We stayed room only, we were checked in quickly and the male employee who checked us in was friendly and helpful
The room was next to a main road which was quite noisy in the early morning. There was a double glazed window that when shut did eliminate the noise
6.0
Friendly staff and lovely garden
The shabby room especially the bathroom
8.0
Charming room with period furnishings. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Bed was a bit too soft, lighting in the room a bit dim.
7.0
Bathroom, except for the delay caused by "no hot water" in tub, although personnel discovered it could be turned on by pulling up on the faucet handle while turning.
It was unpleasantly hot in the room. A fan was provided in the room, but it was very difficult to position the fan so that it blew upon us as we lay in the bed.

Staff were very friendly. Great breakfast
5.0
Breakfast was excellent.
We were very disappointed with the room allocated to us. We had room 5 which bore no resemblance to the rooms depicted on the hotel website. We paid £189.00 bed and breakfast, the same price as other rooms in the hotel . We booked many weeks in advance, yet we were given a room which was furnished austerely, with old , one could say almost utility items, again, not at all like the rooms on the website. We accept totally that our bathroom was across the private corridor, and totally understand why, and have no problem with that. That aspect was actually quite charming and quirky. OK value at £100 per night, but not £189.00 for this particular room

Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff
A little noisy, as on a busy road until late at night.

Excellent Sunday Lunch, very helpful and friendly staff.
Drink prices a bit pricey but no more than most Stamford Hotels

Room was lovely, loved the decor and very comfortable

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety to choose from, took our beloved pooch Herbie, very nice touch to have a doggy bed, two bowels and a bag of treats for him.My only regret is we went to a couple pubs in the town, and when we got back to the Bull and swan my wife and I both agreed we should have spent the night here, will definitely do it next time!

Cosy pub. Room well equipped. Good food. Friendly staff.
Having to park at nearby sister hotel.

Charming and historical
Very busy and noisy. My room was above the kitchen and I had huge extractor fans spinning and humming loudly all night. Kitchen opened at 6am and I barely slept.

A lovely Coach House, very well set out.
Room was well appointed.
The team member at check in was great in seeing us to our room and explaining our facilities.
The room had some work undertaken leaving an exposed wall.
The shower pressure and temperature was lacking. water no hot enough although turning it all the way to its hottest temp.
Dinner - not part of our package was onsite and we were very dissatisfied with the burgers and have addressed this with management following our stay.
We didn’t feel that we connected with the staff and wasn’t asked how our stay was upon checkout.

the approach to the room around the outside pizza oven area is bit tacky

The room was very comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. The bathroom was large with walk in shower and claw feet bath. We invited local friends to join us for dinner and all the dishes were very good. The chef and staff dealt with my food allergies with care and understanding. There is an excellent choice for breakfast and this is also freshly prepared. The meals exceeded our expectations and all the staff were friendly and professional.
The restaurant area was very cold as it was a chilly night. We were disappointed that the log burner had not been lit.

Overall a really great stay;
- The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful
- Comfortable bed & big room
- Great breakfast
- Nice location
Housekeeping checks need to be done a bit better;
- Toilet in the bathroom hadn’t seen bleach for a while
- Milk in fridge curdled into yogurt (but replaced quickly on reporting this)
Also not the hotels fault but there was no available parking at the sister hotel up the road (think there must have been an event on) so we had to find alternative paid parking that only took cash which we didn’t have.

Disappointed that we only received an email the day before to advise that the restaurant would be closed with no really explanation.

Good location, comfy beds and friendly staff. Lovely rear garden.
Pillows were too soft and room didn't have a window that could be opened. The room was looking a little tired. Could do with a brighter light as very dimly lit.

Staff were pleasant and helpful
Couldn’t get Wi-Fi in room only in bar area. Cooked breakfast was disappointing. No air conditioning.
8.0
Historic Inn with super-friendly people and an amazing Full-English breakfast. Bar is also cozy and wonderful, too. Room furnishings very interesting and memorable. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Lack of air conditioning in our room. Probably not a problem on most days.
6.0
Staff & food.
The road noise & the bedroom looked a lot nicer on the internet.
