Love the location and car park
Great breakfast
Lovely towels
The room, bed and bathroom were far too small for two adults Room would have been suitable for one person

Our second time of staying there - as we pulled into the car park on arrival, it felt like coming home! Love it - welcoming, friendly and very comfortable! And a wonderful wildflower meadow in the garden!
Nothing not to like!

dinner was lovely and staff were very welcoming.
Room was cold even though radiators were on.

We loved this beautiful period property which has been brought into the modern age in terms of style and comfort while retaining its original character. We had one of the best rooms with original mullion windows overlooking the front and side where there is the most gorgeous wildflower garden. The staff were exceptional: front of house and everyone who served us for breakfast and lunch. The food was wonderful. We will return.
Nothing. Everything was first class.

Location excellent. Very good staff. Good food. Excellent staff.
Noisy Fan rattling outside our room but stopped at bedtime. I think it was coming from kitchen.

Special place with special people.
All fine.

Beautiful room, so luxurious
Breakfast wasn’t included, however, it was such a lovely room we didn’t mind

Hotel was nice, clean, easy to find with friendly staff and parking.
To get the room I actually booked would of been nice. The room I was given had terrible road noise and the bed was solid.

Lovely breakfast, nice range of foods, polite and efficient staff.
Shower just hot enough.
Nothing, we knew what to expect

it is a lovely house and very comfortable. Pleasantly old fashioned in a splendid location in a beautiful town.
I really enjoyed my stay as I have done previous stays but I would like it even more if the musac in bar and restaurant were turned right down- maybe off?

lovely old building in a fitting setting for an historical town.

location and parking facilities
nothing we did really dislike apart from the location of our room. Too many awkward stairs for us to use.

ideal location staff were excellent room was fine but a little cold.our sleep was ruined by other inconsiderate noisy guests at 12.30 and again at 3 in the morning .Although not the hotels fault maybe they could have quiet rooms available ?

No privacy in the room, dirty nets at the window facing the road, when the light is on have to pull the curtains in front of the desk for privacy, having to go behind to make a drink. Only 1 plug free, so unable to have the radio on and make a drink. The staff appeared to be pleasant.
Hit with a £100 charge on leaving, without any knowledge, just an email to say staff had found cigarette butts in the bin replied, yes of course, I bring them in and put them in the bin, no where outside to leave them.
No reply, then rang them to exp!ain, was told someone would ring back no call, when I ring back call disconnected, tried again, same thing.
Got a call today from a manager who basically called me a liar. REALLY ! After his staff saw me go outside to smoke??
This is a greedy scam, I have to prove I didnt, NEVER will I leave card details on line again.

breakfast very good
Room was very spacious, but did not like the very narrow circular staircase after a walk to the back of the hotel to get to it.

It’s a smaller hotel which is beautifully rustic but has the finer touches added. A lovely atmosphere and the staff were really welcoming.

I am.quite disabled and was promised a room up one flight of stairs. I had to struggle up 3. I asked to not have dog paraphernalia in our room, but there was a too small bed and small bowls. There were no instructions for the Coffee machine and the room was too hot

There was nothing we didn't like .

The hotel is situated off the main road into Stamford and it is easy to walk in to the town quickly. The check-in was very efficient and staff were friendly. The room was in an outside block, not particularly attractive but the room itself was OK. The room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good, as were the breakfasts.
The TV kept switching itself on during the early morning, must be some type of wake-up call mechanism. The room was not as warm as my wife would have liked, although OK for me. However, to use the shower in the wet-room was a no-no due to lack of heating. Brrrr!
