The cottage is perfect, our 2nd visit here and we just wished we could have stayed for longer. Cleanliness, comfort, facilities all spot on. The hot tub is a fab bonus to have, and we loved the new paddock for our little dog

We absolutely loved our stay at Salt Pot Cottage and would highly recommend it. The cottage was beautiful and finished to an incredibly high specification. It was a great size for two adults, one child and a small dog (with an extra space for a second child). The beds were comfy and the black-out blinds ensured we (and our son) were able to have nice relaxed mornings rather than the usual early start. There is so much to do in the surrounding area; with us visiting Skipton, hiking Malham Cove, riding the Embsay steam train, sailing on a barge up the Skipton canal and picnicking at Bolton Abbey. As someone who was born in the area but moved away the cottage was in a great location and it was nice to revisit all the fond places from my childhood. The hot tub also offered beautiful views and it was nice to watch the sun set over the mountains and stargaze when darkness set in. The hosts were great and met us on arrival and we had such a lovely time and already can't wait to go back. Thanks so much A+++++

Super clean and fresh accomodation. Beautiful setting. Amazing hot tub!
It would have been nice to perhaps have one or two extras ... An extra loo roll, extra bin liner and even a couple of tea bags and a small amount of instant coffee.
Only little things but helpful to have.

The house was impeccably clean and spacious - we kept mentioning throughout the stay. The underfloor heating was a proper treat and much appreciated as the stormy weather made for some wet walks! The furniture was modern, very comfortable and in good condition. It was a very pleasant place to be, inside and around the cottage. The hot tub was ready for us on arrival and a wonderful addition! Sitting in the hot tub with 3c winds gusting all around while the stars shone above was an exciting experience to be treasured, if a little mad! The views from the front and back were very impressive even when the weather was horrific - you can see for miles and miles. Each bedroom had climate control and the linen and towels were well cared for. Salt, pepper, cleaning supplies and limited tea making supplies were available. The surrounding villages and countryside were wonderful. We can't wait to go back! Thank you so much for providing a memorable holiday for us.
The charge for a dog is £10 per night, which was a little more than expected. The kitchen bin was small, especially for a group of four adults who cooked at the property for two nights. It would be lovely if the kitchen had some cooking oil, a few more tea bags, maybe a couple of condiment sachets and possibly some kitchen roll available. The fridge door didn't close easily and neither did the extractor fan, but these are the only problems we came across! The only last thing I would recommend is to bring earplugs if the weather may be windy during your stay. We slept in the upstairs bedroom and I didn't get much sleep on the first night as the stormy winds battering the house were very loud, in addition to the noise of the wind turbine which could be heard loudly in the downstairs bedroom. We completely understand the weather cannot be controlled - the views were very dramatic and I wouldn't change the location of the cottage (on a hilltop) for the world - just wish we'd brought ear plugs!

Location was great for us, we had a wedding to go to. Facilities were excellent, loved the space, the bedroom upstairs was gorgeous
We could have done with towels for the hot tub, as we had to use same towels for showers next morning

A beautiful, characterful and well appointed cottage with everything we needed in a stunning location. Close to the village of Cononley with wonderful walking opportunities all around, and only a short drive to Skipton and Keighley and many attractions in the area. We would highly recommend this cottage for a quiet, lazy break or as a base for exploring the beautiful Airedale Valley. Thank you to Helen and Patrick. We hope to return soon!
There is nothing not to like about Salt Pot Cottage really!

I did not expect to be kept awake by the hosts party until the early hours on the last night of our stay. Prior to our stay this had been described to us as a garden party in the afternoon/ evening, which is not an accurate description of the inebriated singing past midnight that we had to endure. Had we have known this beforehand we could have approached the hosts to amend the booking and left a night earlier. It does not work to have a drunken party and rent out the properties, it should be one or the other. The host did turn off the music when I asked, but I do not think I should have to ask this at 1am. There are notices in the property asking guests to be quiet after 10pm out of respect for other guests, would be nice if the hosts obeyed their own rules.
