The main bedroom we loved it.The bed was big and so comfortable :) the room was very spacious. The bath was great. We loved the property as we went for a walk and enjoyed the view.
Wifi connection wasnt as strong in the main bedroom but worked well in the 2nd bedroom

Lovely spacious unit, wished there was another couch to stretch out on, there is the space for it! And it would be great if we were offered to include milk (more than the little boxes provided - not enough for 3 adults and two kids).
The plugs are very far from the bed so extension cables would be great to be able to use your phone or tablet while in bed.

Beautiful property, spacious rooms, amazing nature around, my children ABSOLUTELY loved it, exploring the property at-large. The restaurant served DELICIOUS food, and breakfast was very nice. Amazing experience and would definitely go back!

They added many special touches such as nice Kalahari cosmetics and a complementary bottle of wine

I liked the fact that one could have breakfast until 10.30 am., as we are not "morning people". The breakfast choices were also very varied (better than the lunch and dinner menu, which was a bit limited). The food was very tasty and presented beautifully. When I told the manager that the aircon in the room was irritating my sinuses (I had a very bad cold, at the time), he went out of his way to provide a big heater instead, as well as an extra warm throw, for our bed. My husband and I loved the location and the tranquility of the wine-farm setting, as well as the small wedding chapel - also on the farm.
The room, which was more like a small, separate bungalow that we were given (it was number 7), was extremely cold, as it was surrounded by tall trees from all directions, which threw continuous shade over our room. There is a fireplace, but we aren't used to making fires and at one stage the whole room filled with smoke...! Needless to say, we didn't try that again. Also, our car got permanently covered in bird excrement, including the handles of the doors - because of all the trees overhead. If we do ever stay at The Country Guesthouse again, we'll ask (in advance) for a different, sunnier room.

The rooms are amazing with a separate living area with a fire place. The big shower was amazing.
The complimentary bottle of wine was an added bonus. Breakfast was outstanding with such friendly staff.

Cleanliness, good food, friendly staff
Breakfast included, but it was a bit confusing how to order from the menu. Maybe no menu but just ordinary breakfast to choose from: Fruit Juice, Fruit Cocktail with muesli and yogurt, main meal: bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, Coffee or tea. Simple choice

Check in was quick and efficient. Our room was clean, spacious and exactly what I saw in the pictures when I booked. Location lovely close to Somerset & Stellenbosch. Parking and 24 hour security was perfect.

to be really nitpick, it would be the single lane road. tough when you have two cars coming in at opposite direction

Excellent location, within easy reach of the wine farms in Stellenbosch. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Lovely grounds and excellent patio to watch the sunsets. We didn't use the pool as the weather wasn't great, but it looked nice, clean and well maintained. The rooms have very comfortable beds, mini fridge, tea/coffee, decent size wine glasses and a complimentary bottle of wine and bottled water. There is a TV, but we didn't turn it on. Good Wi-Fi and a stunning breakfast each morning. They have a nice restaurant on site, but we only had breakfast there.
We were in Room 1. The bathroom is in need of some renovation and a little more TLC would go a long way in making the accommodation outstanding. Little things like the plug missing from the basin, dirt trapped in the grouting and around the shower screen. A dangerous hole where the drainage trap is, missing shelves, etc. Our friends in Room 2 and 3 also had bathrooms that need renovations and TLC. In Room 2, the curtains had not been put back in place properly and she had to re-hook them in order for them to close. The locks on the patio doors are a bit flimsy and hard to open. The garden needs a little bit of weeding, but other than that, we really enjoyed our 3 night stay.
