The quiet location, the beautiful views of the lake, the space it offered, plenty of walks in the area, 10 minute drive to a picturesque golf course, an excellent base for touring the area.
Sloping roofs in a part of the house upstairs - not ideal for the taller ones in our family.

Lovely house in a fantastically scenic location overlooking the loch. Perfect social areas for a group of friends or family and ample kitchen and dining space for a large group. 4 well sized bedrooms, two doubles and two twin rooms. The location is within a short drive from many scenic walks and local amenities in Killin. The living room / lounge was a particular favourite of ours with a warming fire. Elizabeth was a very responsive and accommodating host, making everything easy and stress free.
Only one shower had hot water for the duration of our stay but Elizabeth could not have been more helpful and even arranged for an electrician to come and look at it. Only one firelighter per fire was provided, other visitors should bring their own. The dishwasher is quite poor and most dishes required two cycles.

Location superb. Great views across Loch Earn and many beautiful walks nearby. Bedrooms and beds lovely. Very nice formal dining room, but roomy kitchen with big dining table was a bonus. As was the games room for keeping younger guests occupied! Hard to quibble with anything.

I have stayed here for a week because I’ve been working in Killin 15 minutes away. The house is wonderful. Everything you can possibly need is there. Beds are comfortable. TVs are good. Kitchen is kitted out with everything. I especially liked the decor in the dining room. I would definitely recommend this place. I’m working in the same place next week.. and I’ve booked the same property. Thanks to the team there. House was extremely clean.
If I have to find a fault, I could possibly say the internet could do with being a little more stable as we had a period of 12-16 hours without internet but luckily it was at night so we were going to sleep anyway. The showers could be more powerful. Honestly though this wasn’t a massive issue at all, the showers are still useable it’s just personal preference.

Perfect combination of a large traditionally built country home but with superb heating and comfort. The kitchen in particular is fantastically kitted out whereas often holiday homes will not have decent knives and cooking equipment. We live quite close to the area and would normally not have rented something so huge but almost all the smaller sized detached holiday homes across Scotland were all booked up during half term school holidays. Turned out to be a lucky break as it was a fabulous house. Given the Covid restrictions, only one family or extended household group at a time can use the property. The owners check that multiple households / groups are not renting it. The house is thoroughly cleaned and aired between guests. The views are incredible, especially autumn colour. Walks all around - the railway path is perfect and starts just almost at the garden. Outdoor swimmers have access to Loch Lubnaig and Loch Earn. Lots of villages (and Callander) for cafes, take away restaurant food, and Hansen's deli and the Tea Garden in Comrie are a must.

Wonderful property with so many thoughtful touches which really made it easy and comfortable for us all (ie fully stocked selection of coffee pods for the coffee machine) - house and grounds fantastic space for our big family get-together!
