Breakfast was good and the service from the youngsters was with a smile and polite. Location on the beach is excellent. Bedroom lovely and spacious and clean.
Dated in places and could do with a little TLC.

Room size was fab, went to sleep listening to the waves which was magical.
Shower was terrible. So small I could only shower sideways in the bath curtain was constantly sticking to me and banged me head twice on the support bar as a result almost fell one also. Strongly suggest getting a proper shower rather than the bath. Was surprised how bad it was considering this is part of the core service a hotel offers. A decent wc. Could only have been worse if the water was cold.

superb position, on the beach

The hotels trump card is the location. The staff were universally pleasant and helpful..
Although perfectly clean, the room and public areas are clearly showing their age. We understand plans are afoot to replace the building and that is a good thing.
At my advanced age balancing precariously in a narrow bath in order to shower is not a good idea.

Great location next to the beach on one side and views over Poole harbour on the other. Plenty of space in the guest areas on the grounf floor that are not found in more modern hotels. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Bed could have been more comforable and pillows were a bit "lumpy". Good size bathroom, but a poor design with the toilet was squashed in between the vanity and the bath. A very large diesel generator was in continous operation in the carpark below our 3rd floor room. Bit noisy with the sliding doors open.

We had been allocated a room close to a lift as requested due to mobility problems. We were also upgraded to a seaview with balcony suite which was superb. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient.
Fresh drinking water in the bedrooms could be made available for guests. The tapwater was very warm and bottled water wasn't readily available.

The breakfasts were very good.
The room had a wonderful view with a balcony(paid extra).Enjoyed the terrace area.
Very glad of the free onsite parking.
The restaurant was very limited for someone who does not eat cheese.
Room furniture dated & worn
Lift to car park failed to work.

Excellent location; pleasant, helpful staff, spacious car park. Clean room with balcony and beautiful view.
Food was disappointing. Only the 'Italian' restaurant open, same menu every night. So-called Italian dishes mediocre though the more English ones were fine. Breakfast boringly standard, self-service. Serving trays with bacon etc. under a heater but only just warm; fried eggs looked congealed and large quantity of boiled eggs left to go hard. No room service.

Room was excellent glad we decided to go with a sea view. Morning sun amazing. Car parking great, fantastic breakfast choices. Very quiet great staff.

Location right on the beach
Breakfast very ‘average’ and for all but £310 per night for an ocean view room we did not feel it was value for money. Room pleasant but very ‘standard’ things like bottled water would have been a nice touch.

Excellent service in restaurant and at reception

the room and its view was great. both breakfast and the restaurant were really good. the location was perfect.
the bed/lounge area was exceptional, however the bathroom looked tired. would expect a 4* would have updated the bathroom to a walk in shower rather than shower over bath. just needs a little work

The room was ready when we arrived even though we were a little early. It was lovely to be overlooking the beach. The location of the hotel is excellent and the facilities were good. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was good without being outstanding. The room was well equipped.
The only thing which could have been better was the bathroom. There was a crack in the window and the water in the wash basin took ages to drain away. We just felt that it was probably time that the bathroom was replaced.

wonderful position
rooms are very very dated and smelt of damp

The room was very clean and had a bath with all the usual bits and pieces. Right outside was the beach, oth sides of the hotel. Swimming pool and sauna.
Be warned, breakfast is self serve and they seat you by the windows, which means, by the time you walk you breakfast to the table, return to get your toast, butter and tea cup, tea pot etc, you need return for milk and various other things like jam etc unless you are an octopus. By the time you sit down to eat, your breakfast is quite litterally COLD, so sit next to the food. You also have to ask for scrambled egg, but on 3 seperate occations, the children just look blankly at you and don't actually put the order in, so be sure to insist they understand the request. Seriously, 3 times in row.
They also do not have draught English beer, only lagers and cider.

The Breakfast was well presented, plentiful, hot and excellent choice
Reading some of the previous reports, the hotel maybe a little tired in some area’s,but value for money, quality of food, quality of all staff and helpfulness, you really can’t complain, also the parking is free, unlike some other hotels.
4.0
Bedroom and comfortable bed. Location brilliant. Restaurant food excellent served in attractive room.
Bathroom fixtures very dated. I absolutely hated the boom, boom, boom of the horrible “music” played during our dinner the second evening. The first evening I was relieved the boom of the pop music was replaced by gentle Italian love songs. I would suggest background music should be easy listening and not include the heavy beat which accompanies so much of modern music. The fish tank at the entrance which should have been attractive smelled horrible and needed cleaning.
