About this house rental
We invite you to come experience Eagle Cove – where every day is amazing!
Whether Eagle Cove is your destination or your home-base while taking other excursions, you will find the peaceful setting and endless views spectacular. Located on the mainland in Marysville/Tulalip, there is no Ferry lines to wait in. With Seattle about a 40-mile drive south and the Canadian border about a 65-mile drive north, Eagle Cove is an ideal location.
Located in a gated community, the setting is very private. It has an awesome end of the road location with no through traffic. Stairs access the private beachfront with a great beach and no strong currents - perfect for the kids! Beachcombers can go adventuring with miles of beach to walk (depending on the tides).
Just like the name suggests…you will awe at the daily flight of the eagles, plus blue herons, red tail hawks, woodpeckers, and more feathered friends year-round. Harbor seals, otters and an occasional “pod” of porpoises can also be seen swimming in the bay.
“The whales are here; the whales are here!” Each sighting brings an excitement. During the Spring and Fall, grey whales frequent the beach in front of the house. You cannot miss their distinct “spouting” as they exhale a noisy stream that rises 10-13 feet above the water, followed by a deep, hallow echoing. It almost seems as if they are waving to you as they roll in the shallow water, dredging the bottom to feed on sand shrimp - just yards from the shoreline.
Our family has owned this beautiful beach property since 1992. We built the original home, Island View in 2000 (where we currently live) and Eagle Cove in 2005, renovating it in 2019.
Eagle Cove boasts westerly views of Port Susan, Camano Island, Whidbey Island from almost every room. The hub of the house is the main level. It offers an open concept kitchen, dining, eating nook and family room with westerly facing decks to soak in the panoramic views and access to the grassy back yard, patio, BBQ, fire pit and hot tub.
The gourmet kitchen is well equipped with two dishwashers, double oven, gas/propane cook-top, microwave oven, under-counter wine cooler, French door refrigerator and fully stocked with everything you need for preparing, serving, and enjoying your meals - besides the food. There is plenty of indoor seating for meals, board games or puzzles - the dining room seats up to 20, the breakfast nook seats 6 and there are two bar areas with stools. The family room is perfect for relaxing on the oversized sectional, while watching TV or listening to someone play a tune on the piano.
Outside has lots to offer. The beach is great for a stroll, to play in the sand and swim in the water, or just sit and enjoy the salty beach air. The front decks have an assortment of outdoor furniture for relaxing and lounging while taking in some scenic views and dynamic sunsets – keep your camera ready.
Located off the main level is activity central…the back yard! Prepare your favorite meal on the dual fuel BBQ (propane or briquet) and enjoy it outside on the furnished patio. The large level grassy area is perfect for yard games: croquet, badminton, corn hole, bocce ball, kids’ toys, sprinklers, etc. Enjoy smores and stories around the fire-pit or take a relaxing dip in the six-person hot tub overlooking the water.
Eagle Cove can comfortably sleep 20 guests in well-appointed bedrooms. Each furnished with fresh white linens, duvet covered blankets and pillows. The main level offers a primary bedroom with a private bathroom, fireplace, and direct access to one of the front decks and is great for those who do not manage stairs well. Another primary bedroom is located upstairs with a private bathroom, Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and private deck, as well as four more bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lower floor has one bedroom and an adjoining room designated as the “bunk room” with sleeping for six, an oversized sectional, TV, and a table for games or puzzles– a getaway from the main level activities.
Since 2007, we have had the pleasure of hosting groups at Eagle Cove for family gatherings, reunions, scrapbookers, quilters, private and corporate retreats, and other special events year-round; and we look forward to providing a wonderful experience for the future groups to come.
A few notes:
For the health and safety of owner's family members with severe allergies and asthma, we cannot host guests with animals of any kind. Eagle Cove is strictly a pet-free, animal-free home.

We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room in the house for our large family. Loved the location being steps from the beach. Thanks!!

