Such a charming house. Everything was super clean and we would definitely stay here again on our next trip!

We loved the house! It was very roomy, everyone had their own space. We also enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our morning coffee. It was close to Lake Michigan and everything else we wanted to do.

The Orchard House is absolutely perfect for a group/family/fiends getaway. It is perfectly located to access the entire peninsula with short drives. It's quiet enough so yo can enjoy cocktails play games or just hang out. The house- The Good... The house is very well appointed, there are enough kitchen supplies to prepare and serve a meal for eight with a dishwasher to help clean up-dishwasher pods were provided. The laundry is free and they even provided laundry detergent! The heat/ac work perfectly. The beds are just average but we didn't go to Door County spend time in bed, we did sleep well though. Not sure how the TV's work as we didn't even turn one on the whole week. There is ample outdoor seating and some activities to keep you busy. The king bedroom is on the first floor with a giant bathroom that has privy access for everyone as well. The other three bedrooms are on the second floor. The queen room also has a bathroom. The other two bedrooms share the bathroom on the hall. The bathrooms are large and very nice. The not so Good... Honestly, the not so good is really just nitpicky crap that really wouldn't effect my decision to stay there again. More like things to be aware of. So here we go...
I am a large person and the showers are extremely narrow. Even my normal sized family commented on how you pretty much have to shower sideways. Not a deal breaker, not even much of a pain, but to be aware of for some people. All in all it was a perfect stay.

The location of the property was perfect. We were able to walk to most destinations, a great backyard where the kids could play, and a large playground just across the street. The house has great character and has aged well and been cared for well. The property was a wonderful place to sneak away for a long holiday weekend!

We’ve been coming to DC for over 30 yrs with family and this was the first time we stayed in Bailey’s Harbor. The house was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and it’s perfectly located to walk to everything in the town. House was as advertised, had anything you needed to cook, washer/dryer, etc. Bathrooms were nice. It’s a 100+ yr old farmhouse but in really good shape. Would stay here again for sure.

This original farm house enjoys the benefits of having Baileys Harbor grow around it. It has a nice backyard shaded by large trees which we used for some competitive badmitten, corn hole and bocce with the kids. Lots of fun!
The house was in great repair, sporting updated bathrooms and kitchen, and surprisingly two zone heating/cooling. The master suite inhabited half the main floor, originally most likely a sitting and dining room. It made for an impressive suite, but subtracted common meeting areas in the house. The eight of us could not eat together, nor sit together without one using a wooden chair. So - six adults very comfortable, eight adults requires some flexibility.
Baileys Harbor is minutes from the front door, with a neat farmer's market on the weekends, a marina, several eateries and bars, and a few quaint shops. We had fun exploring a few among our other activities.
For us, the fact that hiking, disc golf and 'green grass' golf were only minutes away make the location special.
The kitchen is large and well stocked, easily accommodating our 'each couple prepares a dinner for the group' meal plan. The gas grill outside was used to grill veggies for one meal and a burger / hot dog picnic on another day. Perfect!

We visit DC several times a year. Our sons have grown up vacationing in DC. Fast forward one of our sons, whom is living/working in Texas…planned his proposal to his Texas sweetheart 💖. We all gathered in DC, her family secretly flew in to help celebrate too!
It truly was EPIC!!! Thank you!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Comfy beds, a lot of bathrooms, clean house. We had a great time here and felt very comfortable with 5 adults and 3 children under 2. Great yard games and the location was perfect! Many restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance.

The house was perfect for our group of adults ages 31-69), and children (ages 3 and 5). Primary bedroom on main level was super helpful. Outside space and location could not be beat. Having a playground, library, small beach area, and Ridges Nature Sanctuy all within a two minute walk was a bonus, especially with young children! We literally could’ve have only explored Bailey’s Harbor and not had to drive anywhere, but the property was also easy driving distance to the rest of DC. Great sleeping spaces, comfortable beds, and there was even space for two small cots in the second primary bedroom upstairs. Would stay here again when we’re in the area next time!

Four ladies stayed in this house for a long weekend. We really enjoyed each having a bedroom and having 3 full bathrooms. The house was right in Bailey’s Harbor—very convenient to shopping and dining on “the quiet side”. It was lovely coming home after a long day visiting Door County towns and sitting on the porch with a glass of wine! There was some road noise but the parking was nice to have. The living room was also larger than it appears in the picture with plenty of seating. The house was clean and the kitchen well stocked. Would definitely recommend.

