Fabulous stay at this idyllic hidden tropical oasis, that is part of the stunning Water Palace/Temple in the cultural beating heart of Ubud. Good sized and super clean authentic Balinese style villa, set among the tranquility of the tropical gardens and fountains and overlooking the pool was simply yet tastefully furnished, with a fabulous spacious rainforest style covered outside bathroom. Enormous firm but super comfortable bed and simple yet ample storage for the two of us, with all facilities one needs: daily replenished glass bottled drinking water, fridge, minibar drinks/snacks, aircon, flatscreen satellite TV, spacious private outside terrace with dinning table/chairs and lounge seating, with nightly lit mosquito coils. Exceptionally friendly welcoming courteous attentive super helpful staff made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. The abundant, varied and tasty breakfast was served over-looking the stunning temple fountains and waterlilys and fountains. Breakfast was served to our room/terrace one day and it was delightful and special. We also ate a dinner at the hugely popular onsite Cafe Lotus restaurant and the food was delicious and was complimented by the spectacular evening’s Balinese theatre performance and fountain light show. Hotel guests get preferential restaurant seating but do ensure you book ahead as the queues and wait were long for those without a booking. The hotel staff organised scooter/ motorcycle hire for us too but ensure you have experience to brave the roads, frenetic Balinese driving style and heavy traffic! We had no issues at all and it was a perfect way for us to travel around the island visiting the spectacular temples, rice terraces, waterfalls and beaches!
Building works currently taking place at front area of property entrance but it didn’t affect our stay at all and the construction staff were very respectful to keep the area tidy and noise to minimum. We didn’t hear any construction from our villa and we had absolutely no issues.

Breakfast was amazing! Location was great, too. Bedroom was comfy, including smart TV. All the staff gave a smile and greeting, and were truly lovely when chatted to. Grounds were kept very well.
The hotel's motorbike rental was overpriced, 100k a day even if you only have it for a couple hours. Little sound-proofing in rooms and none of the furniture feet had padding so I could hear chairs dragging next door. No shower curtain and bathroom door couldn't shut.

Die Lage des Hotels war sehr gut. Vieles fußläufig zu erreichen. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Direkt im/beim Wassertempel. Frühstück war jetzt nicht übermäßig, aber es hat gereicht. Zimmer super!!!
Eigentlich war alles ok, deshalb nichts Negatives.

The location is right next to the beautiful water temple. The start of the Sweet Orange Trail rice terrace walk is only about 300 metres away.

What a beautiful place this hotel is!!!! Its in the Ubud water Place premises and absolutely worth the stay. The staff is brilliant and very friendly and they ensure that your stay is comfortable. Because of the location of this hotel everything is closeby like the Ubud Palace and their central market etc. I loved everything and every bit of my stay here . Big thank you to the staff at Dijiwa ❤️. I look forward to visiting Ubud and staying there again some day.

Hotel was beautiful, traditional Balienese architecture, delightful

Wonderful little oasis resort right in the center. Cozy, beautiful vegetation trees and flowers, birds sounds…wonderful views every morning from lotus cafe having breakfast, just in front of water Saraswati temple, an absolutely deluxe moment.
Staff so kind and polite. Special thanks to Henry and Aryan , you were really nice and helpful.

My husband and I really enjoyed our holidays in Ubud at this property.
Breakfast was great. Hotel was right in the center. Rooms were comfy.
Hotel is under renovation, therefore entrance to the hotel and temporary reception are not very stheticly looking.

Very central and close to everything
Facilities are a bit disappointing. Locking the doors is a bit questionable. Breakfast service is extremely slow, I had to skip it in the last day to make sure I get to my destination in time

There was construction at the next door room which was uncomfortable. Other than that this place is perfect for central Ubud.
Construction noise next door, and construction at the entrance also

Breakfast was excellent in the lotus cafe adjacent to the hotel. The room was very nice.
The wifi was unavailable for half a day which was frustrating.

renovations were annoying and I suspect will go on for some time ?

Very central, easy to get to everything on foot from this location with lots of great restaurants.
staff were helpful and friendly and the grounds and the standard of craftsmanship on the decorations was beautiful. breakfast offered a good choice overlooking the lily ponds in front of the temple.
a quirky property with a lot of character and if you know that it used to be part of the temple next door, you may enjoy it even more.
the staff warned us when we arrived that they didn't take responsibility for the security of the rooms. the safe didn't work and a member of the team came to borrow my door key as it fitted the padlock on the door of another room. yes, there were padlocks fastening the door rings, and yes, my room key also fitted another room. when I arrived, a gardener was walking behind my room past the window in a very tight space perhaps spraying the plants, but put altogether, these things made me feel very unsure of leaving anything in the room.
when I called reception to ask if the man about the key worked for them, the manager came immediately to reassure me, but it was a little late by then.
mosquitoes in the room, bathroom was not clean, holes in the beautiful ornate wooden door meant I couldn't keep the room clear of mosquitoes. water stain on the ceiling and something running across the rafters above the ceiling during the night woke me a few times.

While ideally located in central Ubud, the hotel grounds and bungalows are situated back from the main road, hence, a quiet environment. An enjoyable breakfast is served in the Lotus Cafe next door to the bungalows, with the bonus of a beautiful view of the Temple and lotus ponds as a backdrop The bungalow, with verandah sitting-out area and garden is reminiscent of early Bali style accomodation -- relaxing and comfortable surroundings.
The swimming pool for relaxing by, or to enjoy cooling off after a day out is well maintained.
While renovations were being undertaken during my stay, work was carried out with the aim of causing the least amount of impact on guests. Staff always obliging and helpful.
Another most enjoyable stay at Puri Saraswati Bungalows. Thanks.

The customer care here at Puri Suraswati Bungalows was exceptional. The hotel contacted me before I arrived and personalised my visit, even though it was just for one night (I've booked more). I felt welcome before I even left my own country.
Dewa collected me from the airport without a hitch and helped me with changing currency, and other things I needed. Rati welcomed me at the hotel and I was taken to my room. Wow. I've stayed in many hotels in this price range, but this was a rare treat. The spacious airy bungalow had every creature comfort, including a marble sunken bath. One side of the cottage is all window, which slide open to reveal steps to the ancient Hindu temple next door. Guests are welcome to visit some of the most sacred statues and inner temples with some guidance on respectful dress and behaviour from hotel staff.
The bungalows are all unique, and built around water features, statuary and a pool. The gardens are just lovely. Flowers everywhere. The little complex is in the heart of busy and vibrant Ubud, the art and craft capital of Bali. But tucked away beside the lotus pond and temples meant it was peaceful. It was a wonderful introduction to the bright, friendly tropical island. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect, the bedroom was gigantic, the view and the porche outside the room, the staff, nothing to complain.
There is no trash bin in the bedroom. Also, the shower curtain is a little bit short, and the floor gets wet easily.