The home is very beautiful with gorgeous views of the Puget Sound.
However when we arrived the weather had just turned from beautiful sunshine to fall like rainy weather. As a result the spiders decided to come in for shelter at a rate that was too uncomfortable for us so we evacuated the bottom level of the home. We also woke to water dripping from the third floor balcony into the second floor dining room. We helped to remediate the leak by pushing water off the deck until the owners were able to come by and lay tarp to stop the leaks.
Fortunately we are a glass half full family and still made the best of our time together.

Three generations, comprised of 8 adults and 6 children, met at this beautiful property to spend time together. The house provided all adults a room with a view. There was a large dining table in the dining room and another outside on the back patio to accommodate all of us, as well as a smaller table near the kitchen/family room to take care of smaller groups at breakfast. The kitchen was very well appointed. We appreciated the 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers and 2 ovens. The children of all ages loved playing in the backyard, soaking in the hot tub and exploring the waterfront.
Thank you Jeff and Donna for sharing your home with us.

Great space for a larger family reunion, my brother's family and mine all fit comfortably. Extensive kitchen supplies, lots of dishes and the bonus extra dishwasher and fridge were wonderful. Some basic seasonings were available and paper towels, but bring your own bags/wraps/disposable storage containers. Great supplies for kids (2 pack 'n plays, 2 booster seats, plastic dishes...). The house is getting some upgrades, carpets presumably will be cleaned afterwards. As clearly listed, there are a lot of stairs, both in-house and down to the beach. There is very accessible and safe play space in backyard where we held our own family Olympic games!

House was great, spacious, clean and comfortable. The view was amazing, perfect for sunset. The kitchen was the best outfitted kitchen we have seen in all of our VRBO adventures. We really enjoyed the secluded road and beach. Plenty of parking as well.

The views were beautiful and the house was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. We saw several eagles.

This property was awesome. It is a large, well-stocked house that exceeded all of the needs of the group, including a few toddlers. The stairs down to the beach are a bit challenging and in need of a hand rail, but worked great for us. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway a short ways out of Seattle.

My group and I had a amazing time. Absolutely wonderful home, hosts were extremely responsive, and the dog on the property was so sweet! Would definitely stay again.

This home was all that we needed it to be- and more! It accommodated the 17 Great Aunts, Aunts, Cousins and second cousins to a ‘T’ - for our Women’s Weekend, with room to spare. The rooms were beautiful, bathrooms a plenty, Views to die for- access to beach wonderful- even had a beautiful Eagle fly by !!
Will definitely consider to stay again!!

The property is in a beautiful setting. The water views are fabulous. It does need some TLC, but It does appear that the owners are continually making an effort to make improvements. The bathrooms and linen were immaculate which we all appreciated. We also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. The owner's dog is a sweetheart and came to visit every day. Overall, it was a wonderful few days with friends at a great location.

Great property with amazing views and access to the Puget sound. The front deck was great to be able to enjoy the weather and whale watch! There is endless beach to hike, the property was in a quiet neighborhood, and plenty of parking to accommodate all of the guests. Additionally, there was great sleeping arrangements. No complaints and would consider staying here again.

5/5 Excellent home with beautiful views. This property came just as advertised and allowed us to enjoy a great family reunion for Christmas. The bedrooms were spacious, some with gas fireplaces. The beds were very comfortable and most bedrooms have spectacular water views. The large kitchen and eating areas gave plenty of room for meals and games. The kitchen is very well appointed with plenty of dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils and tools. The double ovens and 2 dishwashers made it very easy to prepare and clean up from meals, including Christmas dinner with beef tenderloin and baked potatoes. This house is beautiful and the views are priceless!

The property was as advertised and we had a great family get together after Xmas with about 12 adults. The bedrooms were all great and slept all the couples comfortably. The nice large kitchen and eating area allowed us to all gather and play games together. The weather cooperated and we loved taking walks on the beach. Great time, great location.

