The furniture of the room and the overall architecture of the place is lovely.
The dogs:
I wanted to have dinner but the hotel didn't offfer any, as I was the only guest. The staff then indicated me a restaurant which was 5 minutes away on foot. When I went to the restaurant it was already dark outside, I was directly attacked by the extremely aggressive and big dog of the neighbour of the hotel. I was shocked, sweating, under adrenaline and ran away to the hotel and informed the reception about the situation. They told me to grab a stone against the dog because this would scare it away. In the end I made it and also took my hiking stick to defend myself. I can assure you that it's really stressful not to see from where the animal is attacking as it's pitch black. In my opinion, it's utterly unacceptable that such an expensive hotel doesn't speak to their direct neighbour about their dogs being a threat for their customers and, hence for their business.
The noise:
If you have a room on the side of the river you MUST bring earplugs or be resistant to noise.
The cleanliness:
I had long black hairs in my bed.
The price:
I had to pay 5% more when paying by card and the place was unable to provide me with a bill of my stay.

The lighting and cleanliness of the top room need to improve.

It is an oasis in Santa Teresa, on our way to Machu Pichu we stayed one night, although there are a lot of road works around it was a pleasent stay for this night. Staff was really helpful and kind, helped us with taxi to the great hot springs near by and to hydroelectrica the next day. Thanks!
None. Great value for money.

the owner is very friendly. breakfast was nice.
the owner’s staff, on the night we arrived were not friendly at all. they used there own exchange rate and when we wanted to pay by card, an additional 5% would be added. we were looking forward to the “dinner by candlelight”, but they did not serve dinner at all (while still it was on display on the counter. we had to go find something to eat somewhere else (which normally is okay, but we had a long day). altogether not a very warm welcome to say the least.

The hotel ground, the quietness, breakfast, staffs, dogs, rooms.
No hot water, no dining facility, breakfast is a bit slow.
4.3
The facility itself and shared spaces looked nice.
The receptionist didn’t speak English so we had to
communicate via Google Translate and has no
knowledge about anything (taxi, town etc.)
We made the booking just before arriving to the hotel
and at the place the receptionist told us that we
can’t stay (even though there were plenty rooms
available) because the booking needs to be done
3-4 days before arrival!!! After some discussion and
showing the confirmation of our booking he accepted
us.
Then we were told that the bar is closed (it was
7pm and it should be open until 9pm) because the chef
left and two minutes later we sow the chef coming
out from the kitchen.
There were no towels in the room. The window in our
room was broken and we couldn’t close it.
The bathroom was very poor.
SUPER UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE and expensive
as the place is not cheap!!!!

- charming wood lodge
- wall wide window to the hills and river
- fireplace in the evening
- rooms were not cleaned, at least the bath room trash could have been emptied for hygenical reasons (in Peru you throw toilet paper in the bin)
- very noisy, you hear every step and word of your room neighbors as if you would share the same room
- no hooks for towels, no cupboard or shelfs
- basic breakfast, no fruits as promised in the description, only at additional costs
- no restaurant service, apparently temporarily unavailable due to road work in St Teresa but we went twice to the town without issues. We had to order at a restaurant in StTeresa
- little choice of non alcoholic drinks for kids (water or inka kola). Fruit juices would have been nice.
- no minibar/ hot water / coffee in the room as mentioned in the description. Absolutely no issue for us, they have it in the lodge entrance but they were most of the time empty.

The lodge was really amazing, surrounded by amazonian jungle and with great rooms and facilities.
We only stayed for a day, it deserved more time to enjoy it fully.

Fabulous views .. lovely balcony over the river, nice use of wood, and stone paving...Lots of plants and accommodating. staff.
Dinner was expensive for what was offered.

Great staff, great views, good food & coffee. Loved the location!
Cold at night & no heat. Could have used a space heater. And hot water took a while to come on (& sometimes no hot water).

The setting of the place is amazing. It is a beautiful place. Kind and very helpful staff. Soothing to sleep with the sound of the river.
Not much hot water for showers, and the pillows can be a little better. No place to hang up towels.

Our room was stunning and the whole hotel area is made with a lot of details.
Nice shared fireplace.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
The hot water in the shower didn't work.
If you order food it takes quite a while until it's prepared even if it's just something basic.
Info: Because of the pandemia there were no tourists allowed on the train from hidroelectrica to aguas calientes. We decided to walk and it was a nice 2.5 hours walk.

Breakfast was always excellent and the time we requested. Staff went above and beyond for us. This place is remote and difficult to get to but in our opinion worth the challenge to get there.
