Welcome to Honey Bear Cabin!
This fantastic 4BR/3.5BA log cabin in Valle Crucis has all of the amenities your family is looking for. Start things off with a 7-person hot tub, a wonderful wood-burning fire pit, foosball table, and smart TVs in every bedroom, where you can access Hulu live, Disney Plus, and ESPN! There is an authentic popcorn machine for movie nights with the family. Tons of board games, puzzles, crossword and Sudoku books, and much more are available. Your family definitely will not get bored at Honey Bear Cabin! Enjoy the views, nature, wildlife, and clean mountain breezes while lounging in the hammocks in the private backyard.
This 3-level log cabin has lots of covered and open-air outdoor living space with front, side, and rear porches and decks, a wonderful gas fire table, and plenty of room for outdoor dining. The hot tub is nestled in a private corner of the cabin on a covered deck.
The main-floor master suite has a king bed and private bathroom with a double granite vanity and an oversized garden tub with a shower. There are two more bedrooms downstairs, each with a queen bed and a private full bathroom. The loft bedroom has two (2) twins beds. The first-floor game room has a comfy pullout sleeper sofa for one or two more guests.
The kitchen comes fully stocked with all kinds of gadgets, including a Keurig coffee maker and a standard coffee maker.
Windows surround the dining room so your family can enjoy the mountain panorama while dining at a large, handmade, live-edged solid wood table that seats up to ten (10) people. The gas log fireplace is open to both the living room and the dining room.
The cabin also has central air conditioning for the occasional hot and humid summer days. Authentic handmade furniture and decor throughout aspire to give you a feeling of rustic elegance.
Honey Bear Cabin is peacefully tucked away on a quiet, wooded mountain property in Valle Crucis, yet is centrally located and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, the Valle Crucis Park, and Grandfather Mountain. In the wintertime, it is convenient to Beech Mountain Ski Resort, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and Hawksnest and Appalachian Ski Mountain.
Please Note: Due to the private location, this home has an exterior video camera facing the parking area and one near the side of the house to monitor wildlife. No cameras face toward any living areas.

It is an absolutely beautiful property! Plenty of space inside and even more outside. It is a good 25 mins from groceries or activities. Blowing Rock has an amazing downtown area and that’s about 30 mins. You will need to bring all of your own household items (paper plates, sugar, coffee, condiments, garbage bags and I suggest towels and fire supplies as well). It’s not a quick trip to get anything so we ended up having to use instacart our first night as we weren’t comfortable going down the mountain in the dark yet. We did end up leaving early because of a winter storm on the way and early check out is only offered at a high price. We ended up paying for a day we couldn’t stay instead. The best parts are the fire pit and the hot tub, our family made so many memories there! I would recommend knowing all those things I just mentioned though!

The property was nice and clean. Wasn’t as private as I was thinking. The kitchen was well stocked but it had a few things do need to be updated/replace. The fire pit with the swings was so cool! Everyone really enjoyed the swings! The beds were all comfortable and I was pleased to have all the bathrooms! Hot tub was very nice to relax in. The cabin was centrally located, so that was very convenient! We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will rebook next time!

The cabin was in a beautiful location. Furnishings were in good condition and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and making smores in the firepit while using the swingset seats. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, restful, hidden from the outside world. A place to get away. A place to remember what's really important...togetherness. The cabin was a perfect place to just kick back, relax, and remember the little things that make this journey called life so very special. Enjoyed my few days away with my beautiful sisters. House was clean and as described in the listing. Both adults and kids enjoyed the outdoor space at the max. Jacuzzi, fire pit, grill, games are some of the items which has to be specified separately. It would be great if we go there during fall. Thanks to the hosts!!

We brought our 5 kids (ages 10-21) for a weekend trip. We’ve been doing this for years as a pre-Christmas trip, staying at different houses. This place was definitely our favorite. We’ll be back next year before, and hopefully for at least one more night!

We loved how secluded this property was, and the size of the house was perfect. Easy to enjoy time with friends, but also easy to enjoy peace and quiet alone. Loved that the 3 main bedrooms all had their own private bathrooms.
The drive up the hill was a little nerve wracking the first time, even in a 4 wheel drive truck.

Fun family weekend!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Honey Bear Cabin! It was a bit of an adventure getting up to the cabin at first, but once there, it’s fantastic! The cabin was exceptionally clean and very well stocked! Everything you could possibly need was there. The kids absolutely loved the game room and the firepit swings! The cabin is pretty centrally located to all of the areas attractions. Thank you for a great time! We can’t wait to go back!

