A stunningly beautiful little cottage. Tastefully and sympathetically decorated. Well appointed with cooking, cleaning and washing materials. Fresh flowers had been left for us! Set over three floors: lovely twin at the top; double on first floor. Spotlessly clean. Would stay again and again. Lovely quiet location with easy access to Whernside and Ribblehead. Good communication with host.
If anything (and these are small points) it's worth knowing that it's small nature means that the dining table is a pull out affair which was a bit of a nuisance: but that is just the nature of a small cottage. My wife was a little cold (but often is!). Be aware that a deposit is required.

Lovely cottage. Handy for the three peaks challenge. Perfect for what we wanted.

The cottage is lovely, comfortable couch and wood-burner. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and has a great shower. The kitchen has all necessities and a great view on the quiet street. Bedding and towels were soft and wonderful. Small village is pretty and quiet. Great walks from the village. We highly recommend the nearby Yorkshire dairy farm for great local cheeses and great advice.

Perfect for our mini break everything was spot on - so cosy, quiet location but plenty to drive to around the area.

Cute little cottage. Particularly liked the upstairs, good sized bedroom, comfy bed, plenty of hanging space (we'd packed for all weathers). Good sized bathroom, shower was good (over bath). Bit of a step in and out.
Nice location in pretty community. Wi-fi v good.
This is more what would have made our stay more enjoyable - Metal table & chairs outside front of cottage . We found them heavy, difficult to move (stuck in ground), The weather was so lovely it would have been very nice to start the day with a coffee outside and an evening drink. There are cushions in the kitchen, we still found it uncomfortable.
Gill the owner published a response to our review and mentioned it was a shame that we did not notify her that a glass coffee jar had got broken. If she had checked with us first we would have confirmed that we absolutely had no accidents resulting in breaking a glass coffee jar, and did not notice a broken one. We actually took our coffee machine/eco pods from home and used our own supplies. When I let Gill know she mentioned she'd been away for a few weeks and this was the feedback from the maintenance company.
I assumed that Gill would remove the comments about broken glass jar that was nothing to do with us. Gill's response was that she could say the same regarding our feedback and score. Sense that 8 Very good wasn't well received.
I don't want to turn this into a negative, we enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Won't be responding to any further comment.

pleasant, comfortable, in a quiet village. quaint and authentic. beautiful walks all around, and the lake district only an hour away.
the cottage was cold upon arrival (electrical blackout earlier in the day, and no one set things up after it). the refrigerator was warm as it was not set to work prior to our arrival, but it cooled in the next few hours. (only our frozen food was destroyed. we were cold during our whole stay (10 days), as owner set temp. on too low for us, and never got it fixed even though she came several times to "set it better".
the "fire place" was a tiny iron one, the wood fast burning, and thus was not helpful.
the refrigerator was too small for us.

Westside Cottage is delightful, it had everything we needed and more! Lovely surprise to spot sheep grazing throughout the day right by the lounge window. Very clean and comfortable, home from home. It was perfect location for us, in close proximity to the Yorkshire Dales national park. We enjoyed our days exploring Ingleborough cave and nature trail and Ingleborough summit which the dogs loved! Thank you Gill for being an amazing host taking care of every detail.
nothing we did not like

The location was lovely. We used it as a base to do the Ingleton waterfall trail and the 3 peaks challenge.
It was a perfect place to relax in. Really clean and tidy cottage with a cosy living room and fire.
The beds were really comfortable and the house was well equipped.
The owner was so helpful with everything and quick to respond to any query we had.
Lovely places nearby - would recommend courtyard dairy if you’re a cheese fan!
As mentioned in other comments the heating isn’t to be altered so it got warm at points and meant we just opened the windows. Not a problem but felt bad on wasting electricity.
The hot water also dipped a bit after the first person. This wasn’t a massive deal as the hot water through the shower head on the bath still worked but just meant sitting down.
Nothing to do with the property or the owner but if you are planning to go for dinner a lot of the pubs stop serving food at 8pm. We were caught off guard as we got back from a walk , had a shower then missed out on dinner.

this cottage was such a sweet little escape, the house was beautiful. we absolutely loved having a fire on in the evenings and cooking in the kitchen which was well equipped. we were originally worried we wouldn’t be near any food shops but just a few minutes down the road there’s shops, pubs and takeaways. would definitely recommend staying here for a lovely escape and the host Gill is so lovely and accommodating!
nothing :)

Quaint, cosy and contained. It had everything we needed for a relaxing break.
It isn’t a negative- just a note to make people aware. The shower is in the bath and has a high step in, not great for the less mobile.

The location was perfect for us and the rooms worked well as our kids loved the top bedroom.

Beautiful cottage. Stunning quiet location
Just a few minor details. Not enough hot water for the 3 of us, was freezing and had to reset which then only came warm for a few minutes. One sachet of tea and coffee each despite telling us it was provided and multiple almost empty shower gel bottles. Be sure to take own washing up liquid and kindling!

The cottage is absolutely stunning, it had everything you could need and more. The furniture was really comfy - I had the best nights sleep and it wasn't too far from where we needed to be and the local coop for supplies.
The only thing we felt a little nervous about is there was a lot of ornaments which we were worried about knocking over but the property was decorated beautifully.

Well equipped, warm and comfortably cottage. Great communication with owners. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of the country.

The location was very pretty and quiet. Very rural with lots of fields and sheep. Seating in the front garden as no back garden, but didn’t feel uncomfortable, we sat and had coffee most days there. Didn’t really see or hear the neighbours, but anyone we saw was smiley and friendly. We had milk, tea and coffee and washing up items, toilet paper already provided which was great. A local garage shop was about a 10 min drive away and the nearest small village about 15 mins. We had a small issue which the owner sorted very quickly and was very helpful. We ate out every day and the food at each local pub was excellent. Pies bought at the country store we’re fab - a lovely selection of food to buy as well as lovely cafe food.

We loved the cosy cottage, perfect for our weekend away exploring the caves and waterfalls in the nearby village of Ingleton.
