We booked this for our honeymoon. Villa with a private pool. We had a great time staying here.
The pool was lovely, warm and clean with fresh running water. It didn't have the chemical chlorine smell which swimming pools usually have.
We had asked for flower decoration on the bathtub. It looked gorgeous and it must have taken quite a lot of time and effort to arrange them.
The market are and restaurants are a few minutes walk away so we are happy with the location. It's a calm and nice place in the middle of a bustling space.
Breakfast was good with both indonesian and western menu which are made to order.
Amanda was super sweet to send suggestions for food and we tried a few of her suggestions and we totally enjoyed.
There were a few minor inconveniences we faced which I'm probably nitpicking here.
1. The flower decoration on the bath tub were made with some decorative flowers which didn't smell nice. While it looked nice, it didn't feel or smell nice once we got inside the tub. It would've much nicer if we had rose petals in the bath tub. One of the main buttons in the bath tub fell off when we touched. The resting pillow looked old.
2. The resort doesn't offer lunch or dinner which the coordinator Amanda mentioned when we checked in. It would be nice to have some form of arrangement to have food delivered.
3. It's quite expensive for the stay and amenities provided at a non-peak season. We paid about 130 USD a night for the stay. Later we realised we could've got a better deal for the price at the season we stayed.

Pretty much everything. We stayed in two different villas in the hotel and both were surreal. The location of the hotel is a bit of the main road which we really liked cause you get peace and quiet. The place was so beautiful and the staff were so kind.
There were some WiFi problems but the staff tried to fix it as fast as possible.

Great location, spacious villa, super friendly staff, decent breakfast.
The air conditioning was not working properly and we complained. The staff came right away, checked the air conditioner and said it's slow and asked us to wait for 15 minutes.
We waited for 20 minutes and another staff came, checked the machine and said the same thing. By then, we realised they wouldn't be able to do anything about this problem.
Even after waiting for quite some time, the room didn't cool enough for us to sleep comfortably. Probably the air conditioner needs a repair or a replacement.
The bath tub rester looked old and worn out.
The space didn't have lunch or dinner options but the coordinator informed us in advance and provided wonderful suggestions.

Ohhhh, everything. I didn’t find this villa available for more days in our period time😕 cause we wanted more. It was perfect, paradise. We had a private pool villa, and was so nice🥰🥰 really loved it. We spent all the time at the villa for not missing any moment.
We loved every moment.

Beautiful spacious room in a lush green & peaceful jungle setting. So many breakfast options & such lovely friendly staff run this place, ready to help with anything you need. We used the airport pick up service & also the on-site gym. It’s very easy to walk to the main centre of Ubud, there’s also restos/laundry/Pilates right on the hotel street.
There was a permanent smell coming from the shower & sink drains, it wasn’t pleasant but we know the water systems in Bali are not always great. We chose to ignore it, the room & everything else was honestly perfect.

Staff were lovely and the gardens are beautiful. The villa was comfortable and spacious if a little dark. Bathroom probably needs a little updating. The WiFi was very good. Breakfast was served on a lovely terrace. Very attractive pool area although unfortunately there was some building work going on whilst we were there.
The walk along the road to the centre was unpleasant as there are no pavements and a lot of traffic,

best breakfast i had in bali!

Fantastic structure which, despite its proximity to a main road, once you enter it you find yourself in silence without hearing any kind of noise. The host was always available and satisfied our every request. I would recommend it and would go back

The staff were so accommodating, the villa was very private, the pool was larger than expected, sparkling clean, and the bed was comfy. Overall, just a beautiful oasis from the hustle and bustle of Ubud.
That we didn't stay longer.

The location and hotel itself is excellent, it looks as though it is "fully in the jungle", providing a really immersive experience. The room and view were exceptional and the facilities including two lovely pools and an onsite spa were excellent.
The staff were also really friendly and very helpful and breakfast was delicious.
Perfect location for walks into Ubud or pickups from tours.
The gym is of bare minimum standard, there is a semi working treadmill, a bench press with very light weights and an attached pull down element. Probably okay for a female but not a male. That being said the treadmill is of most importance as the dogs chase you if you try to run early/late.
4.5
- very nice garden with vegetation which makes you feel like in the "jungle"
- pools were nice and well setup (one falling into another one)
- breakfast was ok, not spectacular but ok
- staff is friendly and discrete
- well maintained garden
- the room setup with bathroom and one bedroom on the ground floor and another bedroom on the 1st floor is not convenient (we were a family with 2 adults and 2 kids)
- while the outside (garden, pool buildings) is well maintained, the interior could use some renovation
4.5
Friendly & thoughtful staff, arranged umbrellas outside our room for outdoor path around the villa. Free hot & cold water dispenser, amazing! Set breakfast was tasty, had 4 choices & was filling. Very nice towel decoration for my partner, thank you so much.
Toilet many items not working. Bath tub stopper (fixed by staff), shower head holder cannot hold shower head up, leaking toilet bowl. No bath tub handle, hard to get in & out when slippery. Toilet is mouldy.

Peaceful ,nice pool and garden.our room was clean and comfortable.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The staff helped us with our transport from the airport, laundry, arranging a driver for a half day tour and with a taxi to our next accommodation. The grounds of the resort are stunning and well maintained - you instantly feel more relaxed once you're there. The breakfast was great and had a varied menu. Our room was beautiful and the bed came with a mosquito net. The balcony was great to sit out on and the pool is absolutely stunning. We also enjoyed a great massage in the resort which I highly recommend. I loved how peaceful and quiet the resort is even though it is just off a main road.
The gym needs an upgrade - some broken equipment.
Be aware that there is no footpath for some of the walk to the main street of Ubud so you will be sharing it with scooters and cars - this can be daunting for Western travellers and wouldn't be ideal for people with accessibility issues.

We came to Bali for the first time and our first accommodation was at Alas Petulu in Ubud. An extraordinary location located very close to the center, with a large room with its own bathroom, a great swimming pool and a wonderful garden. We were waited for by the host even though it was late and she was very kind. All the staff were extremely kind. During all 8 days the room was cleaned, the host offered us everything we needed. A beautiful experience....

I loved that it was so quiet and the staff were really friendly. The rooms were nice with fly nets around the beds. There are lots of mozzies, but thats just the area. There was a free water cooler in the room with an unlimited supply which was amazing.
It's a time bit out of the centre of ubud, but nice and quiet in the forest. She shower took a while to get warm and kept falling off the wall.
