Great location, at the centre of the town, literally cathedral gate! Great staff, Rob recommend us a lovely restaurante-The Cook's Tale- out of expectation experience.
very poor wifi...

The staff was amazing and the location was great
This is an old hotel so you expect some uneven floors and walls but our room was very uneven and we were very aware of it when sleeping and our bed was tilted toward the head of the bed. The bathroom was at the point of being unsafe with the slope in there

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast and amenities like water, sparkling water, wine available and breakfast served was great...some noise at night but it's because it is on a city center street right next to the Cathedral- it died down after bars closed around 11 or so- didn't keep me awake

The continental breakfast was lovely and also brought to our room. The staff were amazing. Thank you. So comfy and relaxing. A fantastic location.
The noise from other guests was loud. Snoring and talking etc but it didn’t bother my sister and I. The kettle just about fits in the sink to fill up, but you can take bottles of water to your room from the reception area. We had quite a lot of stairs, but they took out bags up to the room and informed us we should have rang down before we left and somebody would have collected them for us. We had a fabulous time. These are just little niggles. Real butter with breakfast which we love. Perhaps some cold drinks such as OJ. Thank you very much. X

good continental breakfast, made with homemade fresh fruit salad and warmed croissants, real Greek yogurt. Comfortable bed. Lovely view of the cathedral from the passage to our room. Quiet road outside.
Steep set of stairs from the front door to reception (about 14) and then several flights of steps/stairs to the room (very old building is lovely but this was too much for us), including outdoors section across a fire escape to reach the building containing our rooms. Luckily it didn't rain. The tiny shower was hard to cope with and similarly the toilet in another small room, no toilet paper holder (unhygienic having to handle the roll each time) . Paper cups (2) for hot drinks and two flimsy plastic cups for cold water which were not renewed on the second day. Being a very old building, walls are paper thin - so you are given free ear plugs! Very small TV and no Netflix.

Central location and great continental breakfast including fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt and fresh croissants.
Lots of stairs (some painted black so difficult to see) and outdoor walkway (but ok if not raining).
Not keen on leaving car in public car park out of sight (but easy to give reg to hotel for sorting payment, and no problems with car).

Perfect location for our stay, adjacent to Canterbury Cathedral and adjoining the Cathedral Gate itself.
Great continental breakfast with fresh fruit (including melon, pineapple, strawberries etc), freshly baked croissants, cereal or porridge, fruit/Greek yoghurt, toast, fruit juice, fresh coffee/tea etc.
Outdoor stair walkway to our small double room at the top.

Very lovely staff, location, view, close to city center, quiet room, check in, check out, filtered water, vegan milk, wifi, historical building
The breakfast wasnt continental...just musli, toasts and tea, no air co, a bit broken window in the room, pretty noisy at weekends from streets and the technical room, depends on the room. Would change the lights and lino floor to make it more historical and healthier. Not sure about parking options.

Excellent location. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was a good size, the bed very comfy and the towels were soft and fluffy. The continental breakfast was outstanding, the best I have ever had in a hotel.

Rob is a delightful young man with a heart of gold and a head of the most illustrious hair. The staff here is extremely personable as well as knowledgeable about the surrounding area. 10 out of 10 Peronis, would recommend.
My only regret is that I spent one night instead of two or three.