Wow! I wish I could give this property more than 5 stars. The house is clean and well appointed.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans etc., which was important for our family group of 14 since we stayed for Thanksgiving.
Having 2 master suites, a double oven and 2 (count 'em, 2!) dishwashers made our nearly week-long stay with 14 adults delightful.
The views are incredible.
We're already planning when we can return.

We had 10 adults and 7 kids during our stay and there was more than enough space for everyone! The house is beautiful and the view is priceless! The home had everything we needed to cook and feed all 17 of us. We would highly recommend this home and would come back in a heartbeat!

This property was so beautiful! My family and I could not get over how beautiful the views were. We had the maximum amount of guests and we still had plenty of room. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were very comfortable. It was tricky parking with 8 cars but we made it work. We absolutely loved this property.

This was a beautiful home tucked away at the end of a street with sweeping views of Puget Sound.
Private Beach that we walked everyday was incredible. The most well equipped kitchen we ever experienced in all our years of renting homes!
Communication with the owner was excellent. The sunsets were awesome! Definitely would rent again.
Thank you for a memorable stay!

The property met our needs and expectations almost perfectly. Check in was easy. The house is large with plenty of space to spread out, even with a group of 14 adults. It was very clean and in good condition. The photos in the VRBO listing are accurate, not one of those places that turns out to be disappointing in person. The deck was amazing, with plenty of seating overlooking Port Susan. We spent a good portion of our time on the deck admiring the view, the occasional bald eagle or seal passing by. Most of the bedrooms also have views. The water is close, but it does require a little walking or stair climbing to access. My elderly father wasn’t able to make it down there.
The house was well stocked with towels, toilet paper, hand soap. The kitchen has a good assortment of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. It would have been nice had there been some of the commonly used spices, but at least there were salt and pepper. Also, there is Wifi but it was slow.
The location is great, provided you’re looking for a little seclusion. It’s about 20 minutes to the grocery store in Marysville, and at least an hour to Seattle, typically more with traffic. We made the drive a couple of times. It’s also only a couple of hours to Vancouver, BC.
The owners live next door but we hardly saw them, and because the house was in such good condition, we didn’t need to bother them. All in all, a great and relaxing stay. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Jeff and Donna.

This property was an awesome choice for our wedding party - bringing together members of our different families for a week. Guests from Germany were treated to whales, eagles and beach time, while American guests reveled in the beauty of family time, The wonderful kitchen served us well for family meals as well as some special prep for the wedding itself. Hosts were accommodating and easy-going.

The house is nice and clean and also has plenty of spaces for our family, there are beautiful views in every room, especially the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay.
5.0 / 5.0
Amazing views and location. We had a family reunion and there was plenty of room for all 20 of us with privacy when needed. The only negative thing was that there was no basic essentials provided in the bathrooms like bar soap and also no kitchen basics like oil for cooking. Otherwise, if you bring everything of your own, it’s a great, peaceful spot for a large gathering.

We had a very nice and pleasant stay at your beatifull house and location. The owners are also very friendly.

The property was nice! During our stay there was a dishwasher under repair, but gladly they had two installed so one was working so we could continue to wash dishes through the weekend. We were bummed that the hot tub wasn't totally in service, but that didn't stop us from taking in the views and enjoying our time at the property.

We had a great experience at this VRBO. The house was clean and had many amenities and conveniences. Check in/check out expectations and house rules were clearly communicated and easy to follow.
Would recommend to any large group who wants to enjoy the beautiful pnw especially during this time. We saw whales, seals, otters, and a bald eagle 🦅

This was an amazing house with beautiful views and all the comforts of home. We arrived during some stormy weather to find the house had lost power. The owner provided a generator and kept checking in to make sure we had what we needed until the power came back on. Definitely would rent this home again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better house for our large group. Multiple areas for us to gather and so many fantastic amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and would come back!

