Enjoyed our stay . Very nice property and “‘extras” provided . Some confusion on parking and sleeping arrangements with the space listed but all ended up being fine. Overall , great stay .,

we love this place :-) stayed for five weeks two years ago and it was perfect. We came back again just for a weekend and it was perfect, again!

Laura’s place is wonderful. Talk about everything and anything you need in one home. We went with two small kids and they loved it. We walked around the city, which was walking distance from her house, and had a blast. You could literally just come into the home with nothing and have everything ya needed.
Will stay again next year on our way to Hilton head!

Wonderful host. Provided many amenities including fully equipped kitchen, complimentary snacks, toiletries, etc. Nice cozy, traditional, homey and comfortable place but not luxurious.

Loved walking around the neighborhood. We were there in February and none of the fountains were running but the yards and parks were still beautiful. Would love to see it in the spring. House was the best supplied house I have ever stayed at. Comfortable beds and very clean

Perfect spot for attending events at the Spectrum Center or Panthers Stadium. Its a short 15 min walk to Spectrum. Several restaurants and bars nearby.
The house is very clean, extremely well stocked, and the beds are comfortable.
Highly recommend!

We recently moved away from Charlotte after being there for 8 years. We miss it dearly. This home is the perfect location for us as we visit friends and places we fell in love with. This trip was a dentist trip that turned into a night out at Spectrum for the Doja Cat concert. The home location is wonderful because it is walking distance from most main locations in Uptown and Tupelo Honey, where we use to work! Felt great to walk down the road and see everyone! The house itself is very private and set up perfectly! Overall, the trip was amazing! We hope to come back soon!

Nice location in the Fourth Ward of Uptown Charlotte. Easy walking distance to many of the attractions on Tryon Street. The host did a great job prior to check in and made sure that all the necessary details were communicated.

Loved it! Here are a few highlights / clarifications of other reviews we read before going -
* I was worried street parking was going to be stressful but it was not at ALL. It was easy and convenient!
* another review used “dated” to describe bathrooms and this isn’t accurate in my view. Shower was glorious and all four of us showered in a row and hot water was great.
* before I got there, I was perplexed as to how this floor plan could possibly sleep 8, turns out there are air mattresses and the sofa bed downstairs. We didn’t need them but there is indeed plenty of room!
* the bedrooms are adjoined; but they are actually larger than what the pictures look like, in my opinion. It felt spacious.
* there was lots of storage space in the bedrooms too. Not cramped at all.
* kitchen was lovely / adorable / stocked. My kids raided the snacks immediately on arrival.
* not sure whether this was mentioned anywhere; there doesn’t seem to be any ice, but there are bags of the ice stones you can use to cool drinks down.
* I cannot overemphasize the great location. The grocery store is very convenient and even walkable, as is everything else. We are sabbath-observant and limit our activities on Saturdays. The kids walked to multiple parks, got to see free museums, played in fountains / splash pads … it was a blast.
* the veranda is a shared space with the owner - careful, the kitchen door handle can lock you out and you’ll have to walk around.
Thanks so much!!!

We were part of a theater tour and spent a week at Laura's house. The location is perfect for downtown, it's a 10 minute walk to the restaurant/theater. The neighborhood is safe and clean.
The house itself was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and had everything we needed for the kitchen. Laura provided cleaning supplies for our stay also which was a big help. I also liked the way Laura checked in with us during our stay (via VRBO messaging) to see if we needed anything.
I would absolutely use this house again the future. Thank you Laura for making it a home away from home for us

I travel a lot for work and I have to say, this property was the most well equipped spot I’ve ever stayed! Also, there were tons of thoughtful surprises throughout :) ( like slippers!). I will absolutely stay again next time in Charlotte! Thank you Laura!

This place was perfect for our little family getaway. The hostess was so nice and was so quick in communication if we had any questions. The home was cozy and had all of the necessary items needed if you wanted to stay in and cook dinner for your family before taking a stroll on the city streets. The outdoor covered porch provided a nice place to chill out and listen to the city noises after the kiddos went to bed. This will be the place we stay at if we ever go back to Charlotte, hands down.

It was a great experience with this property. The house was clean, as described in the listing, and with plenty of amenities to feel comfortable staying there. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Communication was easy, with quick responses.
Only downsides (which aren’t reason to avoid this listing) is the front door lock took some messing around with to figure out how to lock it (unlocking was no issue), and the bedrooms upstairs share a walkthrough separated by sliding doors. Some people might not be comfortable with that but it wasn’t an issue for us and the other couple we stayed with.
All in all, highly recommend this location!

Great location!!!!
We had girl’s weekend to see Kenny Chesney!!
Awesome location!
Could walk to and from Bank of America stadium easily. This house was just blocks from all the restaurants too! Laura was easy to get a hold of if we had any questions.

Memorable birthday in Fourth Ward
Well stocked home. Even had drinks & snacks if needed! Great location, but close to seedy gas station and homeless housing, so be aware! Close to great restaurants, rooftop bars, dancing! Great for a girls night uptown celebration…..house is set up for a giant slumber party! Bathrooms are dated, but doable. Overall a great experience!

Perfect Charlotte Rental!
Laura is an exceptional host, and this property is perfectly located! A beautiful neighborhood within walking distance to so many great places. The care she goes through to ensure your stay is just as expected was much appreciated. All of the little details is where she TRULY shines: snacks, drinks, toiletries, robes and slippers. She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! I’ll be frequenting Charlotte for work more often and will definitely use her place again.

Great for a small family
Laura provided a bunch of baby extras for our stay with an infant that made our lives so much easier. The place was nice, clean and cozy - not to mention walkable to the baseball stadium and most of our other destinations.

Musty smelling house, host stole damage deposit.
Flight landed 40 min early, made great time from the airport and arrived at house 40 min early. Entered house and had a question for Laura the owner. When I sent her a text she flew off the handle that we had arrived early. I sincerely apologized. I meant no disrespect to her or her property. My sincere apology was not calming her down. She sent additional condescending texts. I took the high road rather then engaging. Moving on to the house itself... pretty dated but overall in pretty good shape except that neither bathrooms had working fans, shower door leaked and required towels to prevent puddle on floor and there was a very strong musty odor on second floor.
Location can’t be beat. Very charming quite neighborhood within walking distance to everything.
Check Out was interesting. Laura decided to keep $150 of the Damage Deposit. Her rational in the description she provided indicated that one of the toilets was not flushed (Gross!!) there were glasses left in kitchen, we arrived 40 min early and we used 14 towels. I guess showering isn’t allowed. So there was no actual damage that occurred. Not a single spill, didn’t touch the thermostat, didn’t break any house rules. She incurred $0 in additional costs yet felt she could cheat/con/steal an arbitrary amount of $150.

Awesome location, comfortable and clean. Very nice, safe neighborhood. Great to walk in.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying in Laura’s home! Would definitely stay here again. We parked our car for the weekend and walked to restaurants, stores and to the Spectrum for CIAA basketball festivities. Could not have picked a better space or location. We were very pleased!