Such a charming property! Marvelous details and spacious rooms, especially the main downstairs bedroom and en suite bathroom. We stayed for 5 nights with my family and in laws. In total: 5 adults and 2 kids under 5. We all enjoyed our time. I can’t wait to come back.

We had a whole family stay at this farmhouse. It’s large enough for 8 and had plenty of bathrooms! The location can’t be beat… we loved walking to restaurants and coffee shops and having everything in Door County no more then 30 minutes away!

Superb In-Town Door County Experience
We rented the Orchard House for a multi-generational celebration of my mother's 80th birthday and it was ideal. My mother especially appreciated the old farmhouse with its stenciled walls and wooden floors. The location right in the heart of Baileys Harbor was terrific with restaurants, Ridges Sanctuary and the marina all within easy walking distance. The house has a lovely front porch and a nice backyard with many fun lawn game options. Our group enjoyed bocci and corn hole. The many bedrooms and three bathrooms, one on the main floor, made this a great shared space for our family group. The one thing to note, pocket doors separate the bedroom on the main floor from the living room, so the folks in that bedroom need to be the last to bed as the living room really isn't usable once the people in the bedroom go to bed. Not an issue for our group but something to keep in mind when planning.

Great for family gatherings
Spent five days here with three generations of family from teens to grandparents, and the beautifully restored house was a great base to explore all of Door County within 20 minutes in any direction. The highlight for us was the big backyard with badminton, croquet, bocce and cornhole, which we all enjoyed playing in the cool summer temps. One minor drawback as others have mentioned: the house sits right on the main road, so there is traffic and road noise starting early in the morning. And one suggestion for the owners: consider installing some blackout curtains in the bedrooms, as the east sun lights up the place at 5 a.m. and makes it hard to stay asleep! Other than that our stay was wonderful.

Door County was the perfect girlfriend’s getaway and our stay in Bailey’s Harbor was exceptional. We loved exploring during the day and returning to our VRBO to relax, swing on the porch or walk a few feet to a fun pub/restaurant. Highly recommend if your travels take you to DC!!!

Stayed for 4 nights July 2021, with my adult children in tow. This house is LARGE an easily accommodated our family of 5. Everyone had their own room (2 masters). Easy walk to all Bailey's Harbor restaurants, bars, shops. Very clean, spacious, with nice touches. Kitchen utensils, pots, pans were great for cooking and well stocked. Check-in and -out was simple and efficient. WOULD ABSOLUTELY STAY AGAIN and will look here first for my next BH stay.

We had a family group ranging in age from 16 to 74. The house was large enough to accommodate all of us. The house was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The house was right off the main strip and was convenient to all Door County has to offer. It was a great vacation!

Four of us (2 mom/daughter pairs) spent 3 nights at Orchard House and loved every minute! It was very clean and full of character. It provided a great space to spend time both inside and out. Also for 4 adults it provided enough bedrooms/bathrooms to all have our own space when needed. Location was ideal, walking to the water, coffee, restaurants, The Ridges Sanctuary... and no more than 20 minute drive to other spots in Door County. Owners were responsive and lovely. All together the perfect weekend getaway!

Mom and two mid-twenty daughters needed a getaway. This home was perfect. A very well stocked kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms and nice space to hang out inside and on the porch. We walked for coffee, dinner and to the brewery for a brew social distancing in the beer garden. House had great lawn games and though we'd intended to play we simply were too busy. We normally stay in the egg harbor area but we enjoyed getting away from the crowds. Dissappointing to not open the windows for some fresh air and too bad its not on the water, but you can't have everything. This was a great find and we'll visit again.

Loved the old home and all amenities. Beds/sheets are wonderful as are the bathrooms, water pressure, central air, etc. Kitchen has beautiful view of garden. Loved the yard games (thank you!). Property managers clearly care and ensure the home is ready for guests. Location made it easy to visit surrounding interests. Really enjoyed it. One suggestion from an old home fan would to be put a bit more stylized, aesthetic attention to interior wall decor. There is so much wall real estate! Age and period are nicely represented. Thanks again. Great stay!

Cute house in the center of Baileys Harbor. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and the water. The house had a ton of space and there was a great deal of separation between the master bedroom and the other three rooms. The kitchen had everything you need and there was a grill to cook meals at the house. The house is old and is on the main road, but the backyard is huge and great for kids.
