Everything was lovely from the host to the comfort
Unfortunately during the night the slats came away from the bed where me and my partner had to sleep on the mattress on the floor but that is not fault to the owners

Owner met us to say hello. Facilities offered everything we needed and was great value for money
Only the weather, but that's hardly the owners fault!! :)

Rural location
Freedom to come and go.
Location, lovely village, and great accommodation.
It suits us great when we visit the area a couple of times per year.
Used to use B&B, but this is better for us.
Lack of kitchen ware. i.e., cooking dishes, kitchen equipment. Could benefit from more cookware. Baking dishes.
Suggest not using as much bleach when cleaning, as smell was strong when we arrived.

Lovely little cottage ,nice location. Had everything we needed for the night , comfortable bed ,washer, WiFi, well equipped. Owner was friendly . Garden is lovely nice wee space for the dogs. Owner was very prompt at replying to any issues ,thumbs up from us . Loo roll provided , laundry powder, dish soap etc all essentials covered. Thank you :)
Just a few things for the owner to note , these did not effect our stay .
- shower runs when you flush loo.
- WiFi password could be printed , we had an issue deciphering your handwriting.
- cleanliness was good overall ,bathroom could do with the grout getting some attention.
-garden being enclosed would be such a good thing with being near the road?
-Cottage was very hot with windows open . Fans could be a shout ?

quiet and peaceful nobody bothered us

Decent space, modern kitchen and bathroom.
Very much in the village centre.
The bedroom, sitting, and dining area (of the kitchen) are tired and need refreshing.
Quirky decor such as car numberplates hung on the walls not to my taste, but they could be for others.
The cottage is basically in the back garden, which is a bit like Steptoes' yard, so we wouldn't have sat out there even if it had been nice weather.

lovely village . Good for dog walks . Nice and quiet. Host very welcoming . Heating was just right and hot water much appreciated for shower etc
Could do with more crockery and cutlery . A general tidy up outside but reasons given for that

It was self catering, which I like for myself and my dog. It was dog friendly. The property had been renovated nicely and was ample big enough. John the host lives on site and was very much wanting me to have a good stay. He was welcoming and helpful, but also receptive to suggestions to make Garden Cottage even better.
I felt it could have done with a few more basics in the kitchen to make it easier to be self catering, and I found the overall temperature slightly more chilled than I would have liked, but I had been outside all day so wasn’t warm anyway. But I am nit picking.

The location was great for us taking a break in our journey to Norfolk.
The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. The shower room is fab.
We loved the quirky yet curated furniture and decor.
John was there on arrival for a chat

Set in a lovely village within easy walking distance from the local pub and village shop.
Pleasant host and gorgeous dog Jess.
Spacious kitchen.
It had everything we needed for one nights stay.
Easy, hassle free booking.
It was cold and uninviting, too much like a bachelor pad for my taste and missing the ‘womens touch’
The bathroom felt like a cold cave and the brown towels made it look dirty.
The sugar jar and complimentary sugar in the kitchen need replacing.
The garden is like a scrapyard although it does have some quirky features.
We did wonder if the host once worked for Coast Radio as there is an over kill of Coast Radio posters and car number plates in the lounge.
I wouldn’t want to stay more than one night.

Nice quiet location with plenty of privacy. Host was very welcoming and allowed me to bring my dogs. Facilites were good and generally a very comfortable stay.
Wifi was a bit sketchy at time but that could be the area as I had the same issue wtih my phone network.

This was a return visit so I liked it well enough. Everything was fine though there is a known problem with the noises the plumbing makes at times. Otherwise a well placed cottage in a quiet location with everything you need for a short stay.

Lots of space inside. Clean and easy to check in and out. Comfy sofa.
No blind or curtain on front door which was glazed and see through but only led to a kitchen so may not bother some people. Floor was cold as no rugs and all tiled. Although there was underfloor heating in bathroom which was nice.

Comfortable, sufficient space, warm and well located. Parking right outside the cottage. Dog friendly as we had a dog with us. Around 100 yards from a friendly local pub with other shops in the village for essentials. Owner was on hand if we needed anything but in the end we didn't. Also very good value especially as we were able to book for 4 nights midweek.
Nothing comes to mind

A really well designed self contained unit. Spacious and light. It was warm and comfortable, nice shower room, big TV, WiFi fine and had pretty much everything you could want for a few days away. Helpringham itself was a nice little village and there were 2 shops literally two minutes away. The host was friendly and helpful too. Massive plus for me was that the cottage was dog friendly.
Maybe a few more items in the kitchen department, but having said that, I managed to cook everything I wanted to.