Our group of 15 had a wonderful time on this beautiful property. It is at the end of the road, so you won't have any cars driving by and very few people on the beach. The large kitchen with 2 dishwashers were perfect for cooking big family meals. There is a huge table for 15+ on one side of the kitchen, and a large living space, additional table and an amazing patio on the other side ... all with amazing views of the water. The floorplan is designed to give most of the bedrooms a view (and balcony access). And the large family room downstairs with bunks, couch and television was perfect for the 4 teens in our group. I'd absolutely recommend this property and hope to stay there again down the road.

We stayed 2 nights with 14 people overnight and 4 people who came for a day trip and there was plenty of room. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, roomy, stocked kitchen, great backyard with wood firepit and bbq and a large deck with a great view. Great downstairs rec room for the kids (or otherwise) to escape and have a space of their own.
Somewhat easy trek to the beach, but not for my 85 year old mom. During low tide plenty of beach to walk and explore.
No regrets on renting this house and would do it again.

Jeff and Donna were the most wonderful hosts. Their home was perfectly appointed for a weekend getaway with friends with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend their home!
5.0 / 5.0
The home was perfect for our extended family stay. The communication from the owners was efficient and timely. The property was well cared for, updated, and fully outfitted. It made our stay exceptional. Although the AC was not working and the hot tub wouldn't heat, the owners provided alternatives that kept us comfortable. I'm sure they will be updating those items in due course. Overall, we'd give the home and proprietors five stars.

This was a great space for a large group. My daughter was getting married nearby, and the family stayed here. We fit 11 adults comfortably, and I can see that the family room would be a fabulous place for a bunch of kids. We loved the endless views. The relatives from the desert especially appreciated the water views.

We had a BEAUTIFUL weekend and were so grateful to have found such a wonderful property to house this group! I am getting married in a couple of week and we gathered friends and family to celebrate as people started coming into town. There was more than enough room for everyone. The views and sunsets were absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is incredible with everything you'd need to feed a crowd. Within the first few hours of our arrival a gray whale was just off the beach at high tide shrimping. It was incredible for friends who do not live on this side of the state!
Would definitely rent this home again for family or friends.
Thank you for such a great stay!

We enjoyed our trip immensely! Thank you Jeff and Donna! Your home is wonderful, clean, and we soaked in the gorgeous views! We were lucky enough to watch a bald eagle in tree next to us on front balcony as well as do some whale watching! Wonderful trip! We can't wait to be back.

My family and I stayed at this lovely location for a week in mid-summer 2022. It’s a large house with lots of bedrooms and perfect for a family get together.
Things I liked:
* great location - many rooms have great views of the water, beach is fun for walking at low tide
* lots of indoor and outdoor places to gather - yard, fire pit, balconies, living room
* extra fridge was helpful
* owner was responsive even if he was not able to fix the heat pump
Things that could be improved:
* air conditioning/heat pump didn’t work, owner said it had been “tripped” and would be repaired (but not while we were there)
* hot tub is old, many jets don’t work
* cookware was old, peeling Teflon
* outdoor structures are weathered/worn, in need of some paint and TLC
Overall I would stay here again, pluses outweigh downsides.

The house was perfect for our large group (10 adults, 5 kids). Plenty of space - both inside and out. The deck was amazing and the dining table was able to seat us all together! The kitchen has everything you would need to serve that many - including two dishwashers - which was a huge help! Jeff and Donna were responsive and helpful! Would stay again!

Upon arrival, a very warm welcome indeed, with music and fresh flowers to start our stay.
The house was well appointed, clean, kitchen well equipped with dishes, pots, pans bowls, everything needed for a dutiful cook.
Rooms and bathrooms well equipped with comforts of home.
For our crowd of 12 adults and 3 children , space for privacy and comfort was excellent.
The beach access I would rate "fair". It was a challenge to walk down on the stone steps, especially for the children and older adults.
Only comment I would like to add is.. please a new pair of scissors in the kitchen knife block.
Overall ....we had four splendid day of celebration in this beautiful home. Great time was had by all! Thank you!
