Everything was great. George was an excellent communicator and very responsive. Location was perfect. The beach felt private without a lot of people and perfectly in the middle of fun! Only 20 minutes from Downtown Galveston and 20 minutes from Surfside.

The living space had great seating and a gorgeous view. We loved our stay here.

We stayed here about five years ago with 3 school age kids. Now we have a 17,15,11 year old and 5 month old. The house was super clean and right on the beach. There was something for everyone. The older kids liked being able to walk to the beach by themselves. I liked being able to see them on the beach while holding a sleeping baby in the living room or on the new deck. We did nightly beach trips with nets & flash lights to see what we could “catch”. The kitchen had enough dishes and pots & pans for our family of six to make & eat dinner every night. My older kids loved being upstairs. They’d either pile into the queen bed and watch tv together or spread out on their own bunk beds for some quiet alone time. There’s a little convenience store across the street with some basic groceries- higher priced than the dollar general down the road or Walmart even further away, but the convenience when we realized we were missing an item or two was worth it.
A couple tips for those traveling with kids: the deck isn’t covered so if you have a little one, bring an umbrella or something for some shade. There also isn’t a direct path from outside to the deck. So when we came in from the beach, we’d hose off downstairs & then had to walk thru the house to put wet shoes on the deck to dry. A towel or mat for the floor to catch the drips and sand is helpful. Bug spray for the mosquitoes you’ll pass on the way to the beach is a must too.
Loved the house and hope to return soon!

We really enjoyed our time at this property.
Right on the gulf, quiet street, and pet friendly.
Management was Very responsive to all communication. The home was very clean and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and the layout and feel of the home was welcoming.
Would recommend.

This is a lovely beachfront house on a less populated area of the island. The house is well maintained and very nicely decorated and equipped. The air conditioners also work really well which is very important in Galveston. The owner is very nice and communicative. We were in touch via email well before our visit. Will keep this place in mind for future visits. Thank you for being such a great host and for having this place available for vacation rental!

The property was very clean, prepared and perfect for my friends and I for a quick weekend getaway. It was well above our expectations and definitely referred to my parents and other friends for anniversary getaways or family beach stays any many more. Highly recommend this place, don’t think just book it!!

We had a small group of family & friends, we wanted some place quiet; this place was perfect. The home was clean, it had what we needed & close to the water. Everyone enjoyed sitting on the deck & walking on the beach. Very enjoyable trip.

Absolutely lovely home nestled along the beach. We were looking for a quiet beach getaway and were truly pleased with the home, it amenities, beach proximity and privacy, and ease of access to other areas of interest between Galveston and Treasure Island. Remarkable location with nearly private beach enjoyment. Great communication from the owner, and we will definitely return for future visits. Thank you so much!

We loved the beach house. The location is fairly secluded, so you can (unofficially) run your dog off-leash, at times. The new back/side porch was very relaxing, with excellent views of the beach/ocean! There were plenty of nice plastic chairs to lounge on. It would be nice to have some spices available in the kitchen. The most challenging part about the house is the 6-inch drop-off from the kitchen to the living area. Also, the 6-inch drop-off on the side porch. The 1.5-year-old child fell a few times. All of the adults tripped, except one, several times. Putting three pieces of painter's tape does not suffice. My 59-year-old wife fell on the side-porch and fractured a couple of ribs, along with bruising her left arm. I am able to help with the pain because I am a Chiropractor trained in functional taping. It has been very challenging for her to sleep, but she will feel better soon. You could consider placing a long, narrow rug at the lower level of the living space to differentiate the levels. On the side-porch, you could place an outdoor mat on the lower level. Also, you could use a product called non-slip outdoor stair treads (in different colors). Other than this, I would have given a rating of 5. My son slept in one of the upstairs' bedrooms. He stated that his bathroom towels were not cleaned, however the towels in the lower bathroom were cleaned. The storm, electronic shutters are an excellent idea. The check-in/check-out process was very efficient.

Property was so amazing. Great location. House was perfect, I wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and be back again. We had absolutely no complaints about a single thing.

Loved the location and cleanliness. Communication with manager was great.

The house was exactly as listed! Clean, well stocked and right on the beach! My family had an amazing time. We will definitely stay again.

The property manager was responsive and accommodating. The property itself has the most beautiful views and is only a few steps from the beach. The downstairs living area is large and we appreciated the large dining table for our group of 6. We had an excellent time and would stay here again.

And the house was very nice. The owner was very easy to communicate with and the home is well stocked with a nice yard and balcony. And did we mention the view.

