Even though we were given a free ticket for use to get free parking, there was only street parking and we were lucky to get a spot. But the location was ideal for what we needed. Wish there had been an elevator to get to our room, but manager helped carry our luggage.

Nothing we didn't like all was okay

Excellent location to visit the city center. You can park your car in the neighborhood with a ticket that you can get at the reception (for additional cost of course). If you do not look for businesshotel but for family owned traditional hotel, this is a nice choice.
Everything OK.

A wonderful small family-run hotel between the train station and the old town of Heidelberg. Everything can be reached on foot. The room was very comfy, the breakfast very yummy, and the staff super friendly. There is also a restaurant downstairs, with excellent food.
All good!

Friendly and helpful staff.
Our room was in the first floor and was pretty spacious. The room was really clean. We had a double bed (actually two single beds side by side) and a sofa.
We also had the option to have a parking spot (at extra cost) in a nearby location. Considering the various regulations for the parking in German cities, this was really convenient and would recommended it if you are not familiar with the local regulations etc.
The neighborhood is really quite and you can totally relax.
There is no elevator (for the first floor at least), so if you have heavy luggage, this will be a small problem (we knew it and we were ok with this)
The breakfast (at extra cost) was not that satisfying. If it was included in the price I would be ok, but at extra cost would prefer the local cafés nearby, which would cost the same or less.
There was no AC in the room, however there was a fan.
The hotel was built in 1898, so it is a historic and beautiful building. However I would consider that a renovation would be more than welcome in the interior and the furniture, considering the price for the rooms.

Everything was very nice.

location was quiet and only 2 blocks from public transport and 2 stops away from main train station. I like the family history of the place and the restaurant had awesome food for a reasonable price.
No AC but room did have an oscillating fan in it.

Staff was very nice
The room heated up terribly, so I deliberately closed the windows and heavy curtains since it was forecast to get hot during the day before heading out - returned to find the windows wide open and the room baking and smelling of smoke from the pub/restaurant guests below. The 'unlimited' wifi was so terrible that I ended up sitting on the stairs on the first floor to get some work done.
The breakfast was okay at best, with pretty thin coffee.
The room was noisy, not just because of the pub below from which noise and the smell of cigarettes wafted up, but also because the walls were so thin that you hear everything from the neighbours' television to the neighbours' shower/toilet. The bathroom had a slight but unpleasant smell.

Our flight was delayed and the receptionist waited for us close to one hour after 11.00 pm. Staff was friendly overall. The location of the hotel is good, close to the old town.
The furniture is a bit dated. Noise isolation wasn't great and at night the street outside was quite noisy.

Staff on check in and out very friendly. No problem with parking a motorcycle on the street. Was a comfortable room and clean. Was quiet and peaceful.
No tea and coffee facility or air conditioning. Felt a bit 1980s - a bit tired and dated and in need of a renovation and some energy. Felt a bit expensive for what we got.

The hotel is in a quiet residential area. The room itself was large and spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The room was very simply decorated and the whole hotel I think reflects that it is an older (4th generation) family run hotel. I don't tend to spend much time in my hotel when on holiday so or me, the family feeling was a pleasant change from a chain hotel and gave everything I needed. The location is good for anyone coming by train but is a good 30+ minutes walk away from the Altstadt which is where most Heidelberg visitors will want to spend a lot of their time. But it is very close to bus and tram stops and the Heidelberg public transport network is superb so you can easily get to the Altstadt in 15-20 mins.
Some would say the decor in the rooms is a little sparse and basic but really my only minor observation is that the hotel has no lift and so is not very accessible for those with mobility problems. It's an old early 1900s building and there is no easy way to have added one. But that may rule the hotel out for some potential guests.

Fantastic and friendly staff and terrific breakfast well worth €6.50. I asked for and was immediately offered an electric kettle and eating utensils to take back to my room. Good location near the city center and several grocery stores. Very clean.
The room was small and very basic with carpet and furniture well past their prime. The friendly staff and great breakfast make up for a lot of this.

The hotel is very basic, the room was spacious and no noise within the surroundings.

Breakfast was very good, so were the location and the room.
There was a strong smell of smoke (cigarrettes) in the hallway and in the staircase/corridors. Also, there wasn't really a common area where the guests could relax. So basically we had to either stay in the room or go out.

it is an excellent hotel

The location is very quiet with an elegant ambience. It is just between the train station and old city. I was very exited to find the new synagoge on the same street. And the best backery of the town nearby. The restaurant is just underneath. It's out of the reach of tourist groups but still very central, so that one can go to any sightseeing site within 20 minutes by foot. The stuff is really helpful and friendly.
The room is very clean. And everyday it has been cleaned, although we didn't ask for.
Our room is at the outermost corner of the hotel. The corridor access to the room is only about 40 cm broad. Because it is directly under the roof, it was very hot when we came in. And it was too small for two persons.

Great location, friendly staff.
The breakfast was very basic, wish there was a little more.

The hotel is fine. Very clean, organised, the beds are comfortable, the shower is great. The hotel is very quiet, there is no noise around, which I LOVED. The car park is 5 minutes from the hotel and is a closed and secure parking. The staff are great and friendly.
It's a bit of walk to the old town at 40 minutes, that is the only downside.

The room was very clean and the breakfast in the morning was delicious.
The rooms are quite old and plain. It’s also at least a 20 min walk to the Altstadt.
8.0
Good location, clean rooms, spacious, some one is at reception all the time during day, walking distance to downtown, nearby tram/train stations.
No elevator in building, can be little noisy (at night) because of restaurant/bar downstairs.
