Wonderful!

Friendly welcome and atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Characterful rooms. A lively bar and restaurant. Great breakfast. Beautiful location.

Voices and music from the bar could be heard in the room. Nothing that spoiled my overall stay

Very nice stay in a beautiful, historic inn.

Very pretty, tastefully decorated and well-equipped Inn from the 16th Century. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and bedside reading lights. The bathroom was a decent size with a bath/shower. Breakfast was very tasty and substantial.

The weather was quite unseasonably cold and the room was also quite cold.

Great value. Great staff

A lovely pub, the two men who looked after us (food,bar and showed us around) were great. Very helpful, welcoming and attentive. Even though rooms were above the pub, the noise was minimal and ended at a very reasonable time.

The staff could not have been helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely superb - an excellent choice, generous and freshly prepared. Perfect!

The pub and room were very stylish and comfortable, fully stocked with everything we might need for our stay. The staff couldn’t of done more for us and we would definitely like to come back and stay again!

Wonderful and warming staff! Very clean rooms!

Breakfast from 9:00 to 10:00 am so impossible to have it if you stay for work. If you arrive on sunday after 8pm, impossible to find a place to have dinner in the city

The Horse Inn was perfect for a couple of nights away.

There was a friendly welcome and a relaxed atmosphere. The room was airy, small but comfortable. Breakfast was table service. Freshly prepared. Perhaps the chef should consider portion control in these challenging times? The granola with berries and yogurt was delicious but there was enough cereal for a family of four! The traditional English with: 2 eggs, two sausages, two rashers of bacon,, mushroom, a hash brown, toast, beans, tomato .... Plenty for two people.

Parking is limited.

Perfect cosy room with amazing staff

Everything! our stay here was perfect, very cosy clean room, huge comfy bed. The staff were also amazing, friendly and treated us like we were the only guests there! made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
