This is a sweet little cottage situated behind the owners home but completely independent, with its own peaceful area of garden, although you can also wander round the whole garden, which is pretty and has a section of river at the bottom (fenced off). The owners were so helpful with a great local knowledge and helpful suggestions/responses. Really nice couple. The village is pretty, with two shops and two pubs serving good food. There is also a bus stop just down the road going to Poole and Blandford which makes a nice change to leave transport at home. Location great as an easy drive to loads of things to do in the surrounding area, and if you are a National Trust member there are some fab places (Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacey, Babdury Rings, Brownsea Island via Ferry from Poole, Studland Bay, Hardy's Cottage to name a few), but some beautiful countryside on the doorstep, walks, cycling and coastline, or just relax in the garden which got the sun until late. The cottage itself is cosy, private, the bed nice and comfortable and place was clean. Private parking is right outside the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and could have spent longer here.

Cozy cottage with everything you needed, The wood-burning stove was an excellent bonus. SUch a warm and comfortable feeling staying there.
The internet was from the house so was very intermittent, it could do with a proper connection for the cottage. The tv signal is also a little intermittent if you want to watch tv. Could do with a few more saucepans and a newer frying pan.

it was absolutely amazing! exactly what my new family of 3 needed! as a child i always came to Dorset and spent all of my 6 weeks summer holiday with my grandparents, I had a lot of nostalgia and loved taking my little girl where I went when I was a child. the cottage and owners were spot on, left us to it and had more than needed amenities! what a beautiful cottage and stay and id love to come back again! xx

I like the location and the garden, flowers on the property. The house is very cozy and feels like home. Enjoyed the fire place a lot. The hosts are super friendly.
The water in the bath was coming out very slowly. Also, for cleaning the dishes would be nice to have a sponge. And there was a spoiled sausage in the fridge when we have checked in.

Beautiful part of Dorset - it was so quiet at the cottage and we ate breakfast outside in the garden. Lovely village with the Red Lion pub being just a short walk where we found great service, excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. We would stay again.
The cottage is well equipped, although provision of oil would have been useful for cooking (we bought butter and other food with us but didn’t think we needed oil), and single beds upstairs are small - so most suitable for children or shorter adults.
