The facilities were great, specially the cove and the pool areas. Great selection of food. For my birthday I was gifted with a beautiful cake and champagne by the hotel, which was a lovely treat!
No iron or iron board available, which wasn't ideal.

Stunningly beautiful gardens. Majority of staff were welcoming and kind. General manager was very accessible and made genuine effort to resolve issues.
General condition of room was very poor. Decor was dated and looked a bit tired. Apparently 70% of Iberostar properties have been refurbished recently, but clearly not this one. Very few plug sockets - none with USB socket. In room safe too small to take a laptop and at an extra charge of 3 Euro per day. Mattress was foam which I was very surprised to find. A "topper" was added but was only a small improvement to a very poor bed. T.V had very limited channels, predominately current affairs and very limited in English. Wi-Fi so poor that at times was not useable. Air con effective but old unit which was not quiet enough. Nothing supplied in mini bar, not even water. (We were "All Inclusive"). Toilet seat in bathroom broken. Main restaurant food was poor. Hot buffet not hot enough and no warmed plates. Soft drinks were all full sugar other than "Pepsi Max". House wine was not at all pleasant. Egg station was very poor; all eggs cooked "over easy", request for "sunny side up" declined. Omelette made from weak mixture, no pre-cooking of ;ham, peppers, onions, before adding to the griddle. Advised at check in all other A la Care restaurants fully booked. Intervention from General Manager needed in order to obtain a place. (Food here was much better but, hot food served on stone cold plates.) Sunbeds at main pool all reserved by same guests with towels despite clear instruction not to do so.

Excellent choice of food for breakfast and dinner. Lovely coast path walk near to hotel. Cleaning exemplary by very friendly lady. Please pass on our thanks from bungalow 1006
Squeaking shower door. Could hear other bungalow shower door opening and closing and also their toilets flushing

1. One of the. best stays so far. We traveled with 11 month baby. The staff always comunicated with baby, asked how are we doing if everything ok. Thay always were very polite helpful and comunicable. We felt very special and happy.
2.The food was amazing, few different kinds of fresh cheese, yogurt, boiled vegetables, different kinds of fish, meat. A lot of fresh fruits topings and desserts. Everyone can find something tasty and fresh
3. The hotel teritory is huge, many places to sit down and watch at the see, different areas to eat, many activities (at the pool, bar, live music at the restaurant...) . You can spend all day at the hotel and still find something new.
1. Everything was perfect only one note that there wasn't warming pool.

The food there was fantastic and the staff very helpful and friendly .
We were supposed to stay in a bungalow but for some reason they gave us a room on the 5th floor! We arrived at 4am so we understand that it wasn't the time to complain .The WI-FI on the 5th floor wasn't working

We stayed here for 4 nights with a little baby (5 month) in one of the superior Bungalows on Half Board the last week of the season. Great decision! Really nice and well maintained quiet resort, friendly stuff, good food, relaxing shower, everything is baby buggy/wheel chair friendly, big room, nice access to the sea, baby bed included. We felt very welcome and wished we could have stayed longer. Can highly recommend for families with baby when you need time to relax (at least in the off season) :)
Nothing. Everything was great!

Facilities were good. It has something for everyone.
Pool was cold, indoor heated pool was not open, beds were not the best. We had ants over a child bed. For vegetarians, spread was too limited and does not justify the cost.

We loved EVERYTHING. Perfect for families. Food was excellent. Staff and entertainment was excellent. Accommodation was excellent! Gardens were beautiful and well established.
Only one thing I didnt like, the square glass sharp cornered table in the rooms were not suitable with toddlers running round!

Room was very spacious with a double bed and a 2nd bedroom with twin beds. It was a very quiet comfortable room overlooking the gardens and central but not noisy. The all inclusive meals were exceptional, even for vegans - very fresh with lots of variety.
Loved the beach coves with safe access for swimming. I will definitely book again.
Pool music was sometimes too loud. We chose the smaller pools with the quiet music and less crowd.
Also, dining room got pretty crowded and noisy, you had to pick your time for a spot at the buffet.

