Good location - quiet and nice area
The place seems a bit run down. Small communal bathroom with toilet and shower.

Stanze piccoline.

Camera ampia e molto carina. Self check-in super comodo dato che siamo arrivati tardi nella struttura. Vicinissimo al faro per provare ad ammirare l’aurora boreale.

It is a very well-located, quiet, nice house close to the sea, and only 10 minutes to the center of Reykjavik by car. Parking is free on the street. The self check-in and contact with the staff is easy. In the apartment is everything what you need. The staff is expert, super helpful, thanks for everything!
The beds are too soft for us.

Miły gospodarz i dobry kontakt. Miejsce przygotowane dla turystów podróżujących budżetowo. Spełnia swoje założenia, lecz przydałoby się trochę odświeżyć to miejsce, by wyciągnąć pełnię potencjału.

Excellent location and great room.
Bathroom a bit small.
2.5 / 5.0
Nicely located property.
The kitchen was very small, no space for eating for more than 3 people. The kitchen facilities were sticky. Bathroom was very small and stinky… The entrance door could be repaired (they couldn’t be normally closed - just with a lot of force)

The location is in a quiet upper middle class neighborhood.
It was a little dated. The table and chairs outside were in bad shape. Could have used a little more “ punch “

we had the biggest room in the house and saw amazing sunset from the living room window, there is also a porch/ balcony outside our room
overheard others guests noise very easily

was really clean and homely

Very comfy bed, easy self check-in, good communication from hosts and we saw the northern lights from the back garden. The kitchen was also better equipped than we expected

It was budget friendly. Easy to find, close to Reykjavik. Got to meet new people.
Walls we're paper thin and could hear everything. We had super loud neighbors that keep us up past midnight and we're yelling constantly. It was very frustrating.

Really nice apartment with private bathroom and shared kitchen. Even though we didn't meet the owner we felt that it is important for him to take care of guests, by small things like postcard on the table or tips about Iceland and Reykjawik written on the walls.

location, near northern lighthouse and facilities.
Communication could be better, they did not send an email explaining about door code and nothing about the area, facilities are ok. good cleaning and good area to stay

After our week-long trip to the north and east, we needed a "landing" place closer to Reykjavik before our final day. This property is in the residential suburbs of Reykjavik, not far from the Grotta Lighthouse.
Check-in process was simple with a digital lock on the door. We had a room for 3 people and a bathroom which we shared with guests in another room (though we never saw them).
A small kitchen was available for us to re-heat our takeaways from the previous night and there's complimentary coffee.
In the morning, we did a short walk to the lighthouse for sunrise pictures. No northern lights during the night though, can't be lucky every night.
Front door can be a little tricky to use but that's really not a big deal.

Free parking, easy self check in and well equipped kitchen

Spacious and friendly staff.
The room seems age, need maintenance, some hook even not attached to the wall.
The shared kitchen is not well equipped, not enough kitchenware for cooking, some were broken. The rubbish is too small to collect all the rubbish.
We can hear movie sound from the other room during late night.
During the midnight, somebody try to open our door for several times and certain period. That was disturbing.

The location was great. It is a little outside of town but only by a couple of minutes drive and even walkable if you are up for it. You are right near the water and can see it from the apartment. The owners are very communicative and want to make sure you have everything you need. There was coffee and milk. The beds were comfy, there was shampoo and conditioner in the showers (be sure to bring your own soap). There is wifi but be aware, it is unsecured. There are other thoughtful touches like toys and games are available and suggestions for places to see and recommendations for restaurants.

I loved this stay! The room we stayed in was great and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the Whatapp group chat for the Northern Lights as well.
The breakfast was really lacking. I'm not a picky eater, but the homecooked bread they made us was rock hard. I cut my finger trying to cut a piece off. Other than that, it was an excellent stay.

The place was very cozy, and when you compare standard to price (especially taking into account that it was Reykjavik, so quite an expensive city), it was more than fair. The view was beautiful, and our host very nice and helpful. On the first morning electricity went down on the whole street, so we had breakfast with the candles. How romantic to start your holidays in Iceland ;) We have spent there two nights and really enjoyed the place.
When you are trying to reach this place from the airport, the closes you can get is around 2 km from the Grotta Aurora Lights. It wasn't a problem for us - we are young, so we just took a walk, but for elder people, it could be a problem. If we would rent a car at the airport there would be no problem at all, but we decided that first two day we won't need one, hence, we took Fly Bus from the airport.
