Loved how quiet it was, the lawn with picnic tables and the easy car park. The 4 poster bed was extremely comfortable, the room was excellent and the staff was absolutely fantastic!!!!
We had very little to no hot water.

Bed was covered in hair, unsure if it was animal or pubic… Kettle full of limescale, shower had little to no pressure, windows filthy, room left on the latch, option to apparently buy breakfast but note left on the door to say they were closed?

Room was spacious, warm, and had everything you need within easy reach. Staff were kind and always happy to help. Food was very good, and the small bar had a nice atmosphere. The green space outside catches the evening sun perfectly.
Ample parking outside.
The bathroom left a little to be desired - the extractor fan above the shower was not working, the shower head was lacking in water pressure, and the fittings of the shower were leaking water while the shower was on. All easy fixes for a big bump in comfort.

Stunning rural location and lovely buildings with ample parking. The main restaurant and breakfast room are gorgeous and the food is delicious. Staff were lovely and helpful as well and the atmosphere was great.
The furniture in our room looked quite dated, the carpets really needed replacing and the bathroom could have done with an update, particularly to the old electric shower.

it was a clear dark night. it’s a shame there isn’t an area in the car park with no lights. you would see lots of stars

A very comfortable bed, a lovely view and everything was nice and clean.
I was asked by email to check in on line which felt impersonal, but I guess that is just me being old fashioned. The hotel closed at 5pm so there was no welcome. It was great that staff left the room on the latch so that we were able to get in after 5pm. Decor was tired and one of the radiators broken so it was not possible to turn the valve off making the room too hot.

Wonderful building and nice friendly staff.