We liked the hotel outdoor facilities. The hotel is very big, has several pools and 3 private beaches.
The buffet in the main restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was OK. The desserts were AWESOME (kuddos to the desserts chef who do an amazing job). The food was OK, but a bit inconsistent... Some things were great (eg. Salads and some dishes), other things were KO (overcooked grilled meat, mushy food...)
The night animations were OK, even though they are short (just 1 hour). Not awesome, but OK on some nights.
Information from concierge was very poor. No information of activities or surroundings whatsoever. We arrived by public bus and the first question we made was if there was a bus back to the Heraklion airport because we couldn't see the bus stop the other way around... The answer we received from the concierge was that they didn't recommend the public bus, just recommended taxi (taxi- 80€; public bus-9€/pax). This caused us great stress as we thought there wasn't a bus back... And there is. We just got back by bus anyway after receiving information from another concierge, but the situation added a lot of unnecessary stress.
After the first night, even though the bed was comfortable, the room/bungalow was very cold at night and we got light coming in at 7 AM. After the first night, we requested a blanket and to change the curtains so that we could sleep longer. The reception guy told us that they would leave a blanket in our room and that they would change the curtains. The blanket did came... But the curtains weren't changed... So in all our stay we couldn't sleep longer than 7 AM. Considering we went there to rest, for us, the hotel failed the most basic requirement of all.
The room / bungalow had also a moldy smell, if we kept the air-conditioner off.
The staff is overall ok. Some are very nice. Others just seem kinda fake. I've been to several 4 star hotels, and regarding staff, this was probably the one who felt most unwelcoming.
Having to schedule meals is also an added stress that guests don't need. If the restaurant only needs to know if someone is going to restaurante A or B, you should remove the hours and just ask to reserve the restaurant itself. Adding hours adds a lot of unnecessary stress to guests.
Would we return to this hotel? Probably not, even though this hotel has the best outdoor facilities we've seen in a 4 star hotel.

I loved the location right on the ocean. They upgraded me to a bungalow that had spectacular sea views, which I enjoyed immensely.
It was jam packed with people who just parked themselves by the pool or beach and kept their spot for the entire day. I was hoping to use the beach as well as the pools, but I had to stay put on the beach because there were no spots by the pool. It could also get loud with people partying by the pool.
Also, the food served - cafeteria style - was okay, at best.

Food selection was extraordinary, the quality of all inclusive was perfect. There was no "sorry that is not included in the all inclusive", you literally got everything. Steak, salmon, seafood etc.
The cocktails in the pool bars were okay, but the main bar had amazingly prepared cocktails.
The animator team was simply superb, unlike anything I have previously seen in other all inclusive hotels. Complex, super entertaining and interactive shows, costumes, scenes, and the whole program was well organized. During the day a lot of activities like beach volleyball, tennis etc.
Our room was near the kitchen and was very noisy early in the morning.
They only give one single key for the room which was a shame. You can't charge your phone unless you are in the room because there's no electricity without the key.
Room was colder than comfortable even without AC.

Buffet food high quality (as good as a mass catered buffet can be!), three different dinner options, lots of pools, nice views/garden and access to small/nice beaches. Family bungalow well set up for kids with bunk bed room at the rear of the bungalow. Entertainment staff full of energy. We had a lovely time on holiday as a family there.
Some minor issues. Kids juices/squash included in breakfast but not dinner (half board rules, which seemed petty). No laundry facility on site (they offer an expensive item by item service). Drain in bathroom flooded when bath emptied. Was put in alternate room on first night; wouldn't have minded but the concierge sold it as an upgrade (which it wasn't); compensated with difference in room rate but was inconvenient. Kids not a fan of the salty pools.

We really loved the food at the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Swimming pools were good just a bit too salty. Entertainment was fantastic! We came with 4 kids and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our holiday! Thank you so much to all the staff for looking after us !
It was difficult to get hold of the sun beds .

Nice ocean views. Huge breakfast choice, but very busy mess hall. Very comfortable mattress. Just 10' away beautiful Geropotamos beach, do not miss it.
Reception was overwhelmed with people, very poorly organise. Renting a car is a necessity to visit Rethymno and Heraklio
