Een fijn verblijf op (pittige) afstand van het mooie centrum Funchal.

De kamer was in orde, de accomodatie was o k . Het ontbijt in het barretje was wel goed.

De service in het barretje mocht wat vriendelijker zijn.

Schöne Aussicht vom Balkon, bequeme (eher härtere) Betten, kleiner aber feiner Pool, gute Snackbar

Ausstattung in die Jahre gekommen (v.a. Bad und Küche), Parken im Innenhof ist für Fahranfänger nicht so geeignet :)

Absolutnie wyjątkowy czas.

Doskonałe miejsce z jednym z najpiękniejszych widoków jakie widziałem. Cudowna, cicha, urokliwa okolica. Przesympatyczny personel i świetne jedzenie w recepcji (szczególnie bolo do caco i inne wypieki). Jeśli się zastanawiasz to jest to miejsce doskonałe! polecam każdemu!

Good value for money, staff were very helpful.

Balcony was lovely, beds very comfy, spacious room. The instructions to retrieve our key as we arrived outside of opening hours were very clear to follow!

The property would benefit from air con, and an updated kitchenette with a kettle. We also found the light switches quite confusing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff

Staff ensured that our late check in went off without a hitch. They were also very accommodating about stowing our luggage when we had a late flight the day we checked out. Very friendly staff and loved the snack bar on site

There were ants in our bathroom the first day we checked in. Also if you are renting a car, maybe stick with a compact as parking is limited and a bit tricky to navigate.

A nice view opens of the city and ocean from the terrace of the room. Quite a spacious room. There is a public pool where you can relax after walking. The kind staff allowed us to put our food in their fridge.

One of the beds was a bit squeaky.

Great location, tidy but not so warm room

The location was great, with the balcony. It was tidy and hot water.

There was supposed to be a parking space on the property- important thing for the rented cars. Unfortunately several times we had a problem with it because it was full and we had to park on the street which was dangerous (high deposit). Also the room was not really warm :(

Nice place but not the best if you're renting a car and need to park

We were really excited to stay here mainly because of the view, and the view definitely met our expectations! The hosts were also very nice (especially Denys who was very patient with my parking skills on the first day). The place is also pretty close to the main area of Funchal, and they have a cafe downstairs which is convenient if you wanna grab a bite to eat or drink something. The pool looked really nice too but we didn't have time to use it.

Although this place was beautiful, there are definitely some things to consider - things which made it hard for us. The bathroom is old and needs to be renovated. If you're renting a car (especially a bigger one), it will be really hard to park. They have free parking but it's first come, first serve, and there were two nights where we couldn't find parking right away so we had to park on the street and we weren't sure if it was okay to park there so we kept coming out and checking if the parking spots at the hotel were freed up. Thankfully, they did end up getting free and we parked but it was really inconvenient because the space is so tight and if it wasn't for my sister guiding me, I would not have been able to park the car by myself. The entrance is very narrow and you have to reverse in, and then the main entrance area is also very tight. It also got pretty cold at night and they don't have heating - but thankfully they had extra blankets and when we told the host, they provided us with a portable heater which helped. But if you're in Madeira during the colder months and you get cold fast, keep this in mind.

Sunsets of Funchal

Amazing view, we enjoyed very beautiful sunsets on the balcony. Room is clean, comfortable and nice. Bathroom with shower was also clean en big enough, there were also many towels hairdryer. The staf is friendly and flexible. You can enjoy snack-bar until 22:00 and swimming pool until 17:00 (we're in February). Location is nice, calm area, many bars and cafés around here.

Stay was amazing just a couple of details, that could be important: - One socket for the entire room and bathroom. It wasn't very convenient. - location is nice but important to mention that way from hotel to city center is pretty easy because you have to go just down hill for 10-15 minutes. BUT the way back to hotel is going to be like a hike. Anyway in center you can easily take different buses.

Exceptional

Everything about this place made us love it. First, the location- tucked into one of the lovely tiny roads in the city- and authentic Madeiran place itself was brilliant because it had superb views of the marina and also the rest of the city, while feeling nestled into the hills of Funchal. The place had a bar where lunch and drinks were served, and even the locals came for a coffee on a Sunday afternoon! A gorgeous courtyard-like space sits at the centre of the hotel, which makes it feel traditional and homely. Sunbeds and chairs and tables surround a small pool that looks out over the sea, making it such a lovely paradise for a Sunday. Splendid views can be had from small, leafy patios attached to the rooms, and the rooms themselves were very clean, with comfy beds and a powerful shower. Secondly, the owners/staff were so welcoming, flexible and just lovely people. Their positive and helpful attitude really was the cherry on top for this place! We would go back in a heartbeat.