To start with few positives -
The location and view from living room / porch is amazing. It's right on the beach, just few steps away.
The living room and master bedroom was in good condition.
Lots of board games for kids, adults for entertainment.
Parking is enough for 2 cars (it's not covered though). The area on the ground is good, we enjoyed that one with soothing sound of waves.
Now some major concerns we had -
The biggest concern is hygiene - we stayed with children and seeing really big cockroaches in the kitchen area is the worst thing. Not sure if it's getting cleaned properly after every stay.
The house is pretty old including old appliances, old furniture and it needs to be upgraded. Bathrooms are old fashioned too.
There were no supplies for pantry, very limited toiletries (only a single toilet paper roll is not what you expect when you book the house for 8 adults).
The host mentioned the house is for 10, but we thought the max occupancy is 6/7 because of very compact bedrooms upstairs. The queen bed was not comfortable too.
You will feel the house wobbles or moves like a pendulum when someone is walking or climbing the stairs on the second floor.
Unless you're a small group and ready to adjust with the cons, we wouldn't recommend it!

Great location , i would definitely rent it again.

Enjoyed our stay. Owners were super accommodating and quick to respond to our questions. Home was clean, well supplied, and the location was great. A few steps from the water. Location was quiet and pleasant. Will definitely reserve this home again without question.

We had a great time celebrating a 60 & 80 bdays. Well equipped kitchen. The home looked exactly as the pictures. Very comfortable for 8 people and our pooch. 🐶
The deck very nice with beautiful ocean views. Thanks to George our host very accommodating.

Great option to fully enjoy our beautiful Gulf of Mexico! The direct beach access was amazing. Although the beach is public, driving is not allowed on it and there were rarely many other folks nearby. It's only a short drive back into heart of Galveston, but you're far enough out for a feeling of seclusion and privacy. Great property and location!

This home was perfect for my family of 4 adults and 2 small children. Path to beach was short and convenient — can’t beat the location. Plenty of counter and cabinet space in kitchen…the fridge is spacious and made tons of ice…very functional and well equipped! The owner is very responsive and proactive. Would rent this property again!

Beautiful property with all amenities you would need to relax and enjoy the Gulf Coast. Great parking, quick walk to the beach to enjoy the warm waters, easy to find, with a lot of cute shops to pick up groceries, a quick bite, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will keep the property in mind if we venture back to the Gulf Coast!
4.8
Very nice property, clean, as advertised and sleeping arrangements and bathrooms met our needs with 6 adults and one child.
The only item that made a little annoyance was the neighbors dogs started to bark between 5 and 6 am every day. This is obviously out of the owner’s control but worth a note.

Our family really enjoyed our week on the beach! The house was very comfortable and clean. Awesome views of the gulf, easy access to the beach, and good, clear communication from the owner. A few more bath towels would've been nice (only 4 provided and there were 6 of us) but we made do. There is a washing machine/dryer conveniently located in the kitchen, just bring with or buy laundry detergent. We shopped downtown on Strand St, personally, I liked the downtown shops over Murdocks (overpriced). We also went to Pleasure Pier, which was nice but we could've done without and saved some money. The beach was wonderful! Not crowded at all. It is about 15-20 minute drive back into town where there is a Walmart/kroger/target. Overall, the property was great! We made ourselves at home and enjoyed a very relaxing week on the beach!!

Nice house. Needs a little work but comfortable. Deck is in need of repairs and not good for little dogs or small kids. Beach view is amazing and a short walk to a fairly private beach. Would stay again.
4.8
A lot of repair men, the view is awesome

Our stay was awesome and the location was great. The only issues we had was the blinds didn't work in the main bedroom and several lighting issues in the living room and outside on the upper deck. Overall, it was great and plan to be back.
Thank you!!

We enjoyed our 3 day weekend.

The location was perfect. We were away from the crowds and right on the ocean. It was a vert comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

This is a great place to stay! Adequately stocked with everything you need! Great location! Would definitely stay here again!

Property was in need of TLC. Paint was rusting, peeling in kitchen, no handrail for the last 3-4 steps up to the front door, couldn’t open/close kitchen window …..lots of minor things.
View and beach access were great. Owner was very accessible when I contacted him before our stay.
4.8
We stayed for 4 nights, it was great being right by the ocean. My family and our friends really enjoyed it. The owner was great in communicating and resolving a minor issue.
4.8
Stayed 3 nights. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and traveling to town (20 min) for dinner. House is right on the beach - very little traffic on the beach and easy to walk out to. Some traffic on the road that can be heard from the bedrooms, but a sound app covered it up.
The couches in the living room were very comfortable. There are tvs in the downstairs bedroom and the family room. Not sure about the upstairs. Both tvs downstairs have bluray players.
What we liked best about the house were the big windows and the dining table by the windows. The automatic shades were nice. But the home could use some updating and a thorough cleaning.
The listing says three bathrooms but I didn't read it closely enough to see that the 3rd bathroom is an outdoor shower. There is a bedroom downstairs with a king bed and a bathroom and upstairs is a bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a bedroom with a queen bed, with a bathroom in between them.
There is a step down from the kitchen to the living room. It is marked but still easy to trip over - we put a couple chairs against it to remind us of it.
Owner was very easy to contact and replied to a request for more sheets quickly. Be aware that you may be required to sign an additional lease agreement and submit your ID after you have reserved.

We loved our short time here. Very clean. George was helpful on the check-in and check-out process and answered all of our questions. Right on the beach, had everything we needed, small grocery store across the street, great place for our family of 7.
