It's time to kick back and enjoy your Outer Banks vacation at Simple Pleasures! This stunning 6 bedroom home features 2 master suites, a private pool, hot tub, pool table/ping pong table, two wet bars, basketball, arcade games and so much more! You'll also enjoy the privacy of having two living areas and spacious sun and covered decks to relax the days away. Convenient to great dining, nightlife, shopping and adventures! One stay at Simple Pleasures and you will be coming back year after year!
At Simple Pleasures you are close to two super-markets, the 60 shop Timbuck II shopping center, Adventure mini-golf and bumper cars, movie theater, great dining, parasailing, the Currituck Lighthouse, the Whalehead Club and other fun activities such as the wild horse tours and coastal kayak adventures.
Section N- Ocean Sands
Property Bedding: 2 Kings, 1 Queen, 2 Bunk Sets, 1 Duo-Bunk, I Double.
On the Top Level you will be greeted with amazing cathedral ceilings:
A fully equipped kitchen featuring a breakfast bar which seats 3.
The dining room comfortably seats 12 so everyone can be together for meals and late night games.
Features direct access to the huge sun deck along with the gas grill.
The living room has two relaxing sofas, a gas fireplace (off-season only), ceiling fan, 42 inch flat screen television and DVD player, and a stereo with a CD player.
A beautiful master suite is also on this level which has a king size bed, ceiling fan, private deck access, a 32 inch flat screen television and DVD player and a full bathroom. The bath has a whirlpool tub, shower, double sink and a make-up mirror.
The Mid-Level:
The laundry closet complete with a full size washer and dryer along with the second level covered deck.
The well appointed second living area has a wet bar, mini fridge, games and puzzles, ceiling fan and gas fireplace (off-season use only) along with a 27 inch television with a DVD player.
There is also access to the covered deck and hot tub which overlooks the private pool (14 feet by 30 feet).
The second master bedroom is located on this level which has a queen size bed, ceiling fan, 32 inch flat screen television and a full bathroom. The bath features a double sink, whirlpool tub and separate shower.
There is a full hall bathroom featuring a whirlpool tub and shower which connects to a bedroom with a king size bed and a bedroom with a double. This bedroom has a ceiling fan and a 32 inch flat screen television.
The final bedroom on this floor has a duo-bunk along with a ceiling fan, 32 inch flat screen television, kid's toys, a pack and play and an assortment of books and videos.
The ground level:
The main entrance to the home is located along with a second wet bar and a mini fridge.
The final bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, another pack and play and a 14 inch television/VCR combo.
Lastly, the fun is waiting for you in Simple Pleasure's recreation room which has direct access to the private pool and enclosed outside shower.
There is also a 6 foot pool table/ping pong table, stereo with CD player, two Mega touch multi-game arcade games and a 32 inch flat screen television.
Outside is where everyone enjoys the 14 foot by 30 foot private pool. There is also an enclosed outside shower, park grill, fish cleaning table and a basketball goal!

This is a great house! We were pleasantly surprised at this property. Excellent location- about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Bikes, beach toys, and pool toys were great. We also enjoyed riding bikes for coffee, bagels, and shopping. The pool was plenty big enough for our group of 15. The kitchen is really well stocked and had everything we needed. We would all stay here again!

We had a wonderful time. This house fitted our large extended family beautifully. The room sizes were all great and we enjoyed not being right on top of each other. The pool and the proximity to the beach was great and much needed in the very hot weather of this Summer.

If you have a large family, this place is great. From the toys, bicycles, games, movie selection, pool, distance from beach, this home was just what we needed. Great value and location. The high chair, pack and play and baby gate for the stairs was a welcome surprise! My grandkids had a blast riding bikes and playing in the pool. There were pool toys in the shed outside and the kids had a blast finding surprises in there! The kitchen is very well stocked. Plenty of seating on the decks and inside. Although we think the hot tub could be updated and some of the mattresses were a little uncomfortable, we had a great experience and would stay here again in a heartbeat! A suggestion also, it would be nice to get the code to the door emailed to you instead of having to stop by the office to get it.

