Nice, clean short stay option

Beautifully landscaped grounds, friendly staff and a clean and tidy room.

There was no fridge in our room. The breakfast was disappointing and offered a low quality food selection.

Friendly welcome. Comfortable room. Pleasant location.

Most things were fine. As a little comment I would have thought a four star hotel would provide a hot breakfast cooked to order - at least brought to the table. But the quality was fine.

Lovely Indian vibe hotel

The room was beautiful and the bathroom had plenty products available. The decor was nice.

The view from the room really let it down. Breakfast was very disorganised.

Wonderful apart from the breakfast

The room was compact but had a super king size bed which was very comfortable, large flat screen TV on the wall and lovely bathroom with walk in shower. We were a part of 8 'older' family members occupying 4 rooms. Everyone liked their rooms and Karen on Reception was very helpful in sorting any issues we had.

Unfortunately the breakfast for all three days really let the hotel down. The quality of the food on offer was very good, however it was self service buffet style and most of the food was very cool, eggs were cooked to order if you could find a staff member. Buffet items often ran out and were not topped up no matter if it was 8am, 8:30 or 9am. If management could increase breakfast staff to ensure items were topped up and improve the 'keeping hot' of 'hot' food then the hotel would be really superb.

Always happy to stay here

Everything about this hotel. Staff always take the time to speak to you. The rooms are spacious as is the bathroom.

It was just perfect for us.

The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. Was everything and more we like in a hotel room. The breakfast was good. The Management and staff were only too happy to help. Very welcoming and friendly.

The staff were great I forgot some items in my room and they helped return them to me!

I loved the style of the building it’s theme was great it was clean the pillows were super comfy, the shower was awesome bathroom nice and modern and clean.

The breakfast maybe could of been better. And would of liked to of been on a higher floor. Kept having to close the curtains on the lower floor as it was looking onto the car park. And people often walked past.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and a bonus historic building!

Donnington Manor was beautiful and where the restaurant was located. The main hotel was nicely presented, clean and comfortable

Room great, food terrible, Manager ignorant!

The suite was lovely, very clean and comfortable

The Restaurant! The food on the Dinner Menu was terrible. What you get is not as described on the menu so we complained and we weren’t the only ones. There were only 2 waiters but they didn’t appear to know what they were doing and also were manning the bar. Also they kept moving furniture about and dragged tables and chairs about on the stone floor instead of lifting them, so very noisy. Then, who looked to be like the Assistant Manager, was in and out of the main door of the restaurant at least 6 times and let the door slam every time! Hotel Manager couldn’t have cared less about anything.

The room was spacious and clean. We had a dinner at the hotel restaurant which was better than we expected.

The hotel furnishings are showing signs of age, could do with a refurb. but it was clean and suited us for a 1-night stopover

we were given a £5 voucher for the restaurant off £35 dining however it didn't state anywhere when we went to use it were told we had to spend £35 each to claim it.

Bar and restaurant staff were lovely and friendly. Evening Bar food was really good. They gave 10% discount for guests. Charging points for electric vehicles were available and working!!

No hairdryer in room. It took almost half an hour for one to be delivered which made us late for a concert.Breakfast was OK. Multiple items has to be asked for. No non-dairy milk was available with regular milk. This is usually standard at most hotels. Poor selection of bakery only mini danish, no croissants only bread to toast.

comfy but was disorganised

the room was a good size and the bed was comfy.

On the Friday night there was music playing until 11pm then on the Saturday night there were guests that were socialising until around 12.30pm. We had booked breakfast for the Saturday and Sunday. we went down for breakfast on Saturday and we stood waiting for about 10mins and nobody came. I went back through to reception and he went to the kitchen. We looked at the cooked items and there was no beans left, only 2 slices of Hash browns left, only a couple of rashers of bacon. We couldn’t even get a glass of orange because that was low. We went back to the reception which was unattended for another 10mins and we found out he went to the kitchen. I asked for a refund for both days and we went elsewhere for our breakfast.

room 103 had no curtains in the room. this made a really bad nights sleep and woke up early due to day light

Lovely rooms, spotlessly clean, very friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are definitely value for money.
