Great visit, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great service, rooms cleaned everyday and fresh linen. Would definitely return! And the option of a shuttle bus free from the hotel 9-12pm which is great. The local bus stop is right on the entrance of the hotel.
Only downside would be the hills, to get to the property by walking but if taking the shuttle service or bus no problem!

The hotel has a really nice and kind stuff that helps you with everything. The food was delicious and the view was splendid. Also the location was really close to everything which was a big plus. Rooms, toilets and pools were all clean. For me and my partner it was a pleasure to stay at this hotel and for sure we will visit Ischia and this hotel once again in the future. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Quite close to Castello Aragonese and that part of Ischia, restaurants and other facilities in walking distance. Good pool with a bar, very scenic views. Helpful and polite staff.
Ridiculously served breakfast behind a barrier where you have to ask for your choices, you can't just serve yourself, I have never seen this kind of uncomfortable and kind of embarrassing way of providing breakfast. Very poor selection of continental style breakfast, cold scrambled eggs and bacon, which I had to ask for warming it up. They serve pineapple and orange juice from a vending machine, the quality is just awful. They also serve cappuccino and other coffee stuff from a coffee machine, the taste is just unbearable, I couldn't drink it. In comparison they serve excellent coffee at the pool bar, which means you get the quality if you pay for it and cheap rubbish if it's "included" in the price.
The staff was great apart from one person who regularly ate something while he was supposed to do his job, he clearly should know that chewing while serving is unacceptable. He never put on the waiter's waistcoat and white shirt, and in general well dressed and wasn't too polite, his English was very poor.. He seemed to be in charge so it felt like nobody would be able to tell him how to do his job, he probably needs a refresher training.
There must be a very strange company policy for this and I feel sorry for the otherwise excellent staff, they did everything they could, so it's clearly a management issue.

The view from the Hotel is fantastic, the pool was really good and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were basic but clean and sufficient.
The Hotel was a little but further out of things than I had expected but this was not their fault, I should have done more research. Having said that, it would not put me off returning.

Front desk couldn't have been more helpful to organize day trips, scooter hire. Great view and clean room.

Absolutely amazing! The stay exceeded all expectations.
Room spacious and cozy, with the huge terrace. Gorgeous views from everywhere in the hotel, as it's on the hill. Super large and deep pool, perfect for swimming. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Cleanliness exceptional and provided every day, housekeeping does a great job. Bus stop just in front of the hotel, good connection to all parts of the island, no car needed. Best views on the island! Ischia Ponte and the castle 8min away by foot. Please don't make prices higher, as I hope to come back!:)
This is just for info for someone considering to book the hotel, as it's not the minus per se, but good to know: Ischia is very hilly, and the hotel is on the hill, so won't be suitable for people with walking difficulties. Although the Ischia Ponte or Porto look really close on the map, in reality going back to the hotel it's a bit challenging walk towards the steep street, especially in the summer heat - however, the bus connection is good (although once an hour) and the hotel also offers free transfers between 9 and 12 pm.

The hotel is situated a little out of town at the top of a steep hill but this had the benefit of providing stunning views over Ischia ponte and the monastery. The hotel has no less than 3 swimming pools, together with a sauna and there were more than enough sunbeds to go round. We had breakfast every day, together with 2 evening meals which were of good quality and value.
All the staff were friendly and helpful at all times and the hotel arranged to store our valuables in their safe.
The room was exceptionally clean, spacious and the towels were changed each day.
The hotel offers a free shuttle bus into town between 9 p.m. and midnight each day and we were able to use this on 2-3 occasions without any problems and it is a welcome bonus.
We found the bed a little on the hard side for our liking.
Breakfast was buffet style with hot and continental options but served by the staff which we found a little odd at first but soon got used to this.

The view was very beautiful! There were three pools!
People smoke everywhere! Next to pool, on their balcony. Our two neighbours smoked and we could'nt open our rome window and door, because the selle came in. When you have small children, then smoking is disgusting! Breakfast was strange you stood behind the line and asked what you want.

Good facilities, room was clean, staff were friendly
Could have done with better breakfast options beyond croissants and sweet stuff. Like providing frankfurters, potato slices, fried eggs, bacon, etc.

View, pool, location, staff, proximity to sea, etc were all great!
We were unfortunately pretty disappointed by the mattresses. They were very hard, to the point where we requested new ones after 2 nights, and the replacements were not noticeably better. They also combine two mattresses to make a larger bed, and there was always a gap between them, which was also quite uncomfortable.

First and foremost, the staff were amazing - super friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a wonderful location, with great views and a short (if steep!) walk to Ischia Ponte. It is beautiful. The pool was lovely and refreshing. Overall, this is a lovely hotel - the gripes are only minor!
Randomly, our bathroom window looked over someone else's balcony, and the neighbours did look in...
The room was not particularly spacious, and staying for a few days, it was cluttered (possibly our fault for having lots of stuff, as we were travelling for a month!)
There was an air-con unit situated on our roof, which was noisy from early every morning. It did not disturb us much, but would bother a light sleeper.

We had a wonderful stay in room 99. The view is amazing, the pool is great, and the staff is friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
Only minus was the music from the bar next to the pool and the sun beds. It was too loud and turned on from lunch until evening.

A lovely typical Italian hotel, Italy at it's best! Everybody was charming and helpful, the view is stunning...

Hotel Parco Cartaromana far exceeded our expectations. The views were stunning, the rooms were very clean and authentic italian, the communication was excellent but the thing that pits Cartaromana above the rest is the service. Every single member of staff is superb. There was nothing we came up with that they didn't have a solution for, nothing was too much trouble. We mentioned on the first day that we weren't wowed by our room and asked if there were alternatives. They didn't hesitate in moving us to a secluded, private balcony room with a unique sea view at no extra charge. We had some pretty dodgy weather while we were in Ischia and spent a lot more time in the hotel than anticipated. The staff absolutely made it. Top class people.
The only thing that let's Cartaromana down is the food. At lunchtime there only seemed to be a bar snacks option and the quality was quite poor. We had dinner there once and it was average and the breakfast was just ok. A lot of sweet pastries - typically italian admittedly - and basic cold cuts. On the other hand, the fresh orange juice option was lovely and I was impressed at how good the scrambled egg was.

The staff is very accommodating/ helpful
The hotel is built into the side of a hill, with a lovely view of the castle but some people could have difficulty navigating the angle of the walk down to reception or to the room.