The house was ok. Not a terrible walk to the beach. Lots of kitchen tools, pots, pans, and such which was nice. The sliding door on the second floor had a broken handle which I believe had been like that for a while. The back of the house is in desperate need of a good power washing. My main complaint would be with Carolina Shores. The house has keyless entry. I thought I would be emailed the code. After 4pm I called Carolina Shores and asked about the code. A rather rude gentlemen said I had to go to the office and check in. I did not understand why as many other places I have stayed in OBX just emailed the code. He stated that my ID would need to be checked. I drove back to Duck and walked in the office. The lady asked my name and handed me a packet. My ID was not checked. In my opinion keyless entry codes should be emailed or texted to the renter.

Great for large family vacation
Our experience at Simple Pleasures was very good. There was plenty of space for everyone with plenty to do at the house as well as out (beach, shopping, activities). The place was clean when we arrived and made wonderful memories. Some of the decor is a bit dated but, all in all, would rent here again with a large family.

We had a great time at Corolla. The house was about a 4-5 minute walk to the beach through the neighborhood, no major roads. There were some bikes to borrow too, along with beach and pool toys. Having a pool was awesome. It was very warm and the kids loved it. The house was big, more than enough space for our family of four. Kids loved the air hockey table in the lower level too. The house was fine, and clean, but appliances could all be replaced/updated. Upstairs AC sometimes didn’t work well, fridge couldn’t stay cold enough, the washing machine sounded like it was going to break/jump out of the wall when I tried to do a load. Plenty of things to do in OBX. Lots of mini golf, arcades, climbing the lighthouse, driving a 4x4 car onto the beach to see horses, restaurants, shopping, fishing/boating/kayaking.

We had an amazing time. 11 people, 3 generations making up 4 families (grandparents, 2 families of 4, 1 singleton) ages ranging from 70 to 18months. It was great. Lots of space, plenty for everyone to do and close enough to the beach. Decking was a little worn but that can be expected with all the salt in the air. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay! The house was just the right size for our group and it was an easy walk to the quiet and beautiful beach nearby. The rental company was very easy to get in touch with and highly responsive!

A few major problems in the beginning
The beginning of our stay didn't start off great. We arrived a little early, but the rental company wouldn't let us pick up the keys early (understandable, but the office was over 30 min from the house with traffic and it was difficult with 2 small children after already driving 8 hours). We drove back to the office and arrived 30 min before check in (an employee earlier in the day told us to do this) and she refused to release the keys, because she wasn't sure if the house was cleaned yet. I explained we were at least 30 min from the house and could not possibly arrive before check in time.
She called someone and they were not able to verify the house was cleaned yet. Finally, someone called back and said it had not been cleaned yet. She handed the keys over immediately and said well it isn't clean, but you can start moving your things in. Super confusing considering I couldn't get the keys 10 mintues before that without the house being cleaned??
We arrived pretty much at the same time as the cleaners. She advised us not to come in, especially upstairs yet, because the house was "disgusting and trashed, I don't know how these people will get their security deposit back." We hung out at the pool- which had very clearly not been cleaned yet.
Next, I went to wash some things that had been spilled on during the drive. As I opened the washer, I immediately smelled vomit and it had a few towels covered in throw up in it.
Eventually we we allowed upstairs and we were hit with a disgusting and overwhelming burnt smell. It lasted the entire trip, but I think we eventually got used to it.
The location was great and close to the beach. After convincing ourselves to "let everything go" so that we could enjoy our trip, we had a great time. If those unfortunate events hadn't happened, I would have given this place 5 stars for sure. The house has a lot of space and our 4 year old still talks about the checkers and chess game on the old computer they have. If these issues were fixed, we would stay here again.

House was nice we arrived and it was cleaned the use of the extras (bikes, beach chairs and other supplies was a nice convenience. Even though it could have been closer to the actual beach access we found the location to be very good from the main road, we did not have to drive too far from the main road to get to the location.