Great family trip with little ones! The downstairs game room was a hit with the kids. We made s’mores by the fire pit and relaxed in the hammocks. Cabin is beautiful and clean. Hot tub is in good condition. Close to lots of family attractions. Cabin rental service communication was great. We look forward to coming back again!

We enjoyed our stay at Honey Bear Cabin. The fire pit with swings was a big hit, as was the hot tub. The property is remote, but just what we needed for a getaway with close friends and family.

Perfect Vacation Spot
We have come to Boone and other mountain spots man times, but this was by far our favorite. Everything we needed. Beautiful place, easy fireplace, great weekend cooking out and watching football. Everything we needed and I haven’t even mentioned how nice the hot tub felt!

Relaxing
Cabin was great, everyone enjoyed the hot tub, evenings around the fire pit was awesome. Getting to the cabin was not so great. A 15 minute drive from the main highway on a one way, washboard gravel road. I’m really not sure why someone would build such a lovely structure when the roads were so bad to get to it. We would not do it again for that reason. However, the cabin was amazing.

Great Cabin!
The cabin is nicely located! Takes some time to get up to the house, but the location is actually pretty central to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain and more. Linville Caverns wasn’t far either. Beds are a little stiff, but overall the cabin is super comfortable, had space for all six of us, hot tub was great, and the cabin is very private! Loved the gas fire pit and grill. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home!!

House was gorgeous, clean and very private!!! It was the best experience! Property manager was very prompt always returned calls addressed concerns. I wish I would have been able to stay the entire week! I will say to future guest please take it serious when they tell you to mind the weather on those mountain roads. It wasn’t easy for us in the rain but as long as your careful the drive is sooooooo worth the experience! Would love to stay again and even longer this time! If your thinking about renting honey bear cabin DO IT!!! Plenty of room and those beds are super comfortable! Kitchen stocked as well with dishes, cleaning supplies and all sort of modern appliances. I loved it there.

Weekend Getaway with Friends
We had a group of friends stay at Honey Bear Cabin for a weekend ski getaway. The cabin was very clean, had a great setup for the 7 of us, and was very cute! We really enjoyed the hot tub and the living room area with the fireplace. The additional board games were a fun bonus! Would definitely recommend this place and wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The perfect, cozy cabin!
We loved everything about Honey Bear. The location was perfect, secluded and gorgeous. The interior was so thoughtful. Lots of cozy details. The house was quaint, yet spacious all at the same time. Killer view from the hot tub. Beautiful sunrises in the living room. Everything you could ever need in the kitchen. The best selection of games. Comfy master bed. Awesome 2 sided fireplace that kept the living room toasty. We had the best time. Our 4 year old saw snow for the first time. It was AWESOME!

Perfect home
We stayed at the honey bear cabin and it was absolutely perfect . We had 10 people and we never felt crowded , we loved the double fireplace as the girls could visit in the dinning room as the guys watched tv. The kitchen was very accommodating with everything you need plus duplicates ! The view are stunning ! Each room had a tv and there were plenty of noise fans and floor heaters . Lots of extra quilts and blankets . This home has been taken very good care of and they spared no expense, very cozy !

Rental company
I wrote a second review because I felt it was imperative we include the customer care from Carolina cabins . We got to the cabin and there were lots of lightbulbs out as well as we couldn't figure out the gas fireplace . We called and the agent walked us through the steps needed to get the firs lit as well as sent someone out immediately to bring and change bulbs ! They later called back to check and make sure we were settled and satisfied ! Impeccable customer service with quick response . The cabin was a great value and no more going through a rental agency . Well worth it for the personal care .

Honey Bear Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at Honey Bear cabin. I found the kitchen to be well stocked making it easy to cook. Also, the attention to detail the owner took was very nice as well. I will say my family and I however after staying did decide it is just not truly big enough for our family, while it sleeps 10, 2 of those spots are in an opened loft and not super comfy to sleep in. The only other issue we had was that we could not use the game table, due to issues out of Carolina Rentals control(they did try very hard to help). We were very impressed with Carolina Cabin Rentals and will most likely rent from them again.

Gorgeous place! Might want to strongly communicate just how remote the cabin is. Decor was lovely. Kitchen was well stocked. Hot tub was perfect! Please consider adding lamps to main level as lighting is either too bright or too dim when someone is sleeping in loft. Overall it is great! Comfy beds and furniture! Loved the porch swing. Thank you for sharing.

Will be back
We absolutely loved our stay. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect 5 stars was just that the hot tub didn't completely work and the water was rather cloudy. Would have loved if it were fully functional but everything else was great! We had plenty of supplies in the kitchen to cook two very nice meals and loved the dining area. The grill worked great and the master bedroom was comfortable.
