Just love the farm.
I think the place needs maintenance.

Breakfast and dinner were amazing. Location perfect for wine tasting.
The TV - we couldn't access anything, except music.

The location and setting of this estate is stunning. The beds were tremendously comfortable and our time spent here was extremely relaxing. The food was delicious. I definitely recommend this place for a peaceful and luxurious stay.
Nothing. It was all wonderful.

Beautiful estate and location!
Very simple rooms with basic amenities for the price

Everything on our stay was great. The staff’s great attention to detail; the food and the wine (specially the ‘bubbles’ Sarah); and the location, not far from Franschhoek and other wine estates. The views to the Simonsberg Nature Reserve are breathtaking!!
Great value for money too.

Location is great. The garden is beautiful and breakfast was very nice.
I think that the bedrooms and bathroom were a bit run down and tatty in places. Places where a new coat of paint was required and attention to detail.
One of the staff…I think the night time assistant manager, had his family sitting out at the pool all afternoon drinking .I’m sure thats fine in off season, but it definitely changes the ambiance and takes up couch space, which is rather limited. We just felt it was rather unprofessional.

We really liked the hotel and the facilities. The people were super nice and the room was amazing!
We think the food (breakfast and tapas menu) can improve. Other than that, it was perfect!

Breakfast buffet wasn’t as good as it could have been but cooked breakfast was good

Beautifull location. Barbere cottage was really great.
Barbere cottage has 2 bedrooms. It will be nice if each bedroom has an aircon remote.
The Savoye Restaurant is extremely expensive and the waiter only provided us with the tapas menu. Only after ordering 2 rounds of tapas and complaining to him that our young teenagers will never get properly fed on these small portions did he bring out the board to show us other options. Our bill was around R2000 for a not so great dinner.

The views and location are obviously wonderful. We had an amazing massage by Candy outside in the vineyards and the pool was lovely. Alicia on the reception desk was also really kind and helpful.
Where do I start ? It was meant to be a luxurious stay in one of the large cottages. It wasn’t. Sadly we felt the food was not freshly prepared, the rooms weren’t cleaned properly , the showers had mould in the grout, there were sewage smells , the doors didn’t close on the bathrooms , everyday something broke or didn’t work properly , the keys to get in and out of the property didn’t work and no one answered to let us back in at 9pm , we got charged for things that we weren’t meant to be charged for ( cots , buggy hire , the included breakfast ) ( then refunded , but only after a few conversations) - and the lists goes on. It’s a lovely vineyard with beautiful views. Sadly the service and facilities really lacked. I have never written a bad review before , this will be my first and I feel sad to be doing it. I would have like to had read this before spending such a lot of money at this place.

beautiful estate
no place at the pool when we arrived so we had to lay in the grass, we got dirty towels (also in the morning) and there were spiders, wasps and other insects in the rooms (also shower…)

It was one of my more incredible outings and experiences. The staff are very helpful, well trained, incredibly friendly, highly efficient and attentive. The facilities are wonderful. Modern, well looked after, great little touches and value-adds. The vineyard rooms have the most spectacular views. Love how the rooms could 'open up' and reveal the scenic vineyards and mountains. The air-conditioning was great. Loved the linen and the bed, finally having a smart TV was amazing.
The coffee station was one of the highlights of my stay. I need to know where they get the rusks from! Delicious!
Other than the room, the facilities are great. Used the pool and poolside lounges. Amazing! Breakfast is to die for!
The towels had a bit of a musty odor to it. Maybe the towels were folded while a little bit damp.
The bed linen was a bit stained. Not sure if it was dirty or just stained.
Maintenance in the room needs a bit of attention. I stayed in Chardonnay, the bathroom door couldn't close. Might have swelled a bit. Just a note from one hotel to another. The mini bars that are placed discreetly in a cupboard really heats up due to lack of ventilation. Mini bars aren't cheap, my suggestion is to have the maintenance team install a discreet vent on the inside of the cupboard, just to assist with ventilating the hot air generated from the fridge.

Check in was smooth with a very friendly receptionist who took us to our rooms and explained the hotel facilities.
The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well appointed.
The estate tasting room has great views of the area and hotel; guests are treated to a complimentary tasting.
There is no reason why I will not go back.
3.0
Location, close to Franshoek and surrounding wine lands.
This property is not a luxury vinyard stay.
The room was in a conference venue and was typical accommodation linked to conferencing. Guest servicing was non existent and there is no way to communicate with house keeping from your room unless you walk to the office (In the rain. Even though we requested, and they confirmed a twin room set up, we had to make do with a double bed.
Access to the property was very frustrating after 5pm, as their security access did not work and the management and emergency numbers were not answered, so we ended up sitting in front of the farm gate hoping someone will eventually answer the phone or come out the gate. HUGE security risk for women.
The breakfast facility was unavailable as the kitchen had been handed over to a group from the manor house who required a kosher kitchen and we were sent to the bistro at the gate to find breakfast. There was no warning of this even when we checked in.
This is not a tourist friendly venue, very little to no information provided on the surrounding area. On check out we were asked if we had availed of our free wine tasting........ too late we were on our way home and no vouchers were provided.
