, and a Mountain cabin feel.
The attention to detail was amazing, with cute little signs and decorations that added to the overall ambience. There was plenty of space to socialize both inside and outside and even when it rained we loved hanging out in the house.
The home was perfectly appointed with everything we could possibly need, and included a fire pit down by the water with large comfortable chairs and wonderful stargazing!
The house has a private dock, and so we were able to launch our kayaks right from the house, which made it easy for us to get out on the lake several times a day, and we were even able to enjoy sunset out on the lake!
The beds in all of the rooms were extremely comfortable, and everyone on our trip slept very well!
There was an ample supply of towels in all of the bathrooms, and the kitchen was very well appointed
The hosts, Erin and Mike, were wonderful to work with, and got back to me immediately with answers to all of my questions, and provided extremely detailed information on location, Wi-Fi passwords, how to use the TV, everything you would want to know!
This was one of my favorite summer trips to date, and I would definitely love to stay here again!

This is our second year in a row at this property and we can't say enough good things about the house, location, and management! Great for keeping your boat in the water. We definitely plan on going back!

Very comfy well-equipped cabin. A little dark, which adds to the cabins feel, but baths could be better lit. Great waterfront and view if you like to watch marina boats coming and going, which we did. Will rent again and highly recommend for a family. Lots of stairs, but any big mountain place will.

Staying right on the lake is a very special experience, and the house, setting and location were all perfect for our weekend getaway. It was a magical time for our grandkids- ages 1-4. The cabin is just what you'd hope for in a lake house, and we'd definitely stay here again.

We had another wonderful stay at the cabin! Caught 6 huge trout off the back porch with some power bait. Loved how peaceful it is up there and the cabin is so clean! Thanks for sharing it with us and our family made so many memories.

This cabin is amazing, so cozy but spacious - it was nice for my teens to each have their own rooms for once. The owner was responsive. We had a wonderful time.

Awesome cabin in the mountains! Really enjoyed the cabin feeling and the sun room was so relaxing!

The cabin is absolutely stunning! We had a relatively large group that stayed over Christmas. It’s about 30 min drive from WinterPark. The one and only negative was there was only 2 trash bags for us to use and we cooked almost every meal so we had to haul some trash to a local dumpster, but not a huge deal. We plan to rent this cabin in the future. It was more than enough space for 5 adults and 3 kids!

Very comfy, cozy feel. would love to come back in the summer and be able to use the lake.

This log cabin is so wonderful. Looking out the living room during the day and waking up to the view was amazing. Mountains, Lake, Log Cabin...what's not to love! We had camp fires by the lake and even took a nap on vacation! So lovely!

The cabin was spacious and well appointed. We had ten people and we all fit nicely. Seems like ever window had a view of the lake. The fire pit in the back was great to gather around nightly. Walking out with immediate water access is hard to beat.
The one thing we didn’t know till we got there is that the marina next door had a dock 30 feet away. We couldn’t swim in the water right off our dock because the oil and gas drifted over. That said, we launched out water craft and headed out in the lake and had a ball.

I can't say enough good things about this property and the owners. Communication was simple and quick. The property has everything you could want. We utilized the dock to keep our boat in the water. We will definitely be back to visit this property again!

Our whole family loved this place! The home was very clean and comfortable. We loved waking up to the sounds of water and geese. The town of Grand Lake is terrific and everyone was really friendly. The home is minutes away from lots of great hiking trails and provides easy access to RMNP where we saw moose every day!

Great Property/Location/Hosts
The only negative about our stay is that we only had 2 nights. Grand Lake is a true gem, and this house is perfect. The location next to the marina is great for renting boats to explore the lakes. We really enjoyed hanging out by the firepit at night. And to put a bow on the trip, the morning of departure, a moose came swimming up right behind the house and came to sure right next to the driveway! We will definitely return to this house if we make it back to GL. Thanks, Mike and Erin!

Lovely stay
We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely log home. Yes it is dark and could use brighter lights....especially in the bathrooms. (I did put eye makeup on with a flashlight.) But the home is amazing in log detail and craftmanship. Loved the little waterfront nook to view the lake activities. Beds very comfortable. As was large overstuffed furniture.

Lovely log cabin home
While our family enjoyed our stay in general, there were some drawbacks (at least for us). The house is dark and the lamps are insufficient for reading or puzzling at night, things that our family always enjoys on vacation. The view from the cabin can't be beat. It was a bit chilly when we visited so we did not spend much time outside on the lake but it looked lovely. There are quite a few steps to get to the outside and also in the house, which is not easy for old folks. A problem for us, especially since we had small kids, was "Movie Night at the Marina" on Saturday night (the marina is right next door). A DJ starts at 7:30 after which a full length movie begins and it is LOUD! Thus, the marina next door could be an asset or drawback. The house is very well stocked and the owner was responsive.

Wonderful peaceful cabin
Such a great time and wonderful cabin! We loved fishing out back and caught several fish. The lake is beautiful and fun to watch from all the windows in the cabin. The cabin is clean and well stocked. They have everything you need to cook with and we had fun making s’mores in the fire pit.

Great place
Very clean and comfortable cabin right on Shadow Mountain Lake. We even got to ski on the lake one day before it got too warm. We enjoyed our time there. We were warned about neighbors not liking the short term rental but didn’t have issues. Not many places to park especially in winter.

Couldn’t be more pleased!
We had a fantastic stay. We were able to ski, snow tube, ice fish, and hit the hot springs. The location is breathtaking. It sits right on Shadow Mountain Lake, with a cozy sunroom overlooking the lake with the mountains in the backdrop. Stunning sunsets. The owner was very responsive and hospitable. He went above and beyond to accommodate us, definitely more than expected. Overall a wonderful stay. We will definitely stay here again.

Awsome place to stay
Only thing I would change is to tell the snow plow driver to back pull the drive way instead of shoving it down the drive. Other wise everything was amazing. Awsome home you have there. I would rent again
